I got a bricked P800W with a very low price. The former owner tried to flash it but failed. This is a Dopod P800W made for Taiwan user (perhaps with traditional Chinese interface). It won't enter bootloader mode with "voice + reset" or "voice+power+reset" key. But some times it can enter hardreset mode by press two soft key. That is, without push reset button, it can enter hard reset. The prompt words is displayed on screen. I pressed green "send" button, two more lines like "format as FAT..." appeared on screen, then screen is messed up with color bars. Most times green bar, sometimes color rectangle. One time, When I press buttons randomly, IPL xxxxx, SPL aaaaa, appear on a green background for a very short time. xxxxx is digital, aaaaa is some character, not digital.
Nothing more.
Is there any hope to fix it?
Does anyone have a JTAG solution for this phone? Any clue is welcome. I can help to test.
Thanks

Hey dude....,
There is a lack of proper information from your side....
Can you write the exact thing with proper numbering what happens when you reset your phone....???
Is SPL 1.11.0000 ???
Proper information will be appreciated...
Thank You..

Oh, thank you. I'll try to describ it in detail. But my phone is disassembled by me. I'm trying to find the JTAG points. I'll observe and post them after I put my phone together(if it still work).
A dead mainboard of P800 is on the way. I'll try to trace JTAG point on it. Then, load a SPL image. Finally, update the ROM.
On the mean time, could anyone tell me where SPL is loaded in RAM please? Is the address 0x1000_0000?

It is hardware problem. Probably-flash chip.

I don't know. Perhaps the former owner didn't told the whole story. Perhaps he dropped it and hide the situation.
Today, I got that very old main-board of P800. All its big IC is almost removed.
I can see most of the pad easily. I've got a user manual of OMAP850 too(thank that good man in our forum who share it on RapidShare). But it seems the JTAG pad of CPU do not connect with any test pad near it. I do see there is a short trace that connect TCK pad. It disappeared into a via hole after less than one millimeter. Perhaps there is more than one IC on the JTAG chain. the terminal of these singal is not near CPU.
Things getting complicated
