- SDHC drivers in optional cab in archive, the drivers built in are the standard ones
- Hard reset after 1st boot after flashing, please
- 1st boot can be looong depending on version
- If stuck on 1st or second splash screen, then just soft reset
-During 1st boot & post install, screen dimms and goes black.
There is no error ! I adjusted backlight time settings to save battery.
Please push power once to get back to calibration step,
and during post install jog the wheel to keep light on screen, or let it go black for 1 min then push power once.

It can be tricky to get back light on screen, don't think my rOm is bugged, as it isn't !!! :)
It's just tricky for 1st boot & post install, today's use OK

- Fixed bug tab "Ring" of Chome, it goes right to "ring settings" now, and not to the dialer screen

Lots of cabs in the cabs folder of post_install. I should have really cleaned this - sorry for the mess.
Only one cab is really needed - GoogleMaps,
otherwise it can create errors with Manila if not installed.

The name of the Internet is "Proxy Internet",
if you use automatic set up from Chome tab "getting started".

Please note that some of the other cabs like Titanium Weather might not work for config because of this.
(You can open cab with WinCeCab Manager and edit the Titanium Weather.mscr to change internet settings.)

You can download any version of Titanium Weather here on XDA and try them.
This is rather old pluggin and I don't use it anymore :)
prefer the black Manila to give you top-class lookin' weather update ;)

Here is what I do :

1°) Flash + hard reset
2°) Auto config, then the device reboots
3°) Tab "Getting started", I set up the Internet connection, then I delete the "getting started" thinggie
4°) I switch from Chome to Manila
5°) PIM restore + Advance Config system filtercache at 4096 sectors (recommended, I have 8 Gb SD)
6°) Soft reset, because after PIM phone is always slow !!!
7°) I start to play with the ROM :)

Sound can be adjusted as usual in a phone talk with the external wheel

For system volume, it's because the new notification page doesn't have a system sound plugin ... I think the HTC volume control can override the inconvenience. I'll try to implement the one from MEGA soon :)

I called myself from home and was able to join the mobile phone perfectly. I think it's not ROM related,

Hi Nar, got some with cleanRam when used from CleanRam Config, it did freeze my PDA....strange....after a softreset, i tried it but with CleanRam and no problem but after the softreset, i got a screen telling me that i got a problem with MortScript V4.3b5: ''.mscr and .mortrun extensions registred. Yes. The Clean Ram process is now very long to act. You must wait for the ending message or it will freeze your PDA.

The screen you got after soft reset is normal, it's Mortscript and because you installed TitaniumWeather; once done, this message takes place at boot.

ATM no possibility to change ring volume ! :) Sorry :)

But you can put on vibrate or silent by comm manager, or increasing ring for example.

I indeed tried a hard reset and I use a french version. Last night I tried with my girl friend's sim card and it works :( So you might be right I need to intall an other version of my radio. How can I know wich version I have and which one should I install for bouygues?

Then -> To use, press Start, Settings, Personal, Buttons

then map button 1 ( right button under the Power button ) to "SetVolume" program in the scrolling list, then OK

Done ! from now, you can acces both system volume and ringer volume by using the right hardware button,
tap on top of the screen to change between system or ringer control :)

Well "probleem met opstarten" means problem with startup ... please hard reset after flash !
1st boot is VEEERY long as it has to configure lots of things that you can't see :)
Config is auto at startup then, fo you've unzipped "Cabs" and SDConfig.txt at root of your SD
If stuck on a splash at this 2nd startup, then remove battery for 3 seconds,
put it back and start again normally.

Found a new error... :( since I've updated, the wireless connexion cannot be loaded. And if look at the connexion parameters, there is no mac address :eek: any idea please?

From which ROM have you updated ?

I've just tested the Wifi and it works fine on my WEP encrypted box.
However, it is true that sometimes the wifi configuration window (menu down right)
doesn't open the page where MAC is displayed etc.
It's a known bug of the Comm Manager. Insist and it will show eventually :)

How much effort is it to make a German version of it? Did you use a kitchen?
There is no german WM6.5 rom so if you could manage to make one (I could help) you'd be the king of all german Trinity owners.

If you can't or won't do it, I'll look into making a german keyboard patch for it.

One last question: is it possible to automatically disable the memory eating GUI (Chome, Manila) when launching TomTom (or other nav soft)?

Thanks, I'm new to cooking but porting works and ROM work pretty nicely, so I have many things to learn for sure, but you can enjoy the ROMs nicely ;)

I can tell you : Yes, I use kitchen, and mostly try to port myself :) I could try & do a german kitchen for now, just need the language files but I mean, you'd have whole SYS in german but not all the other apps (PIM backup, etc thus add german cabs for your applications) it will be for testing for beginning :) I can remove all non german apps apart from WM core.

