Do you have Windows Mobile Device Centre, for Vista, or ActiveSync, for XP installed?

Try disabling fast data synchronization on your HTC Phone.

Clear the checkbox on Settings-> Connections -> USB To PC

Are you using the mini usb default cable (that came with your phone)? Some cables do not lead power correctly, just in case.

I don't find that, the only option there is "Enable advanced network funcionality" :s

I think that is the original one, but I am not sure. The phone charges, could the problem be the cable?

Sorry for my English ;)

Your english is just perfect.

Sorry about that, i use WM6.5, so the name must be mistaken... you are right, that's the functionality i was talking about... sometimes, it makes impossible to connect to ActiveSync...

A friend of mine got the same problem with Touch HD... it charges, but no ActiveSync... just changed the cable, and it was fine... Just to make sure it wasn't the same problem.

Could you also check mini usb plug on your phone? I also got a bent pin that made it impossible to update Roms... But it would charge also... you should have 5 metal pins separated from each other about 1/2 mm...
