Here's my first theme for TF3D v2.1

Great work! I'm also using GenY D2 R2.
I like blue color as in udk R7.
Hope you can release a final version to change all ugly green color highlight to BLUE!!!

Those icons are from Tsowenstaskbar3v1.5

However the HTCVolumeControl.dll in the cab file is not compatible with Gen.Y R2. I think Yozgatg is customizing this dll file to function correctly. I could give you a cab without this dll. Only thing you'll miss is the speaker icons.

EDIT: I just uploaded a customized version which includes the speaker icons. It works correctly on my diamond.
EDIT2: Just found out that the customized version somehow prevents the phone from ringing. Once Yozgatg has the taskbar perfected I'll ask him if I can post it in this thread.

If I disassembled the CAB correctly, the attached zip file (containing the cab) should install only the Blue Highlights.

1. The Background picture is stored in the windows folder on your device (Background.png). Might be that you have to set it manually through wallpaper settings. I did put in the corresponding registry key for the background. Let me know if manually setting it works.

2. If you mean that you get 4 icons in a row instead of 3 then yes, that is correct. If you want to revert back to 3 use Diamond Tweak. Scroll down to "17.2 Icons disposition" and set it to "3 rows".

Once Yozgatg releases his taskbar cab, I'll see if it's ok to post it here as well.

If that doesn't work you can copy the background.png from your windows folder to you My Pictures folder and set through wallpaper settings.

By the way, the only difference between the Blue/White and Blue/Black is the color of the Tachi Dialer.

If I'm not mistaken, this mod can only be used when allBG is installed. I haven't had the time to look into this. Maybe in the future.

The white/blue and black/blue links will install the blue highlights including the corresponding Tachi Dialer. I've added 2 more links that will install the Tachi Dialer only.

No you weren't too fast. The Blue/Black link is working. Somehow something went wrong with uploading the Blue/White file. I'll re-upload it tomorrow morning at around 7.15 AM (GMT+2).

Depends. Do you want the theme as it's shown in the screenshots? If so download the "White/Blue Tachi Dialer" link. If you do not want the Tachi Dialer customized with blue you should download all attached cabs except for the Taskbar and the Panorama View. Order of install is not important and you should install to device memory.

The cab you refer to only contains the blue highlights.

Might be a stupid question....I know the customised taskbar for Rev.Y isn't done yet, but is there any reason why I can't use the one posted here? Getting very bored looking at the stock taskbar! :p

You can use it, however you might experience some minor issues with volume control. Also it could be that if you receive a call the phone won't ring. I haven't tested the R2 version on R2-Rev.Y myself so I don't know for sure.

If you want to test, let me know what you find. If you want I can make a cab without the volume control. Then you'll have all icons except for the volume ones.

It should work just fine on your ROM. I'm using the R2-Rev.Y, but it was also tested on R2. I'm using this one Blue-White (http://members.chello.nl/h.malsen7/xda/Themes/Blue-White.zip)


It should be the same one as in post #1. Give it a try.

I created and tested the cab on Gen.Y R2 and it worked perfectly. Now I'm using it on Gen.Y R2-Rev.Y and on this one I also don't have any problems.

I think it was the highlights + white/bluie tachi dialer. Didn't know that it would change my Manila icons, backgrounds ++ as well. Just wanted blue highlights - which I didn't get (they stayed green). But maybe I've misunderstood something...

They overwrite existing files, however they do take up storage because the old files are thrown in a backup so you are able to uninstall the cabs.

Keep in mind that if you install Laser Inc. Blue Highlights (White TachiDialer) v3.1.cab, you do not need anything else. This cab contains the entire theme as seen in the screenshots.

Haven't found anything yet. I'm not getting any errors. If it's not too much trouble I would like you to hard-reset, install the theme first and then synchronize. See if that works. Because that's the order I use as well.

Otherwise I do not know what could cause the ActiveSync problems The only thing the cab does is add/replace a lot of images and some dll files. But none of these files are linked to ActiveSync.

If that doesn't work you can copy the background.png from your windows folder to you My Pictures folder and set through wallpaper settings.

By the way, the only difference between the Blue/White and Blue/Black is the color of the Tachi Dialer.