If you can't or won't do it, I'll look into making a german keyboard patch for it.

My friend, keyboard FingerKeyboard is included in the ROMs, I cutted out all languages apart FRA and WWE, but I can easily restore the German keybord on FingerK in the ROMs :)

One last question: is it possible to automatically disable the memory eating GUI (Chome, Manila) when launching TomTom (or other nav soft)?

You have to do it manually, but easy in manila, last tab, just one click and you're done, so only 2 clicks away from Tomtom :) for Chome, no disabled needed, Tomtom can turn with Chome, if enough memory left, I think yes it's possible :)

1- I have set the soft button for my preferences (.."contact" on the right)
I understand that the "soft key program in the system parameter does not do any thing
then I tried the advance parameters... the device starts with my peference , but as soon as touchflow appears, it comes back to "telephone" and "photo"..wich is useless as we have hard button for that... I hav not found a lace to set it into touchflow..... is there a way to stabilize my changes?

2- I had to battle with the file tree and had to reformat my memory card. not a big surprise , my previous installation was not clean from that point of view. in the advanced pref, I asked the images to be stored into the "mes images" directory and the videos into "mes videos", I also set the recovery file for pictures to be "mes images" (and not DCIM)... however I find everything into the DCIM directory of the device if I have no storage card and in the DCIM on the storage card , when I put the storage card ...is that normal? I can live with that...but would be happy to know how I could set the directory to store my images as I wish

3- I cannot read any video.. when I am in the touchflow "photo" screen, I can see them but when I touch the screnn or ask through the menu to open, "something" starts, but I get a black screen and the only way to get out is to press the hangup button....(I tested the video on my PC, they are ok)

German friends will (can) use the WWE rOm as I put back the german keyboard in, it's not Windows defaut, but FingerKeybord, you'll have to select it with Ervius SIP selector wich can be found in the ROM.

For the Volume icon, the new notifications prohibit the use of the Volume taskbar button. I will be releasing the use of SetVolume from Marc Landis, it will be ROM built-in, just map a hardware button to use it, FRA works, will implement in WWE tonight :) I use the button under the power button, on the right side, personally :)

It has no memory leak I think :( why would it ?

I can tell you : Yes, I use kitchen, and mostly try to port myself :) I could try & do a german kitchen for now, just need the language files but I mean, you'd have whole SYS in german but not all the other apps (PIM backup, etc thus add german cabs for your applications) it will be for testing for beginning :) I can remove all non german apps apart from WM core.



My friend, keyboard FingerKeyboard is included in the ROMs, I cutted out all languages apart FRA and WWE, but I can easily restore the German keybord on FingerK in the ROMs :)



You have to do it manually, but easy in manila, last tab, just one click and you're done, so only 2 clicks away from Tomtom :) for Chome, no disabled needed, Tomtom can turn with Chome, if enough memory left, I think yes it's possible :)

Yeah having german keyboard would be great but I was thinking of something similar to my old german pack which also added T9 dictionary and such.

Anyways, I would love to help you making a german version. I don't mind if some apps remain english.

What was your source for the french/WWE language files?

I admit this is over my head but maybe what I got is a "flat view" of all files and what you need is a "packaged view" of the same files.

I think there is default WWE keyboard, and you should find ITA version in Fingerkeyboard :)

I will add WWE version updated tonight ( java back, fix videos, etc)

This settle hard buttons, not soft. there is as "softkey program" into the "system parameters"... but it does not do anything.
What happens is that since I have settled every thing I could, I actualay see the right soft keys after a soft reset, but it is erased and replaced (by "phone" and "camera") with the launch of touchflow.... I have been unable to play with touchflow settings. In the "manilla preferences" there is a list of program for "home" but whatever I choose or unchoose, it doesnt change anything....and I have not found any other place.... may be you would know one?

Your latest version appears to fail a CRC checksum. I've downloaded it twice and 7-Zip gives me the same message each time: "CRC failed in 'ruu_signed.nbh'. File is broken."

you can always switch back to old style lock.

In Settings -> Personnal -> Lock, you can select legacy one, then it will ask to restart your WM device. Once restarted, when you lock the device, it will be goo' ol' one :)

With IGO you can't + Manila :(

IGo eats much ram ... not suitable with Chome / Manila :(

I mostly stay with 23016 for now as all new builds are too buggy or eat too much rAm because not fully optimized. I won't spend 2 hours to port something not worth ... waiting for better releases.

