Dear friends, after cooking ROMs for sometimes now, I finally cooked the most stable ROM out of the kitchen. I installed and used it. It is fast and stable. Therefore, I decided to share it here for people who have the same taste as mine. :) Hope you will like it.

Note: The wallpaper in the screenshot does not come with the ROM. You will get HTC TouchFlo default wallpaper.


What does this ROM give you?

1. Just plain same experience you can expect with HTC Original ROM. That is the point. It hard to find a ROM without some cheesy customization here. You will get Windows Phone 6.5 build 21854 (the fastest and most stable build) and Touch Flo 3D v2 functions such as manila, Notification, Wifi, Contact Card, and etc..

2. About 60MB to 70MB Free Available on Device Storage (not Internal Storage), 69% Memory Used.

3. Microsoft Default Titanium UI is still there. If you ever get bored with TouchFlo 3D, you can always enable it.

4. Adobe Flash Installed

5. Voice Commander Installed (you can dial numbers by speaking out the digits.)

6. Optional support for Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese (very light weight cabs). Manila, Explorer, WMP, and other programs will display these languages correctly after you install the cabs.

I will take no responsibility for any damage to your device(s). Please research the forum for the flashing procedures. A HardSPL is definitely needed before installing this new ROM. Flash at your own risk.

1. Download, Unrar the file
2. Connect your device to computer with USB port
3. Allow connection to ActiveSync (XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista)
4. Run exe file.
5. Follow instruction on the screen to flash your device.
Note: Do not ever remove USB cable when device is flashing the ROM.

Very Light Weight Solutions. Note: Install to device, don't install to internal storage.

Some Notes

For those of you who often flash and reflash many different ROMs, sooner or later, you may encounter Diamond Hard Reset itself issue as people mention in the forum pin-pointed topic. This is nothing wrong with the cooked ROM. It is just because each cooked ROM has its own size. Some are bigger. Some are smaller. When you you flash a smaller ROM to a device with bigger ROM, there are left-over junk of the old ROM still in your device. For unknown reason, you may encounter that problem. But, don't be panic just yet.

It can be solved by "task 29" of MTTY. This task will format the ROM area, to make it clean before you install a new ROM. If you encounter the problem, it is the solution.

For advanced users: in fact, I recommend you doing that before installing any rom. Search the forum, you can learn how to do it. Very easy.

I won't be using your rom(probably), but thanks for this japanese font cab - I always had to copy and add registry manually (i don't know how to make a cab myself), and this cab helps avoiding this, nice job!

Thanks a lot Satus for making this. It's much more responsive than the HTC Rom, I love Manilla v2 and winmo6.5 is way better, It's even fixed a couple of bugs I was having. I love the wallpaper as well so I'll be stealing that. ;)

Thanks for this ROM, I completely agree with you. Customisations of the tasbar, 6.5 Start Menu icons, and absolutely anything in TouchFLO 3D are extremely irksome. :D

@speedy_peter: My device's buttons are working fine.

Don't know about your problem though. May be junk from the old rom still left over in your device??? Try the button configuration utility. ;) If not, try other ROM. But, if the problem still persists, use MTTY as I've mentioned in my note.

@GXFX: the rom is fast and stable now with tflo3d 2.
I will update to 2.1 after Microsoft officially announces the release of Windows Phone 6.5.

satus, the back button works in the explorer but it doesn't work with manila (it used to work with the old manila I guess) anyways I can live with that :D

By the way how do disable the vibarate when a button is touched(not the hardware button) like the phone keys(numbers) and when select on manila, thanks.

The Video Conference function is in the ROM. But, the ROM is using Taichi Dialer because I don't need video call. This dialer does not have button or support for video call.

You can install different HTC dialer like TOPAZ Dailer. This dailer has the button to switch to Video Call.

The Lock bug delay is Microsoft's fault. There is a solution but need your patience: Keep tapping, tapping, tapping the unlock button for about 2 minutes. Somehow, the button will be pressed down. If you see it is pressed down, everything will be fine. You can start to slide to the left or the right to unlock. :) I can't do anything until the bug free WM6.5 officially released. Sorry. Don't use Microsoft lock anymore. Any rom out there has this problem.

you need hardspl. Please read instruction carefully in page 1. Flashing without HardSPL will brick your phone.

