Radio update?

Have had a SPV M700 for a couple of years now. Still happy with the phone, but have noticed the GPS is getting very slow to lock on.

Have read a variety of threads on this and pretty confused.

It is still on WM5
ROM version 1.23.61.5
Radio: 1.30.00.01

Do I need to update just the radio version? if so, is there a basic guide out there to explain the procedure?

Yes you have a very old radio. Last one for Trinity is in my signature.

Before flashing radio, you should install hardSPL.
Look for Olipro 1.20 for Trinity.

Press at same time "Power" and "Camera" buttons and hold them while stylus in reset pin next to usb plug
release buttons synchro, then release stylus

Then you must see "serial" down the screen
Connect to PC by USB
Then you must see "USB" down the screen
Install Olipro 1.2 now.
Hard reset after install.

Now to install radio, as simple as to flash ROM.

Press at same time "Power" and "Camera" buttons and hold them while stylus in reset pin next to usb plug
release buttons synchro, then release stylus

Then you must see "serial" down the screen
Connect to PC by USB
Then you must see "USB" down the screen
Install RADIO now.
Hard reset after install.

Then you can flash any ROM (for Trinity) you like : WM5, WM6, WM 6.1, WM 6.5 and any language :)

Is it necessary to Install "Olipro 1.2" every time you change Radio or ROM? Or just necessary to install one time (for the first time)?

Once is enough (unless you overwrite it with a full rom that includes an SPL).
