Loss of mobile internet

I just installed the MCR 2.1 ROM and everything was great. All of the sudden though I've lost my data connection and I can't get it back. I've tried rebooting the phone, taking out the SIM, etc....but nothing. I double checked my APN settings and everything is right for T-mobile NL....but still nothing. Is it maybe T-mobile or could it have to do with the ROM update? I did install the latest radio as well: 63.18.55.06EU_6.35.06.18

Any ideas?

For what it's worth, I tried having the phone find any mobile networks and then I selected my provider and now it works, but it takes some time to find the network now. Before it was immediate, so I'm not sure if it has to do with the new ROM or the new radio.
