HTC TOUCH PRO 2 and DD-WRT

Hi,

I recently purchased a Touch Pro 2 from T-Mobile. For the life of me I cannot get it to connect to my linksys router with DD-WRT firmware.

I have:

Disabled the SPI firewall.
Disabled wireless security.

My phone keeps telling me that it cannot connect to the router. It sees it fine, but cannot connect.

Meanwhile, I have a WII, XBOX360, and a laptop that connect to it with all security enabled without issue.

Any ideas for further troubleshooting would be appreciated. I don't know what else to try.

Mine works, once you adjust the wifi setting on the phone to 'best performance'.

I had the same issue with Asus WL-500G Premium V2 router flashed with DD-WRT and Freebox (router from operator Free in France).

The problem occured when the Wireless SSID Broadcast was disabled and I tried to manually setup the WiFi configuration. After that, whether the Wireless SSID Broadcast was enabled or disabled, the phone could not connect.

I reset the phone (hard reset), made sure that the Wireless SSID Broadcast was enabled, setup the WiFi connection and it worked!

Probably a bug in HTC touch Pro 2.

Have you ever thought about getting rid of the T-Mobile ROM?

I'm heavily considering getting a Touch Pro 2 from T-mobile soon for $349.

Was hoping to get any owners out there want to chime in how they're liking it vs their previous phone.

How's battery life?

How's the T-mobile 3G network & internet browsing?

Is it a fingerprint magnet? Do you use a cover/shield?

How "customizable" is your WinMo OS? What ROMs, Apps did you load it with?

How's GPS?

Pros/cons?