I need best performance for my rOms so a Full one is very sensitive and needs something stable and not too rAm greedy to work the reliable way.

Lots of trouble converting 192 to 96. Find the good dpis or use from older builds. But they are buggy, such as phonepad, etc ...

But I have a big t pb now. the telephone does not wake up from stand by anymore. I have to reset it! therfore I set that when pluged, it does not go to stand by.
But I cannot receive call while moving! this is very annoying.
I am very surprised as the previous version worked without any trouble.
Did I do anything wrong? I made very few personalisation.
Is there a way to get out of this ? a parameter to set ?

Don't forget to hard reset after the flash.

No, the "radio" is a set of low level "drivers" coping with gps receiver, gsm, bluetooth, wifi and between WM ... Look in start <> parameters <> System <> Device info or something like that.You'll see your radio version here. To install last one (better gps reception etc) look here :

Remember it's a test version. The "setting up your phone" page is indeed a picture. It's in Autorun resource I can add german text line ... But while calibrating the screen it's written in german, right ?

Got some more muis in german. Not all I would needed ... Zach, could you make a report of what is fine and what's not, in english to be mdified in german, etc ... screens, as I haven't see the rOm at all :p

It got really late yesterday and now I'm at work but I should find some more time on the weekend.

Some minor flaws:
1) The storage card is listed as "Storage Card" instead of "Speicherkarte". I'm pretty sure it was the same in WM6.1. but maybe you can check if your french version localizes device names. Maybe having the EN name improves compatibility with "bad" cabs so I'd leave it.

2) FingerKeys (FK?) doesn'T work. When I select it, it falls back to the normal keyboard. The other input methods work fine.

3) Probably be related to 2): the input method selection dialog at the bottom center takes about 4-5 seconds to open. I assume that is not normal.

That's it for now. If I find more I'll let you know. Screenshots are coming this evening hopefully.

EDIT: Can Chome be disabled? It is supplied by HTC or MS? Looks ok but the aliasing in the Start "menu" looks a little off.

GetPDAScreen.exe in your PC, sync with ActiveSync then use PC tool :)

No it's not FingerKeys at all it's called fingerkeyboard . Use Ervius Sip Selector (if included in ROM, it is in Start Tools Sip Selector so I don't know in german). If not please try to use cab for ervius SIP selector :) it should work :) You have to restore SMS and stuff and soft reset to select FK otherwise won't load :) !

For FK to work I would need you to transcribe the attached app.dat with your system paths in german.

It's easy for native German, open, edit and save with Notepad.

Mostly all "Program Files", and "Start Menu\Programs\Utility" in last line

Then next release FK will work & load !!! :)

In the meantime, to keep you busy:

1) I do not have a tools menu.
Ervius Sip Selector is not in the ROM (at least not in start menu).

Start menu is "Startmenü" in German. There is a "Windows/Start menu/Programs/Tools" folder that contains Clear Temp, Quick Clear and RegEdit.
Correct German path would be "Windows/Startmenü/Programme/Tools".

2) app.dat: shouldn't it be possible to use variables like %programfiles% instead of localizing? Dunno if there is a variable for the start menu though...

3) The regional setting currently defaults to English (USA) but should be Deutsch (Deutschland). Easy to change for me but I don't know where in the rom (registry?) it is defined.

Like I said earlier its already good enough for my taste but together we can fix all those minor issues, I'm sure ;)

I don't mind the power down text. I only list those issues for you, they are non-issues for me :)
I don't know the official text but a rough translation would be: "Das Gerät wird abgeschaltet und ungesicherte Daten können verloren gehen. Fortfahren?" The windows is labeled "Warning", German translation would be "Warnung". If you find the file that contains this, I can check if I find a german version of it. It's not like you're making the first german WM6.5, only the first for Trinity (plenty of thanks and hats off for that!)
I do not have a tools folder in "Windows/Startmenü" right now, but I wouldn't mind one, keeps things organices. Translation for tools would be "Werkzeuge" but personally I prefer tools. The mentioned links in "Windows/Start menu/Tools" should also be moved/adjusted there.

I said it in first post, the post install that goes with the ROM is provided ...

You can install google maps cab (in post install folder) by hand and it will work
Normally, the Post install thing on the SD takes care of it automatically after your flash,
you must have SD config.txt and the Cabs folder at root of SD ...