Go to Setting -> Lock -> choose old style lock like 6.1 instead of the Windows Default for 6.5

Try to search for another Java Virtual Machine App, then install it. The Rom is currently using Java Blend.

a solution to the problem is to go to settings and enable the lock with simple pin. I have tried this with mine and seems to open the lock however the only problem is that there's that extra bit of delay in getting to the home screen because you have to enter your pin.

apart from that it all works okay and the rom seems pretty stable i would say the memory consumption on this rom could be improved.

I did as they posts suggested and moved the rom and NBH file to the system 32 directory. I got as far as the upgrading menus with 10 minutes to go, then it stopped and said it could not find the readme file. I search my whole hard drive and get nothing. Where do I find the readme file?

Not sure what your problem is. That could be different computer setup. The package you downloaded contained everything needed for the ROM upgrade.

If you have another spare desktop or laptop, try to upgrade from it, and see whether you still encounter this problem. Of course, you need ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center installed and properly paired with you Diamond. :)

1. Is Google Maps not installed or compatible? When I try to download it Google is telling me that this isn't compatible with my phone.

2. Is Facebook integration also not installed, do you plan this in later versions?

3. I'm a relative newby to flashing Windows Phones, can you give me a link to wipe the flash memory before installing a ROM using MTTY? I had a look on the MTTY thread but couldn't work out how to do it.

Been using this ROM for a week now, and still loving it.
I don't seem to be having any issues with lock screen or battery life.

My only issues/wishes... not sure if it's setting related or ROM related:
- When browsing with opera or listening to music with windows media, the screen turns off after a while and when i press a button to wake it, it returns to home screen instead of the app i have open (when i'm using opera, it usually shuts down opera on me).
- Same for when the screen turns off during a call, if i need the keypad, the screen doesn't wake up when i pull it away from my ear, and when i press a button to wake it up, it returns to home screen.
- Mem use is a bit high, ~75% on boot, 82% after i get a couple emails, and surf a bit...
- Too much default programs installed... any chance of a 'clean' version of the ROM without all of the MSN garbage, RSShub, mp3 trimmer? :D

Thanks for this, I was able to download Google Maps by using IE instead of Opera...still cant see the Facebook integration, but I downloaded the FB ap instead which is just as good.

I really like the look of your ROM, but I am finding it a little unstable, especially when using Opera....I'm not sure if this is RAM issue.

Is it just me or is the HSDPA connection being established at random times?

I set an alert sound for the "Connection established" notification and it keeps popping at random times even when I'm not using the phone!

Is there a certain program using the connection for push messages?

I'm certain it is neither the mail nor the weather

I have push pages disabled (although I have Google as the first push page with the schedule frequency: Never)

Can somebody shed some light on this issue? I'll try removing Google from the push pages and seeing what happens..

this means that once you've downloaded it and installed it, it will integrate with the windows contact system correctly. The rom has the integration scripts installed but not the app itself.

go to google and search for "windows mobile facebook" and download the app from microsoft.

Still using this rom, solid as a rock. On the down side I think I discovered some problems: copy/cut/past of files do not work in file manager. I tap on a file select copy or cut then I go to another location but paste is not in the menu. There is memory leak related with the music player of touch flo. At boot I see %69 ram in use. Than when I go to the music player the memory usage goes to %82.:eek: Hibernate does not clean this leak. Is there any work around that you know?

Also do you plan to release another version of this ROM with the stable release of WM 6.5? If so, I'll definitely install it!:D

I finally made up my mind to dump the stock ROM in my Diamond, and I am glad that I found your ROM. I've tried couple of others, but yours fit my need very well and it's very stable. I am using it daily.

I got the TomTom and the Kuma's Chinese support (sorry your Chinese support cab file was not that good for my need) and other applications revived from the internal storage and they all works fine, amazing...

