View Full Version : Calling S12HT / NIKI500 owners / Experts

Last 3 months i have been trying to figure out a way to make S12HT / NIKI500 / Emonster lite etc etc work on GSM.

i unlocked it , SuperCID it and installed the HardSPL 1.22.

tried radios 1.58.21.23, 1.65.14.06K,1.65.24.36, 1.71.09.01K.

changed some 3-4 ROMS.

Apart from the phone function it works beautifully.

so the Problems are :
1)At present the device info shows this phone as " NIKI100"
2)No signal detected ( i m in India and tried using Vodaphone, Airtel and MTNL sim)
3)In some ROM it does not allow to change the Band in phone settings
4)No one in this forum has a thread / reply which could solve these problems (there are similar problem - posts: - at least 5)

this was a similar problem... and a change of radio was suggested.

also as per the information as on pdadb.net (http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1594&view=1&c=emobile_emonster_lite_s12ht_htc_nike) , this phone supports all the networks

so if you r correct then i will need to show it to some htc service center.

can it be just the hardware problem??

before taking this phone to service center , i will try the CDMA USIM (Reliance or TATA) with this, hopefully that should work.
If not then no other option than the service center.

that was my problem too. but now i fix it by change radio board which is gsm radio ( from mobile shop that have touch dual spare part in MBK center , bangkok ,THAILAND .) it's cost 2500 bath .
S12HT can use only in japan with emobile simcard

i guess i will need to do the same. will try to find something in india, (though difficult.)

Which part did you replace exactly? Main board?