I often saw that, to enable FK by Ervius sip selector, no app must run, even in background like IE, SMS messaging etc ... the most convenient way is to call FK to load just after the soft reset you did after your PIM restore for example.
This way, just after SR I am always able to load FK. But only like this :)

what we have: incoming sms from any nomber not in list, trying to save it to contact list or make a call (click on number, @action needed@) and no action, nothing happens when i try to save the number (not even contacts app start), and when i try to make a call on numer in this menu a phone app opens and no number in the field or history... so i can't do a thing with numbers from messages app... thet bug is so annoying... i have to use copy-paste and it takes a lot of time.

If you wait 10 - 20 more seconds some action takes place.

I know what you mean. For example, I browse & scroll in Windows, and lots of files in there ; Scroll Touchscreen is very sensitive, so in fact I tell WM to open a file without noticing it myself; device seems to freeze but after 10 secs or so, it opens the graphic in Album, and that took time. So I thought it was froze, but it wasn't :) I had that tonight :)

Also, when I open the Tomtom directory on my SD card, well ...
the .lnk and the tomtom .exe ( 4,80 Mo file) don't show immediatly, I have to wait 5 secs or so ... the rest of the files yes ... and bar shows halfway screen : if I don't wait, I can think the device is frozen as nothing responds before it has read the total size of the files.

That's how I see things. Guys, to give fast reasonable performance on the Trin, the WM 6.5 cache is very heavy for the hardware. Most of the time it's OK but some cases, you have to be more patient. That's all.

For the sms bug on the WWE version, as far as I understand, when you receive SMS from a number not in your adress book, you can't save phone number, right ? Just to be sure. I might try another build of arcsoft then, more recent :)

Did you hard reset just after flash ?

You can use advanceconfig to reduce the size of "Cache du filtre du système de fichiers". I put it at 8192 because it goes well with my 8 Gb. Try 2048 and 4096.

Also, perhaps backup you SD, reformat it with PC (fat32) and re-copy everything on the SD ...

I get no freeze accesing storage card via File Explorer, Total Commander ...

Just try a new flash;
same rom, and hard reset after the phone restarts (after flash.)

It seems your flash was not good, or you didn't get a proper hard reset after flash.

Do you know if there is a way to have the next appointment displayed on the home screen of Manila. I have the calendar so I can click there to launch the calendar and see but it doesn't say the next appointment on the home screen.

Ahh, it seems to be because my event was a multiday event. It works if I just add an appointment as normal.
When I click on the event I don't get a cool page like yours, it just goes into the calendar as the normal agenda view.

I have installed those SDHC drivers so hopefully that will work if I get a bigger card. I don't think my card is actually SDHC now, its just a standard Mini SD.

Technically it would be possible; but they are reasons why I chose to use an analog skin :) I love needles, but I agree, the big digit thing is also wonderful :rolleyes:

I don't plan supporting the chinese plugin, there are plenty of good chinese WM 6.5 rOms for Trinity.

My wife is japanese so I know. Probably lies in a WINCE.nls not chinese input compatible. Browse xda for sopme replacement to drop in Windows, then soft reset. If system boots, it's OK, it might change fonts but probably you'll get chinese plugin support then :)

Yes, the manila is fast because settings have been optimized through tests and skin is a lightweight one, although it was a pain to adapt to this actual version ... :) a lot of work

I won't use Tomme45i base by respect for his work, I wouldn't produce rOms "nAr" with a hidden tomme45i base, that would be disrespectful :(

Tomme45i is fast and stable because (partially) he has no Chome, neither Manila in it. The simplest the rOm, the more stable it will be, and complex rOms are difficult to settle and everything works well inside.

I suggest : you can go back to Tomme45i rOm, it's nice and clean :) or, try my nUdE rOm, which is VERY fast and should behave close to the tomme45i one, or wait ... but don't ask for eveything at same time : slick enhancements and fastest speed, they are mostly incompatible. Think this hardware is 3 years old now, and yes, IE8 is slow, but someone complained one day IE6 was still in rOm and same as WM 6.1 so no improvement and no scrolling ...

I know I'm asking a lot from this old phone, but I just want it to be perfect :rolleyes:

Manila is exactly how I work. Just a few tabs with important things on. The few people I regularly call, messages, and a few programs (TomTom, facebook, PockeTwit) Plus it looks really nice and modern. I like the lite versions with finger friendly menus but I like the manila interface more. :D

I'll just have to keep an eye on this thread to see where it goes :cool:

I still get the occasional File Explorer lockups too, but can live with that for now. Next time I do a ROM flash, I'll be sure and do a hard reset before doing anything else.

To get more responsive interface and more stable:

Advance_Config in Tools then Performances : set filter system cache to 128 sectors and reboot.

For the wifi, the new notification_enhancement package is the culprit. There's a dll confict so it freezes when accessing wifi ...

