orb3000.... buddy what are you offering?

LOL
I understand you, I´m in same case but I can´t pay more than 400US...
Converted to my local currency is a looot of money, so I think I should wait a few months so all this "I want to have it first" rush pases and prices go down as always:D
Anyway if you know of a good deal please share it!!:o
Have you saw all the Raphaels are being sold? everybody is geting rid of it to buy the Rhodium :)

Yeah... tell me about it.
I found a few goof T-Mobile TP2's for around 450. Compared to the GBP400 for the Internationl versions, it felt like a steal. Then I found out about the damn no compliance of the 3G standards between Asia and the US.
Safe to say... that plan got canned real fast.
Guess we'll just have to wait for another month. I've tried eBay Singapore, HK, UK and US. No luck anywhere.
Maybe we should give Germany a try. :D
Raphael.. lol... I saw one go for US 150.00!!!

LOL
Yeah, I also tried that ebays!
I really donīt care about 3G, of course itīs better if having it but no prob if not
Letīs stay tuned!, so we can share the posibilities

Why don't you get the T-Mobile US TP2? I know it looks bad in the photos, but i've seen it and I was surprised at how good it looks.
I would have taken it for sure if the 3G was compatible.

I am open to any chance!
If you have any link to a decent price for TP2
Iīll be more than happy to go for it!
Thanks,

Hi Orb,
I just had a chance to play a Rhodium for some time and my personal feeling is, I simply couldn't like it! I would say Uni is still better than Rhodium.
I actually don't want to demotivate you but you may have a private chat with a Rhodium owner to get his impression and how much he really likes it...

I think Tomar is quite correct, I still believe Uni is great, & the changes from Uni to TP2 are not so significant.

Are you guys on crack? Who wants to carry a thick brick in their pockets? know for a fact that it only has a vga screen, 64mb and a 1.3mp camera

Allright, your fault if you start comparing Uni with Rhodium. Makes me post... ;-)
What I actually wanted to write:
I just changed from Uni to Rhodium, I had a few devices in the past, lately I even had a spare Uni just for ROM- testing. Take it as granted that I liked it a lot.
Anyway size really matters, and also for PDA phones the smaller is not the worse in my opinion. That's tha main issue that made me change. The Rhodium is only 2/3 the weight of the Uni, and roughly the size of an EyePhone (comes from eyecatcher, sorry) plus 5mm in thickness for the keyboard, plus some extra functionality compared to the Uni.
My conclusion:
Uni: Still own one, still like it, but will soon sell it.
Raphael: Screen and keyboard too small, overall too thick for the size.
Rhodium: Nice big screen, good keyboard, not many disadvantages, horribly expensive (I paid more than half a month's wage, which is around EURO 560.)
Before you ask for the disadvantages: I'd like to have IR for Remote Control functionality, and I'd prefer the full size SD slot (Have a whole bunch of cards from my Unis), the screen should not be level with the housing, I peeled off three screen protectors in my pocket already. Missing the standard earphone jack. Many small, but nasty things.
Wow, lots of text for a quick reply...

Please people PLEASE!!
Lets keep this on topic, Orb is looking for a Rhodium, he is not looking for advice on which device is subjectively the best!
Back on topic:
So who has a TP2 for sale for this Guy for a reasonable price?

Hi Tomal
Thank you for your words, actually I have spoken to Beasty about Rhodium, and he, as an old Uni user and chef has told me that it is indeed a good option.
Of course I am not geting rid of my beloved Uni!
My Uni will still with me and no plans for selling it:)
As I am about to close a great deal with a Rhodium for a real good price, Iīll go forwards and if I donīt like it I can always sell it and my Uni will still with me!
Let me ask you something: I know you buyed a Blackstone, so I ask you, why Blackstone and not Rhodium?
Thanks a lot for your concern

LOL,
You have to understand that for Uni users we have a special love for that device with all itīs limitants so thatīs because the above comments.