Don't know. I'm waiting for Yoz to customize the VolumeControl.dll for the Rev.Z ROM. However I've been using Tsowens Taskbar 5v1.7 for a while now, without any problems. So I guess the attached taskbar in this thread shouldn't be much of a problem.

Bugs and Fixes

Keep in mind that these Highlights are tested on Gen.Y ROM only. If installed on any other ROM it could be that the all your Manila menus get screwed. This is because the HTCMenus.bmp is not properly proportioned for that specific ROM.

However if you like the theme, I could give you the correct bmp file. To do this you need to do something for me. Check your windows folder for the following two files:

HTCMenus.bmp
HTCMenus_mask.bmp

And post them here. If you only have the first one, that's ok too. I'll create a proper HTCMenus.bmp for you. Once I've created it I'll PM you. All you need to do is copy it back to your windows folder and soft-reset.

You should be able to install the Tachi Dialer cab without any problems. I've attached the customized HTCMenus.bmp

Just copy it to your windows folder, overwrite and soft-reset. Be aware that you should do this after installing the blue highlights.

Currently I'm using 5v1.7, haven't experienced any problems yet. You can use 3v1.5, however on some devices it may cause the phone not ringing when someone calls. I myself haven't had that problem. I've attached the cab of the taskbar I'm using now. So it's up to you if you want to use either.

The taskbars where made by him (see: Tsowen's thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=512971) the version of my cabs correspond to his versions), I'm just trying to customize them to run on the new Manila build without any problems. It should work on Gen.Y 1.5. I took the VolumeControl ddl from Yoz's 1.25 kitchen.

On which screen do you press message? If you create a new message through the message tab it still opens WinMo interface.

I don't fully understand your question. I downloaded your attached zip-file and found a 3G icon in it, active and inactive, and the same for phone icon.

Actually there is a problem. It seems whenever your in a non-tf3d window and try to access the menu it's all distorted. Any fixes for this?

The fact that your opera stopped working, is ROM depended. It has to to with the file standard_skin.zip in the "\windows\opera9\skins" folder. To prevent this make a copy of your original file, install the cab and then copy your original file back to the opera folder.

Nope. I've been busy customizing my own ROM based on Gen.Y R3 kitchen. It's near finished. I did manage to get the green highlights in SIP converted to blue. Next to this I converted some more. Cab for SIP and full new theme will be up at the end of the week.

I will send NRGZ28 a PM to see if he will be kind enough to share his Tachi Dialer package.

Which cab are you referring to? The full theme? The full theme should include the clearclock as seen in post#4.

If you use the packages I noted in my previous reply your startup screen should not change. If you take the full theme the startup screen should change into the attached screenshot.

Not yet. I need to recab the entire theme. Haven't had the time yet. About the PhoneCanvas cab, I'll need to look into that. If I'm not mistaken I installed the cab posted here without any problems. I'll get back to you.

I've uploaded a new version of the Rhodium PhoneCanvas highlights. This cab does not contain phcanvga.exe. I found that this was the file that kept screwing with installation. If you want the newest executable check out here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4733497&postcount=2167

Just copy it to your windows folder and overwrite.

It will change the Manila startmenu from 3 to 4 columns per row and if you press the All Programs softkey, instead of a list of apps, you'll get 4 columns per row.

I haven't tested the full theme on stock. However, as this theme is based on TF3D2.1 and Stock ROM uses TF3D2.0, I wouldn't advice to use the full theme.

You could use the separate CABs I posted, just don't use any of the dialers. I don't have a blue highlight cab for Diamond original dialer.

Just one thing, after you have installed the Blue Highlights cab, check your softkey menus. It could be that they get distorted. If so, let me know and I'll customize a file to correct this.

The taskbar itself is compatible with all 6.1 ROMs, however the icons for the Settings pages (ie. Personal, System, Connection) differ from 1.7b.

Take a look at the screenshots below. If you have the same icons as in the screenshots, you should go with 1.7c. If you have different icons, you should go with 1.7b

These icons are the only difference between 'b' and 'c' version.

Don't know what the difference was. I checked my local file and it's 2.2megs. I've reuploaded the file on MediaFire.