Preparing clean release for monday. With stable and lots of good things !!! :)

Google maps is to install to main memory ... I said it before ... :D

Also, you have to type a string search then the magnifier button ... sometimes it opens late ...

check if the number is correct
"call"
"send a sms"
"open the contact" or "save to contacts" depending on the case

if the contact exsits "call" opens the call pad, but I have to type the number the two other options work perfectly

"call" has the same behaviour than above (and as the number is unknown by me :( ...)
"send a sms" works
"save to contacts" opens a page with three void buttons.. and every button comes back the the previous screen (the one with the 3 choices)..

yes ... I missed some important packages from MEGA ... moreover, I don't exactly remember what I did on this 20th aug. rOm ;) but I perfectly see the bug you have, everyone has it in my rOm. I just made a test one with the missing parts ... be patient.

Yes, parameters seem better accepted in WEP simple than WPA etc. I have a bug on my Trin, when I have entered the network key, then click connect, it keeps trying to connect and freeze the trin ... I think my hardware might be broke. That's why I asked.

I have same probs on the new rom ( not divulged yet ) ... lot's of MEGA packages, interface much nicer, new Manila M2D2 :) I asked a friend to test this ROM to be sure I have a hardware bug ... :(

It's the new notificationmanager.dll that causes this problem, it's not hardware compatible wit hTrinty. I found a fix however, disabling some notifications and I will update the rOms of course. There will be more bugfixes :

- Tab Chome : "access to ringtone" fix ( it actually opens the phone canvas)
- Setvolume will be directly accessible with the n°"1" key (under power button)
- FingerKeyboard will be loading itself by default, qwerty EN in WWE roms, azerty FR in FRA roms, QWERTZ DE in deutch rOms
- Adding Random Acces MEGA package in Contacts ( right slider)
- Adding of the new SDHC drivers built in for better compatibility with all new hardware
- Global stability and speed of the rOM increased
- Adding a boot animation from Hero (resized to QVGA)
-Mostly, new dialer (chances are)
- etc ...

One other thing I noticed when it froze and I reset it, the finger keyboard did not load up after it had rebooted. It had reverted back to the normal keyboard and wouldn't let me select the finger keyboard. I had to soft reset it again to get it back. Just thought I'd point that out.

The other question I had is how do I change the contacts application so that it only shows "Device Contacts" by default. I try to back-up my contacts to the SIM, but this means that I see two copies of many of my contacts when it loads "All Contacts", which is apparently does by default. I assume this is a registry key change?

My only concern to date is to enable the video call in the dialer - Going in advance config/Telephone/Telephone Skin = activated does not change. No video call button.

More on this, I never changed some AS parameters in Chanvi's kitchen ...

And, you seem the only one to have AS problems ... weird ...

If you're connected to Wifi and if you plug AS, yes your device will freeze as AS does not permit Wifi enabled at same time ...

I'm really sorry for all the pain created. Seems the wifi bug comes when trying to connect to WPA or WPA2 encrypted APs, not on unprotected & WEP APs though. Which is very strange caus' once again, never changed Wifi settings in the kitchen ...

Try to put the settings to "best performance" and not "best battery" in WLAN settings ... you can't get full 54M if not "best performance", and for protocol it might change things too ... dunno ...

He's right, the hard reset straight after the install is very important. I was having a few freeze ups before I did a clean install and did the hard reset at the right time. :cool:

More on this, I never changed some AS parameters in Chanvi's kitchen ...

And, you seem the only one to have AS problems ... weird ...

If you're connected to Wifi and if you plug AS, yes your device will freeze as AS does not permit Wifi enabled at same time ...

I'm really sorry for all the pain created. Seems the wifi bug comes when trying to connect to WPA or WPA2 encrypted APs, not on unprotected & WEP APs though. Which is very strange caus' once again, never changed Wifi settings in the kitchen ...

Try to put the settings to "best performance" and not "best battery" in WLAN settings ... you can't get full 54M if not "best performance", and for protocol it might change things too ... dunno ...

First of all thank you very much for your ROM. It is very nice, and fast. It seems to have a very good memory management too.
But.... I am experiencing the exact same problem as hajali. The device get stuck when I try to use WiFi and sometimes also with activesync.

I tried to follow all your recommendations:
Hard reset -> Flash -> hard reset
Wifi -> maximum performance,
WPA -> WEP
Still the same problem.

Anything else I should try?

... yes but stability isn't assured when connecting to wifi. Which is annoying.

Unless I don't find the error, I won't be satisfied. Currently testing things to solve this. All rOms version will be updated as soon as I find what's wrong.

