windows mobile VS android [Archive]

I have recently moved from windows mobile to android & the difference is huge. The main reason I was with windows mobile for 4 handsets was all down to customisation, whatever i wanted to do I could pretty much do, for example if I wanted a sound level meter I could get one somebody had made & run it from my phone pretty easily.

But I always found it hard to recommend windows mobile to my friends because it is buggy & if you want to do cool things like change the look/feel of the phone or just add an app then you really need to have a good grasp of what your doing. Its not straight forward or easy plus you can't use your finger to do everything.

Now that I'm on android, specificity the Hero, things are alot more easier. I can still customise almost everything on it & the apps are so much easier to get to. Plus because it has a different kind of screen (captive is what they call it I think) it actually works properly with my fingers.

Not to mention the speed of the thing. Spec for Spec the Hero is really similar to the Diamond but the difference in usability is huge.

I can't say that I'll never go back to windows mobile but wm6.5/7 really needs to pull something special out of the bag to tempt me back
