How to make 480x800 look like 240x320 in internet explorer

help...i need a registry tweak for the following tweak
on my o2 xda mantle which has a 3.5 screen with 240x320 screen
all pages of internet explorer look spot on...
however on my htc touch hd which has a 3.8 screen with screen res of 480x800, the top cm of screen has "squashed smaller words"
the middle section of screen is spot on and the bottom cm is like the top cm.
i know its cos the 480x800 screen is "taller"
is there a reg tweak i can do in internet explorer to fool it into thinking the screen res is 240x340 ??????
(i just know theres a boffin out there that knows this is easy....I NEED YOU)

The problem you are having is the fact that the screen is a larger resolution. Why dont you zoom in using IE?

yes i know i have a different resolution...zooming in makes no difference.
thats why i want to "fool" IE into thinking its a different resolution.
it may not be possible but i feel a techno boffin would alter some settings somewhere in the registry....hopefully
