I have all the files that were on the device but i cannot copy them back because it wont connect to the computer.all i have left is the memory card but i dont know how to use it to bring the device back to the original state.
Please help.

I'm in the same situation.
And i think there are allot of people who are.
I have searched the internet for a solution and tried everything i have found for any magellan device a thousand times.
What we need to now is if there is possible to boot anything from sd-card like an xxxxAutoRun.inf or xxxxxx.exe.
Then it would be possible to launch a filemanager and replace the corrupted mgnshell.exe that is required to connect to usb. and from there it would not be a problem to recover the unit.

Or even better if Magellan could provide an flash uppdate that runs from sd-card

Maybe if someone that is good in writing in English could write to magellan for a solutions for the bricked 1400 series devices.