When i was in 3G coverage network, and my friend is video calling my phone. However, i can see my friend is making a success video calling (while waiting me to pick up). BUT, from my side NOTHING happen!! My phone does not alert me anything regarding my incoming video call. At the same time, i cannot make any outgoing 2G call.

It is expected? It seems a bugs to me.

What about going up the newer versions of 6.5 like 23017 or 23047 (that has the really nice new start menu bar at the bottom).

I got G-Alarm working my installing it to the main memory instead of the storage card. Not ideal but a workaround at least :o

I have a strange problem with S2U2 now. I'm using v.2.04 but I can't seem to remember which setting gets the cool slider along the bottom. At the moment I have to always use the D-pad to unlock it. It's driving me crazy because I used to have it working perfectly and now I just can't find the setting :mad: I must need more sleep or something :D

My WiFi seems to work ok. It froze the first time I tried to connect it but now seems to work ok after a reset. It lets me get my PockeTwit updates and Facebook etc.

Are you familiar with rOm upgrades ? You have to hardSPL before flashing any custom rOm other than official,
otherwise you will get stuck while trying to upgrade.
Have you hard SPL before upgrading ROM ?
SPL 1.07.000 seems strange to me.

I guess it has nothing to do with the ROM itself

Your guess is to use SPL exploit to unbrick device.
Try SPL exploit from my files here :

1°) in ActiveSync on PC , settings, disable USB in "incoming connections" or such VERY IMPORTANT for succes of action

2°) Unzip the files in folder on PC

3°) Plug device to PC whilst in bootloader mode. Then run "unbrick.bat" on the PC. It takes 30 seconds or so, so don't be stressed and wait until the end with the succes message in cmd prompt (black screen). It will reboot your PPC then.

If your SPL number in bootlaoder has changed, it's OK. If still same, directly you will want to HardSPL I guess.
Then, pass in bootloder mode again, & upgrade the rOm to what you want.

SPL Exploit is your last guess ... The .rar package was intact ?
Only on XDA or Planete HTC you can find links, if it comes from another place then don't install. Mediafire gives corrupted rar packages from time to time though ... but all the .rar I send were in good shape for now ...

You should wait until I solve the wifi bug ... there are plenty of good rOms out there

Just install S2U2 over the top. It works fine for me :D It will take over all the screen locking and answering calls etc.

Problem fixed, I added cab fort stk services activation, see my up post

If you have a SDHC card then those SDHC drivers are for you.

Initially I made a package in kitchen to have the drivers fully integrated, but uses who have old SD complain they don't see their card or difficult acces. The new rOms will be with the old SD drivers, and I will release cab to add the SDHC support.

Same for browsing card speed, an optional to get beter video playback performance with movies on a storage card. The cabs to be added soo, with credits for their mutual creators of course.

Now fixing the java thing.

actually - it only gets it wrong when you click and hold on a certain time - in the day view . If you click the time and then click "menu" "new appointment" it gets it right - but click the time and hold it on until "new appointment" comes up it seems to select random times -

Then you do the hard reset. Then the grey screen send OK blah blah
then it reboots, put your SD then

As far as I'm aware, just after you've flashed the ROM you will have to power up your device and go through the screen calibration etc. This is when you need to do the hard reset. :cool:

- Currently, I rebuilt my kitchen from scratch caus' it had become corrupted. In my works, all FRA versions work without the wifi bug now, plus I added a IE8 MAN only ( no Chome ) version, PP at 6 for this version for IE to be slight faster, it needs the cache. It's nice and fast, more than the IE8 MAN CHOME versions. 41 Mo storage free. You'll probably want to try that version when released in WWE.

- Now, the bad part : I didn't had time to build the WWE versions yet. I suppressed the previous WWE from my Mediafire, because I figured out that some people still download the bugged versions even if I removed download links from XDA and Planete-HTC.

To add to the bad news, Mediafire regularly corrupts my files, when they don't supress all of them, without any notice; so I have to re-up some of the rOm versions, and crc check by myself by re-downloading, which is not bandwidth friendly and takes a lot of time and makes me lose my temper.

So, please, dear users, fell free to try other P3600 rOms available here on the forum, in the incoming week I will also release the corrected WWE versions.

Yes, been very busy finishing the FRA versions. Eveything works fine now, interface same style so don't expect so many changes, but UI will be a lot cleaner, all start menu icons are now high res 45 px, plus I removed everything I was not using, & ... currently at work ... :) checking and upgrading the WWE settings for it to be as nice and smooth as FRA ... yes, for french users, FRA versions are online, check planete-htc for the links.

