Anybody who can shed light on this version? We have 23009, 23016/17, & 23047. Although, based on experience & knowledge from ROM guru's, the latest may not necessarily reflect the newest or the best! Who knows 23001 may not be an RTM but the release version???

It's probably WWE. The post only mentioned "adding" Thai language & Thai regional settings. The screen shots also reflects English menus! But, I'm just second guessing.

Can a Thai forumer here please translate the kaew1995 release notes?

Yeah I am still bitter at them for overwriting my Rogers splash screen a long time ago. I had to search for a long time before I got the splash screen re-flashed, so that I could maintain my warranty. They still haven't learned. Are their ROMs still slow?

They are. I'll find a better splash screen somewhere but it's well annoying!

Not Bad, not bad at all....feels HTCish

Notable bugs:

* Connection Wizard is not current, hence I can't find my provider.
* Calendar is not in english, so there are characters in the date field.

Both Splash screens are too "PDAMobiz" they try too hard.

First time boot is long as F*&k, after customization, it's not bad at all.

Edit: Lacks Keyboards, also the ROM is so heavy cause it seems to have all the Chinese Support/Language packs.

I dont know if u have already flash a new 1st splash to get rid of the "crappy flower one", but here I attached the htc smart mobility black splash screen if u like.

Also I made a cab for the 2nd and 3rd splash screens.... I took the Splash Screens from Pdaviet Rom, the ones that are like the windows 7 bootscreen (the color dots that make the win symbol). This Cab works perfect with the Onyx 5 roms and some others.

I use my PC at work for these flashes, I use a Macbook at home :-(.....so no, no 1st boot screet swap. I have the "HTC TOUCH" 1st boot screen.

In case people don't know, to aply this (great) 1st smart mobility splash screen, you can rename the file to RUU_signed.nbh and install it with CustomRUU.exe from any rom.

Probably to make amends, kaew1995 installed the facebook files in the directory "dsixda" under Program Files. :D

Considering the Thai customizations, CHome & Manila 2D v2.0 the ROM's speed is acceptable. It's not solid & stable though, the ROM froze in one M2D customization, blackberry services intermittent problems, & an uncalled for hard reset after uninstalling Memmaid & Blackberry connect.

There is still no decent bug free Chome-Manila 2D combo cooked in the ROM for Elf(in) at the moment. :(

LOL! That's because I made the CAB file way back when Conflipper released the OEM for it. That's a VERY OLD version of Facebook and is not as stable as the version Microsoft has now. I had problems with it.

:D Dropped the ROM after testing for an hour or two becasue it's unstable. The only good thing in it (imho) is the cooked Manila 2D v2.0.

Is there any WM 6.5 ROM for Elfin with M2D 2.0? I hate the default Zune-like home screen that comes standard with WM 6.5. It borders on unusable, unlike the super-intuitive M2D.

Thank you *so much*!!!! I had been looking for a 1st screen replacement ever since I installed the Touch Essential ROM months ago. I need to sell my phone in the coming weeks and I was very worried about replacing the screen...

I am using random splashscreen, which switches splashscreen everytime i start up. Or i can also define any picture to be used as splashscreen. Works very well also with the latest builds of WM 6.5

If I may be allowed to feedback, you may want to remove the Thai customizations to make the ROM lighter. You can also integrate any of the finger-friendly keyboard floating around, this one doesn't allow keyboard switching.

Keep the Manila 2D & Chome, this is the only ROM here with a cooked version 2.0! :cool:

The HTC EZ Input from the Mega works REAL NICE, no bugs...

And yes, the Thai Customization takes a toll...

All in all, great job.

Also, one last thing, the HTC Notification Management from the MEGA works well with this WM 6.5

After It froze on bootup screen & a hard reset, I got this funny problem of unable to make any keyboard work including EZInput not to mention WiFi problem. I guess I had a bad hard reset. I should have reflashed!

Let's see how how the promised WWE ROM works out.

It should work. But, even for Elfin it's quite heavy besides having some minor bugs. Wait for the Thai-less ROM. In the meantime, try the "Lite" ROM's in the forum.

hahahh PDAmobiz???? yes that's the name! hate that splash they made :mad: they want popularity? want to spreed their names on our ROM's? they can write it in the ExtRom name other than that splash damn screen popping like gay :mad:
