This may be obvious to some of you (I hope so) but not to me: when I have my Vox connected via USB to my PC, can it use LAN Internet access ?

It's called Active Sync... :D
It does, but it's not a very good connection, some programs use it, some don't. You have to check it out!

yeah, we can connect all device (i have hermes, kaiser and vox) all connected to internet through Activesync..i use 4.5 now..:)

Does that mean that when my phone is connected to my PC via ActiveSync it will always use the LAN connection and not the dial-up connection of my telecom provider? For all programs?

yes. as long as your computer still connected to internet/wifi

Not all programs do this, so take care! Best is to check with radio disabled first.