I will be done by the end of the week. I need this time for corrections & enhancements on the WWE. All 4 versions will have standard SD drivers, upgrade to SDHC optional will be possible by cab. So everyone will be happy :)

It seems really good. I got the WWE Manila only one. I've not had a single freeze so far. The new icons look great too.

The only problems I have are:

Yes, you can install that configuration cab, then you get your internet done, afterwards you uninstall the configuration cab to save storage :)

I guess you already have Olipro Hard SPL before flashing.

After flash, the device reboots
You now see the 3-phone screen
Now, it's time for hard reset.
Grey screen with Send (green) then OK.
Then device boots
It must switch from 3-phone screen to windows flag screen
If not, rOm not flashed correctly, so try again, form tricolor screen please

Your radio & hard SPL versions are fine BTW :)

First, I don't see which bug you're talking about, please post a screenshot of the problem you see on your device, here on the thread.
Second, moderate & use correct language, as here on the boards we want to see correct writings & no vulgar manners. I'm no mod but sure they would agree. At least replace the letters (except first and last one) with ---- ...

Simply because this feature is not supported by the skin itself. When you have an alarm active, the alarm symbol is simply not greyed out + green needle on the analog clock. IMHO the less digits on screen, the less confusing.

If you're not happy with skin, you can always change it. There are lots of nice skin packs around here :) just do a serch :)

Yes, there's only one bar with clock digits and the unlock slide thinggie. Note however that you can deploy the notifications by sliding vertically in LockScreen mode :)

Like I said, there might be incompatibility options between google sync & My phone, which is in fact another syncing service. Depdending on what options you ticked in both they might interfere, mostly in registry settings.

You are not alone in the case, I also use it and sometines it never finishes sync or disconnect, thus doesn't retrive messages. It's still in high beta state, reliability is far below 100% for now.

Try deleting from AS on the PC, not on the device.

The contacts are OK, it's just those I've added to the people tab that disappear.

I can't recall if it was after a soft reset or not. I'll check next time.

Hello,

First do a pairing with your other device.
Second, don't forget to turn "Beam" on to accept incoming connections.
(Can be found in Start, Settings (or Parameters), Connections
Then with Bluetooth you should be able to receive a file ...

There might be a Bluetooth bug in the build anyways. If so, when moving to a newer build I will try to resolve it (21864 I think)

Bluetooth doesn't work with pairing either. After pairing the device automaticly disconects so receiving is imposible through this metod. Sending on theother hand works fine.
Hope you find a way to helps us with this problem.

Thanks for reply. Yes the build might be broken regards to bluetooth receiving capabilities. I'm sorry for the inconvenience and hope that at least bluetooth headsets connect and perform well. I might try to fix this, I'll add OBEX features and we'll see.

This is not build dependant but an HTC add-on named "Rhodium_Menu_Enhancement, plus the Notifications_Enhancement from MEGA
(screen when you touch the top bar)

And, it's not a backward in builds; 21864 is newer than 23016, it's just not same build branch :) Also, know that I used 21857 DPIs to build that rOm :)

I like the look of the M2D2. Keep me posted about that. :D

I can make a WWE test rOm for it but it's really ram consuming, tried different values of PP from 4 to 6, even 8 !!! and 0 PP, it semmes trinity is to low in RAM. I mean, It can run it, but at 90%, so no much ram left to use for other apps :(

Good news is, the Arsoft MMS from MEGA runs like hell, :cool: perfect, so it will be updated to newest one. Plus, a trick that opens it in 1 second, much faster !!! And also, I add HTC Lockscreen, because it's really better than $MS actual one :)

I think problems may come from inadequation between WM build & MyPhone builds.
Every cook knows we receive each time MyPhone bundled in SYS, it's updated version some times and sometimes not, and we remove it from cook, but if user installs cab that doesn't match build version, & or the MyPhone build is bugged, then problems appear. Also seems the myphone backup service might interfer badly with ActiveSync, explaining doublons and the "2 delete instead of one" problem in Contacts for example.

As a rule of thumb, if you want to use MyPhone total, then disable Contacts & EMail Sync from ActiveSync ... Pim Backup also create doublons while used together (with AS)

I really appreciate your work. I tried some previous version of your ROM and I have to say that the current one is much better. It is faster and I like the one called IE8-MAN at most.

