Alright fine folks at XDA-DEV!!! I have an odd situation here. I have a Tilt. About 8 months ago the 3G radio died. So I just switched to the Edge radio. I would ocassionally get bored and try it out just for laughs, but the radio was ALWAYS completely useless. Then about 2 months ago my touch screen stopped accepting inputs. So I stopped using my Tilt and went back to my old Crackberry 8300.
Well I accidentally left my Tilt in a bag in the back of my car. It was out of direct sunlight, but we had about 2-3 weeks straight here with high humidity 90-105 degree days. Well I found my Tilt just this Sunday afternoon, and figured what the heck I'll boot it up and see if it even has a charge left. To my surprise the touchscreen works better than it ever had before. And since that was working I decided to try the 3G radio which I had read on here is basically a warranty repair or mainboard swap required fix. Well the 3G radio has been working perfectly for going on 48 hours now.
I'm just curious could the repeated heating and cooling in my car have caused components to warp just enough to "fix" the issues? I don't know how heat sensitive this kind of hardware is. So any ideas?
