first of all -sorry for my english.. if someone will be so kind and correct some of my mistakes on pm i'll be gratefull..

do not touch your dual unless you are 100% sure you know what you're doing. read how to flash rom and how to change radio and how to check hardspl version and then read it one more time before connecting cable. i am not taking any responsibilty for any damages you do to your pda.

a simple idea for a rom - no manila and no titanium, no honeycomb, but not a lite version and with speed of wm6.5. rom packed with software selected by ram usage, speed, usability and my taste. some oempacks and all tsk themes are made by nothin/xoen (thanks)

included: wow srs, adobepdf, palmsms, totalcmd, alreader, s2u2, s2p, icontact, xnview, claunch, todayagenda, aidate, opera mini, skyfire, metrix and many, many more great freewares!

as for a warning - sms app is not standard so its may be hard to use it if you are used to microsoft/arcsoft app. mms works (for me for sure) bu htc connection setup doesnt support config, doesnt work so great with sips and has no icon for notification. but i think this app is great ;) also i deleted all ringtones and forget to add any new so i hope you have your favorites on card ;)

customization also import file with sms (PalmMsgV001) from storage card (root directory) to \windows\ - its best way to restore backed up earlier sms messages.

some apps will be removed form final version. current version is.. well just proof of concept

Well... it reminds me the good old WM 6.0 Standard on my old HP IPAQ 514.
Still in love with it. Cause it 's fast, stable, sends/recieves SMS and it can handle phone calls. LOL! It 's a real phone.

No kitting I 'm tired of the futuristic, laggy, crashers etc. Android - WM 6.5 OS.

I haven't installed it yet. But I 'll let you know.

well like most of software in "system" folder hexedit is added "just in case" because it's small, doesnt take any ram and i remember using it ;P i agree that its not often used now but if you dont like it you can just remove shortcut :)

and there is another reason - hexedit was included in mutlipackage from other kitchen and i have decided to add all programs from this package (as i was using it for almost 2 years on every device i had before)

I have the 16-key NIKI.

1. When I press power button asks me if i want to deactivate the device but then returns to main screen. It doesn't switch off. I just remove the battary.

2. In the dialing screen for the calls, when dialing numbers the phone automatically adds "()-" e.g. dialling "1234" it displays "1(234)"
Is there any way to disable it?

i downloaded some 0415 (plk) files already but to be honest its much easier to port plk rom than make wwe rom to be plk... retuning initflashfiles, rgu's, looking for plk oem files...

and im not realy a fan of plk roms ;)

no - that wasnt radio problem - i messed up powerexe.exe so power settings were not accessible and power off button wasnt working and the second thing i repaired some how with registry but it have appeared after hard reset. new version of rom working better now. file updated

i still cant figure out how to make 16key version.. i have disabled all oem packs in rom and tried many diffrent packs and cabs for keypad and all i get is the "numbers only" :/ (best scenario). i have to try on fresh kitchen although it will be pain in the a** to check all packages...

I might got misunderstood:

Installing the previous cab file on your ROM fixes the HW keyboard displaying numbers and letters too.

But.. there is an issue(at least on my 16key device), the letters are "disoriented", the space button and the XT9 too.

Is it possible to fix it? Or should I try my luck on other threads?

i've checked this cab but i still have 20key hw keyboard working perfectly. im redoing my kitchen - base on newer oem ans some new ext-packs- i think first 16key-rom will be done till midnight today (maybe later but still today)

i looked over strcture of cab and havent found any differences between this and other cas i found..

here in couple hours you can find two beta versions of 16key rom in version 1.02. first to test is version without any other signs. if it work post here report and i will refine keyboard and turn off t9. if it doesnt work install version marked with g (dont ask why g)

after install it will ask you "install cabs?" and if you say yes then it will run 3 cabs (s2u2, s2p, icontact) and then quick script to move some shortcuts in start menu and delete unnecessary gfx files. it is.. well rough because i still cant automize this process but i will do this too :)

version 1.02 with 20 key hw keyboard i will test myself but its quite good for now.

So everything works great. BUT...

-your 3 included ring tones are corrupted. Well don't care cause they are basic.
You should think of adding some cool ring tones. It's the only thing I didn't like when i installed the rom for the first time. And I 'm pretty sure that you have a dozen of them.

Almost forgot. Include a good video player like TCPMP or CorePlayer.

I found a bug in NIKodEm_1.02_2g_16 ROM. The contacts in SIM card aren't displayed in kontakty and pootlook. They are visible only in iContact. One program that i unintalled because ididn't like to use. And I don't know if it is possible to copy the contacts from SIM to device and the oposite.

This issue didn't exist in Nikodem_1.01.

Anyway I 'll try the other roms and i 'll report. (The roms you removed:confused:)

go to advanced config (in settings => system) and afair in phone section there is option to enable sim contacts. i dont use them since my operator gave me card full of crappy "tell future" services and in this version i've finally found right xml.. sim contacts will be disabled in next versions.

i've found 3 things... opera mini and xnview are in polish.. xnview can be switched to english easly but opera not. i have to use other pack.. and i dont know why skyfire suddenly stopped working in one of last of my tries... :/

I installed your NIKodem_1.01 and the keyboard fixes you told me (your link to the other thread) and a greek keyboard pack. Ringtones, wallpapers, video players, destinator, switched the xnview to english. that wasn't that easy. Thank GOD your language resembles to english (2-3 letters in each word) LOL.

I think I 'm tired...

Anyway I have 2 programs that i like a lot, VSpainterLE and Flite. They are nice programs to include in your next project. Also the pocketMeasureConverter.

My TCPMP works like a charm. It's the 0.72RC1 version with subtitles support. Never crashed with all your Nicodem versions. So...

im uploading newer version. besides of fixing bugs (now everything is in english) i added others languages to t9 and since that version i hope there will be only one version of rom. customization (in theory for now) ask about version of keyoboard and aplicate patch, then ask about installing 3gdialer and some other software. its not runnig cabs any more.

now you can switch between 3g dialer and standard wm6 dialer without soft reset by using switchdialer.exe (or .mscr)

anyway - i still didint choose any wallpapers and ringtones but i added one (itcrowd.wma) just to be there ;)

1.03 doesnt support 16key as i wished earlier.. it still need a patch but i made it easier - it killing process and delete reg tree automaticaly so whole process is much quicker.. next version will be probably based on this..
after patch it should works like a charm
