[IDEA] Front Camera as Proximity Sensor

Would it be difficult to use the front camera as a proximity sensor during calls only?

When "phone" is launched, if the front camera is blacked out, the screen will turn off.

Hey There,

Thats allready build in in my HTc touch pro 2.
When you receive a call, and you put it to your ear, the screen fades out.:)
Very handy.

Yes, because your TP2 has a proximity sensor.. and the TD2 doesn't have one ;)