Any plan on getting the flo3d V2.1, i like the colored task icons, i would probably try some other radio ROM, I heard 1.00.25.05 works very good, have anyone tried that? My radio is still the stock one 1.00.25.08, I got dropped call all the time when the signal strength is like 2 bars, i hope to switch to some radio rom that can give me better connection. ( i don't care that much about 3G), will a better radio help for weak signal?

this ROM is great but I experienced some inconsistence with menus. Somewhere the menus are shown like classic ones and in other apps like in "TouchFlo" style. Even when TouchFlo is not used.

sorry, but my diamond didnt work very good with your rom, it hard reseted twice. Very scary. the manila 2.0 gets very slow and then when doing soft reset it cannot boot.:confused:

This is a fantastic ROM. I was looking for a 'Standard' WM6.5 ROM for my Diamond and this does the job!

The only problem I am getting is that TF3D keeps restarting itself every couple of seconds. I have been googling to try and find a solution but I can't find anything to help...I'm having to turn off TF3D at the moment!

Can anyone help me fix this?

Mmm that's strange. TF3D seems to work completely fine while I have no contacts, then when I sync it with my Mac it freezes...maybe one of my contacts is freezing TF3D!

EDIT2:

Right this seems to be fixed now. I deleted all my contact pictures and tried again and it all works. It must not have liked the size of the contact pics or something?!?

I Downloaded the rom and installed it, But imidiately it crashed so i did an softreset and it started working. Then i did an hard reset and now my phone does not go further then the first screen on start up ? :S:S
It seemed like a good rom but is my phone wrecked ?

I downloaded and tried this chinese support .cab file while ago, it didn't fit my need, I used the one from kumastudio that I installed on my original diamond, after flashed to this ROM, the same chinese support works great with wm6.5. If you are using traditional chinese, you can try this.

only niggle is free ram about 22mb after doing pretty much anything with the phone, so IGO wont run unless i use clean ram before starting.

the rom when at first startup consumes 69% but after some uses like comm manager, it uses almost the RAM :| i have only 3~8% for others :| is this a bug ? what can i do ? sorry for my Eng :( i love your rom because it keep the original status bar and least modding :D

It's cool rom for now, and I did try a lot of others.
Big problem for me "for now" is world clock. Menu doesn't work form me, so I can't remove city.
I believe that this is problem with resolution also in setting up date.

But who am I to complain.....

Sorry I dont know. Maybe you should try it with Winrar? I got no problems with unpacking the .rar!

Another question. Is it possible to use another entering method if you are writing sms? I prefere the keypad-method, but you can't choose it from the list. Can I install several languages, like german?

Main bugs found in this rom:
1. mem usage is too high. at startup its normal but then 77% 86%
2. cant edit year in calendar, it shows only increasing icon decreasing icon is beyond the screen.
3. in settings all settings goes to connection settings.
4. screen lock (known bug but i cant find solution)
5. after installing rom when customization starts it hangs on "pureblack.tsk" and you have to soft reset phone.
6. scrolling is not working if even enabled from advanced config

I think with these annoying bugs fixed its best rom

Hi All,
I already install Hard-SPL on my Diamond-100. But whenever I tried to update the ROM and Radio ROM I got to the three color screen and then the gray screen with 0% sitting there until it timed out and failed. The phone then started up OK without 3 color screen.

What should I do?

U have dont a great job. I recently have been using this ROM n quite impressed. Can u introduce a much lighter version of d same with absolutely no pre-installed software except the default one's. Do u have any knowledge of how can i change the taskbar to d default one (i.e. with white buttons) and make the icons smaller (coz i hate d default 3 column icons).

Hi, I´ve been using this ROM for a few weeks - looks really good and effective for Diamond. I only have a problem when locking the device - the touch screen doesn´t work when locked so I am not able to unlock.

Is anyone able to advice?

hi, all you need to do is tap the bottom screen for a few seconds and the lock should work :) its a microsoft bug.

Hi Sato, thank you for this rom it is awesome.
Is it possible for you to create a similar one but based on wm 6.5.3 or wm 6.5.5 versions.
They are more touch friendly that the standard 6.5. Also is it possible for you to make this rom without the touchflo3d inside, just with the titanium ?
