Its a rom on your phone that some of you seem heartbroken over.. You guys are making it sound like you just got cheated on while being in a relationship..

I really hope some of you have more important things to do with your time then sit on the internet complaining that he hasnt kept up his word. How about you go do something productive (like drizzy is doing) instead of being counter-productive(like all of you saying "omg he lied to us, ive had to wait 24 hours too long.. ITS OVER!!!")

He will release it when its finished, if i recall he promised no errors.... something tells me error free isnt an easy task.

he has no obligations to update us. Actually we should thank him for knowing what is coming next. Many developers never announce what they are working on before release day.

I will just say this. All of these members hit it right on the mark. Drizzy is doing us a favor by offering these builds, who cares when he gets them out. He is doing thisd because he wants to not because he has too. So be patient, enjoy what he has out now and just chill and await the next release. If we were paying for these builds and were promised a release date then yes be upset, but he is offering them FREE of charge (donations or no donations)

Yeah honestly it's not very responsive to me, like i'd have to press something twice or more. really not as fast either. kinda laggy, and i didnt even add any apps yet. it's mostly the homescreen thats like that. But some people on that thread seem to really like it. iono. could just be me. Id say you'd rather go with Twisted's build, but still not as fast as drizzy. I got back on .5 and waiting for 1.0

I think all of you complaining need to move to different dev's roms, I'm personally sick of hearing you all whine. The best takes time. In my opinion, Drizzy's Hero's are the best, just tried JAC's new Hero and it's good but Drizzy's still performs better, in my opinion. It'll be ready when it's ready and I'll be all over it when it does...no hate here man, just love for the dev's work!

So after a full day on Drizzy's v.5 which I really like by the way. I have no complaints. It runs as expected. I've tested jacski's 1.6r2a (Ski says its supposed to be faster) and Drizzy's v.5 is still faster for some reason = ) . I know Drizzy's 1.0 rom will be amazing. I don't know what his secret is, but dang its working. I've just flash to test Cyans latest fast and stable as always. V.5 is pretty close in speed in many areas. With Hero having its handicaps of course. I'm happy with the progress Drizzy has been making and even more happy that he shares with us. Thanks for everything DDR! Blowin up Xda and youtube with digital. Goodness!

help with force close :(

dis rom is great, really fast! however for the 2nd time, a force close error keep LOOPING,
stating, "Sorry! The process system has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
there is nothing i can do to continue using the phone but to power it off and on again.

i decided to logcat it since its the 2nd time dis is happening within 3 hours, can anyone help me or direct me?

man i just flashed twisted's new casper (pretty good), and then JAC's 1.6 (a lil slower but still good) and now im back with the v0.5. Drizzy's builds are just the fastest. although to be fair v0.5 is personal and not full. After my crackheadedness for a better rom, im back here awaiting the elite 1.0 lol. or maybe a new fix from the 2.X

i couldnt agree more about speed. although im finding jac1.6 a little stuttery, im still running it due to promising sms experience elite isnt there yet.

ok bullshit aside, i just tried jac with all his mods and stuff, not taking anything away from his work, but Drizzy .5 is alot smoother than jac1.6 based on my experience and i use this phone with 3 email exchange 1 gmail. all day messages, and twitter, using ftp editing documents uploading, just like a laptop and just runs great, I do tap taskiller when i see the red x just incase. i just cant wait for 1.0 and im set

It sounds to me like you didn't wipe your partitions or recovery before you flashed and you're getting conflicts.

if your on adb shell type <exit> then while still on cmd type in adb remount to avoid the mount -blah blah blah... it'll get you right there

I think I figured out the text problem.
I get my texts but they are late, and the time stamps are off.
So if you have 100 texts from the person, they can easily get lost in the mix.

what's with the favorites playing? Almost every dev (if not every dev) owes some thanks to every other dev...and while root may have been found otherwise the initial thanks goes to JF for giving us the rooted stock builds and allowing people to build off of his base as opposed to starting from scratch. Then Cyanogen works his crazy voodoo type magic from there, then Haykuro releases pre-Hero Hero and things take off, and then we have Twisted and Ski doing their things. And Jac and Drizz come in and work off the foundation laid before them (not saying it was necessary but definitely helps to not start from true scratch) and give us two great builds of a Rom that was in no way intended to work even near perfect on ANY G1...

All this taking sides BS is childish and unnecessary...I know each and everyone one of you "Drizzers" would jump to Jac's build if you heard it was running better...and to be honest, from what I could gather on twitter it seems Jac may end up ahead (IMO Drizzy's build is faster) due to the fact he seems to have more support from the other devs.

We are the beggars here. We have no need for allegiance or loyalty...we take what we can get for free and reap the benefits without the work.

Quit the childishness and just enjoy the fact that in our day and age this little subjectively important yet objectively pointless facet of our lives has such great people making us a little bit more happy every other day.

I tested the elite V0.5 but found it slow. This is a guy coming from the latest cyanogen rom however.

I personally don't think that hero builds are ready for the g1 until they can be optimised to run at acceptable speeds. An aesthetically pleasing interface coupled with smooth performance is something i hope is attained in future revisions of the rom.

u do realize that this is his personal build and is only 30% optimized...he uploaded the full version and it was fully optimized but it got corrupted so he has to remake it. thats the fully optimized one and its gonna be way faster in that case.

I'm sry but I installed jacski and I gave it some time. But for me is laggeth .full of loading screens. I was extremely embarrassed showing my hero rom at ihop and all they saw was loading. If all drizzy does is compress png, hey its back to compressed png for me

so then I go right to the directory with the cd /system/sd then the rm -rf /system/sd/* and it says rm failed for -rf, no such file or directory.

Any help wpould be appreciated.

i heard that if you go over 32MB it may break your sd card, but some others say running the swap size at 64 or 90 is absolutely awesome.

ever since he came into this thread months ago just to talk crap, ive thought that. talking crap to the people who didnt want the launcher.apk to be rosie and liked the other features of the hero rom. havent used a drizzy build since then, just as i said in the thread, his attitude there totally made me stop supporting his builds
