Advice needed - US/Europe versions?

Hi, I´m looking into buying a HTC or the like on ebay for aorund $100

The HTC Touch is currently the most likely choice. My questions are:

Can all HTC Touch handsets be unlocked? If so, is it easy?
As the HTC Thouch is tri-band, shouldn´t all versions work in US and Europe?


I would like to get the HTC Diamond (better battery) but it seems that they are either with GSM 850 or GSM 900 version so I can´t as I live in Iceland. US versions would not work, correct?

As you could have read in the board rules, we expect some degree of commitment and self-investigation.
We are not a helpdesk where you can simply throw out questions, we expect your first attempt to investigate it yourself.