However I have some questions:

1. I can not find where to change the intensity of the backlight?
2. In WM 6.5 it is not possible to select how long will be the Snooze. It is 5 minutes fixed. Don't you know if it is somehow possible to increase it to 10 minutes?
3. I am missing an automatic internet connection configuration. I remember that in some of the many ROMs I used before I have automatically received Internet connection configuration from the GSM provider after first start of the phone.
4. I use M2DC to customize the TouchFlo. Specifically to change the softkeys assignment. Don't you know if it somehow possible to assign to either of the softkeys "Today"? To have a possibility to quickly return to the "Today" screen from anywhere.
5. When I check any functionality in the Manilla2D Settings on Today Screen Items screen, nothing happens. It seems to me that it has no functionality. However, when I select something in the Today Settings utility then it really appears on the screen. But why I am writing all this. When I want to start iGo 8 I better switch off Manilla because iGo requires quite a lot of memory and I wanted to have Manilla enable icon on the screen once I switch Manilla off. However, once I click Manilla enable button it switches off everything except of the TouchFlo item in the Today Settings utility. Therefore I have to go to Today Settings utility and check the EnableM2D-DevTool to have it on the screen next time I switch off Manilla. I hope that you understand my explanation. Yes, but parameter the m2dDevTool to have the "tap to enable touchflow" on the blank today screen ... to shut off the Manila, last tab there is a kind of "OFF" button. It's a little tricky to enable, but once done it's very handy short on empty today :) Manila on, go to M2D folder in startmenu and hit the yellow to param. then tick the "enableM2D-DevTool", then apply, then go switch off manila in its last tab. You should have the green thing in start menu :

Hello, the one on the picture is now done in FRA rom, I need now to make and release the WWE versions.

The German rom can be found here : it's a rather stable test rom that carries the 2 interfaces, Chome and Manila, so you can change to your needs.

IS there any way to change the top bar to the one that you find in some other WM6.5 builds. Basically you click anywhere on the top bar and brings up a magnified version of all the icons that you can then tap with your finger. I haven't been able to find a cab for it...anyone else think about this?

Those icons in magnified bar are not part of WM6.5 but of the WM6.5.1 builds.
So the're not part of the shell of the 6.5 builds, and that's why you can't find any cab to "install" those :)

I am working in a big revision as my kitchen got corrupted. Ill complete WWE, FRA and DEU rOms in 23016 build, with updated components, etc. It'll occupy
me till Christmas, since I will migrate to Blackstone then.

Now is the big rebuild from scratch. I have no solution but this, as my last personal test rOms get corrupted. Symptom is when you disable Manila, shell reboot so after a minute or so, the PPC has to restart.

I have a Problem with the 1st boot after update.:confused:

1 wait 30min bevor rest - HTC-Picture only Version text.
After 3x Software Reset is the same Problem

What can i do !!

1st boot time is about 1 min or so

You have the symptoms of bad flash, re-flash directly from bootloader ( tricolor screen) mode

Hi,
here how to :
The bootloader is invoked by pressing down both the POWER button and SIDE Camera together and using the stylus at the same time to press the RESET button at the bottom.

mad: german 9.9.6 is best base for now, plus the cab I made yesterday for the good muis.

Assuming you have hardSPL 1.2 :

- After you flashed new rOm from bootloader mode, you let the phone restart for 5 secs or so, and then Hard Reset manually. Be sure to get the grey screen and "green" button then "Ok to boot".
- If stuck then, just soft reset.
- If still stuck, try a 2nd soft reset.
- if all this doesn't work, reflash rOm.

Normally on FRA rOm, 1st boot timings approx :

00 s : boot
35 s : logo "Win Flag"
1'50s : configuration screen that takes you to calibration etc.

On 2nd boot (after customization settings etc) it may hang eventually, so soft reset in case.

2nd boot time is faster :D hopefully :cool:

I'm really sorry you had problems, more than 1000 people downloaded and installed fine the rOms, FRA WWE or test DEU so I'm out of ideas for the moment

Hi!
First of all thank you for this rom i love it! I was just about to buy a new phone but now..no way! Keeping my diamond for sure.
I've instaled it yesterday and i'm having this issue:
i'm using the screen lock and now when i syncronize with activesync it says my phone is locked and i must unlock it (before it would ask me the password directly, i put it and worked fine). Then it shows the keyboard to unlock but it doesnt show the 'unlock' button...i mean i put the numbers but i cant ok...i hope you can understand me...i've try to take the unlock at the settings menu but it happens the same...
Can you help me? i don't know if i'm doing something wrong...i'm trying to install some app and without active sync i think i cant...

But I have a question. When I hit the "Start" menu, I only see one icon: "Today". Where are the programs? And the Windows parameters?

And how to active Manilla instead of the standard Windows 6.5 interface?

The symptoms you describe are a "bad flashed" rom.
Everything should display normally.
Also, be sure to have hard spl 1.2 Olipro installed before flashing rom.
