Hi,
I have created a simple app by which you can add the games of your favourite teams (at the moment NBA and some European soccer league) directly to your calendar...
Please test and add comments!

I have added daylight savings time support, so 1 hour difference shoud be fixed! If this is not the case, please tell me! thx!

If you want to contribute and submit events (just send it to info@iCalendarFactory.com), please use the attached sample.txt!
Fields in the file:
1. Sport
2. League or series
3. Home team
4. Away or visitor team
5. Event start time (date format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS)
6. Event end time (date format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS)
7. Time zone name (or offset from GMT)

Hi, English Premier League will be added I think this weekend to the database, please try on Monday or Tuesday...
The program itself should work on any WM based PDA (at least I hope)

Yes, that's true! I had to limit the time frame because:
1. download the whole year generates lot of traffic and adds to much event (in case someone wants to delete: too much effort maybe), but you can still download the whole year schedule from the website (icalendarfactory.com)
2. schedules change sometime (not in NBA but in european soccer leagues), at the moment it is not solved to change the date of an already added event

I'm wondering... if it was actually October, and not September, would it have downloaded the entire month of october and not just the 3 entries?? Because I can certainly live with a months worth of scheduling, as long as it's the whole month....

The program doesn't add the next month, but today+30 day, so if you try it today, it will add until 13th Oct... (sorry, there are some limitations, I am working on to to solve)

I have added college football, but unfortunately available data is not so clear (there are many games with "to be announced" time... :( anyway, you can give it a try)

OMG.... This app is so handy for me you have no idea! I always had to go online and look it up my teams schedule or go and add this by hand, but this is just plain great! I have my team loaded up and now it's on my Outlook, TF3D/ S2U2 which is totally win for me! Thank you so much for this wonderful app!

thanks pippolia - couple of things - it works for the first 5 matches only (for a month) is this correct

secondly it downloads the time for the game to start at 11:00 to 13:00 im in toronto and the time the game would start would be 10:00 est and 15:00 Gmt

not sure what the problem is there

1. yes, I intentionally set to download only the first 5 match (or actually 1 month ahead of current date) because in case of errors users don't have to delete too many events manually. This will be extended to unlimited once the application is stable and I am sure that data is correct!
2. Yes, I have already noticed it. I downloaded the data as of GMT, but it seems it was acutally not GMT but GMT corrected by daylight savings time. I think I will correct this next week, but in the database, so you dont have to reinstall.

Everybody, please consider data and app as beta and dont organize your day based on this! Thanks!

Thank you for the answer. Again, I really enjoy the app and think it is a great idea because I manually went in and added football and basketball schedules for my college a few weeks before this app came out and was dreading having to do it for my EPL team! I look forward to future releases.

You could check iCalendarFactory.com for available schedules (and there you can download the full season for a team, not just the next month...).
Anyway, thankx for the comment! Unfortunately, I cannot check for 6.5 compatibility at the moment :(

After some searching, I found how to fix the problem. I had to open the .ics file with notepad and delete the line in the code that had the "Version: 2.0" or whatever it was. After I deleted that and re-saved the file, it loaded correctly in Outlook.

I can not remember, recently I was using version 1.0 because 1.2 is not wrong, gave me connection error. now I have two PPC both dismounted and I can prove I'm sorry.

Unfortunately, schedules are changed too often in the long run, and at the moment I cant find a way to synchronize with the server, so there would be too much inaccuracy... but working on it, maybe by the end of March...

hmm, I don't have a 6.5.3 image yet, isn't there an OK or close button in the upper right corner of the screen?

nope just checked. The Ok / Close button should be somewhere down the bottom on 6.5.3 but it is just the blue / grey colour.

interesting :) I will rewrite the app and put an image button, there are some other issues as well
