I searched around a bit and couldn't find an app like I am looking for. What I would like is something that turns on Bluetooth and/or WiFi for a few seconds every ~30secs. If it detects a specific device in range it performs an event such as turns WiFi on, syncs files, etc.

The idea is that it would only keep WiFi/bluetooth on for a small percentage of the time so it wouldn't drain the battery much, or at least not has much as leaving them on all the time.

For instance it would be nice my phone would realize when I was in range of my home network or my bluetooth enabled car stereo.

Even an app that just turns on WiFi/bluetooth anytime it is plugged into the charger and turning off when unplugged would be a help.

Anybody know of anything like that? Or know if it would even be possible?

Dylan

That looks like it has some interesting features. Not really what I was looking for, but I will give it a shot anyway.

Thanks,
