how can i install office in this build in as it really important as most of my documents are now not excessable. I find this ROM as the best till now and i dont want to change the same just because of office. Can you please provide a cab file of mobile Office.

Hey Hi,

- I believe you can use Advanced Config tool to edit the file type associations with the applications.
- All you need to do is change the name of exe associated with whatever video extensions you want. E.g. if for .3gp default player is \Windows\HTCVideoplayer.exe then change it to \Windows\WMPlayer.exe

hey! the rom is working excellent! just don't forget to fix the associations of the videos with the Wmplayer, i know i can fix them with the advance configuration but will be better if the rom comes with the fix!

oh and another thing, sometimes when changing a picture you see a pic in the back, not the black one, another one, please fix it to!

2.- tap an hold a picture in the manila's pictures tab, you will see how the background change! i think i have seen that background in the manila GFX, don't really know how it is called!

and i found another bug, when you are typing the recipient in a msg, it will show you 2 options for entering the same recipient. when you tap the upper one, the recipient is entered correctly, but if you tap the other one, you will not be able to erase the recipient and if you try to delete it , the phone will hang!!!

well that's what i have found till now, oh and by the way, i don't know how to use that picassa app, and i would prefer you to make it as a cab, so we can unistall it if we want to!!!

I really like this ROM, fast and more stable only clock delay. It is seem to fit with my daily use.:)

- Let me check the png files I change for new theme. Probably some png is wrongly picked up and has overwritten the original png.

Great suggestion. In fact, the new rom on first boot doesnot load m2d. It starts in Titanium window deault only. Thanks anyway.
But, in reality, what I requested is a rom lighter (clean) without the M2D so that I could install my own combination of M2D version and a customised interface suiting my needs. My request still stands.

Having used for almost 12 hrs. it is run perfectly. :D However can not create new SMS, nor reply from Menu list or from create message icon on today screen Messages. Have to open All Messages/Menu/New or Reply/Forward. I can live with it (for quite a while!).

Yes it is from M2D Messages tab. However it (tab from "icons") works from Outlook E-mail.

The new manila with flipping clock and weather on home screen is quite heavy in terms of memory and also eats a lot of battery as compared to the one used by me. I have released the ROMs with it previously. However they were not so good in terms of memory and battery life.

- Its good that our observations match and you seem to agree with me.
- Many of the members here has requested to provide a lite ROM which they can customise as per their needs.

- Also after using this ROM for 2 days, it seems to me that it is better to have phone canvas enhancement over the WM 6.5 lockscreen. This is because WM 6.5 eats more memory than phone canvas enhancement.

Hi CS , For testing purposes, I installed Corecodec CorePlayer and now from within that player, youtube is fully functional. again for testing I installed the youtube player(which I mentione earler) over again retaining the coreplayer. No, youtube palyer doesnot stream. I removed it and am happy with coreplayer now for youtube playback.
By the way, let this small technicality not take away the credit for the good work you have done. After loading latest m2d and all the goodies I use, still your new lite rom is as fast as the best available, the m2d version I use is quite heavy with full homepage weather and 2 page weather display, action tab and all that is possible-(HTC 2DManila 2.0.19191432.04.Patched MegaNightABM )- The only feature I missed was sdconfig txt for customisation. Anyway manual installation was still possible.

From my experience, if the sdconfig customisation is done without inserting the sim card, the conflict with connection setup doesnot occur. FYI, the memory usage (M2d) at start is around 35% - peak being around 43%. so far, everything is working without any hassle.

- Did you do restore from PPCPIMBackup? If yes, I had seen such an issue a couple of times.
- Restoring the backup once again by clicking the file in file explorer followed by a soft reset solved that issue for me.

Could you please try this if possible? I also suggest you to back up current your PIM before trying this.

- As of now I do not have any idea regarding the issue which you are seeing.
- Personally I am using this ROM for past 10 days and have not seen such an issue. I am always able to read all the sms in my Inbox.

Could you please check if you have installed any cab which can cause this?

- I use HSPL over USPL. It is more safe.
- With that it takes approx ~15 mins to upgrade any ROM. Having said that, did you use sd-card flashing method?

- Is it for FULL or LITE ROM?
- I believe you can enable screen rotation from Advance Config utility.
NOTE: As a known fact, screen rotation does not work well with M2D, I guess.

There is a dedicated thread for Android on Elf/Elfin. Please refer it for more details. As far as I know, Android can be booted on Elfin/Elf with limited functionality. Last time I checked it was missing support for audio.

Thanks for your feedback. Its a known fact that Elf/Elfin are not designed for WM 6.5. Also M2D 2.0 eats battery as compared to default Windows home screen.
I suggest you to check the battery callibration thread for details on maximum battery efficiency :).

Please search this forum for the themes of your choice. There are many of them that are available. Just ensure that the themes are for WM 6.5. This is because, the theme files have changed from WM 6.1 to WM 6.5. So themes of WM 6.1 may not work properly with WM 6.5. :).

I deliberately did not upload the new ROM. I am working on getting my ROMs UC 2.0 compliant. With that all of your applications that you install manually after the 1st boot can be controlled by sdconfig.txt file at the root of your SD card & it will be automated.

Hi,
this ROM (lite) is one of best I ever used - clean and fast. But it has one unpleasant bug: there is probably incomplete or damaged GPSID driver package inside - some registry settings are missing, driver library itself as well.
Without this, it's impossible to use external GPS reciever...will you try to fix it soon ?

Hi, i've been on the FULL ROM for the past 2-3 days and must say that this is an excellent ROM. Great work Chota Shivaji. Quite fast and good.

There is one problem with messages though. At times when i click on a message (either text or email) then it gives the ok button but the screen does not change so the message is not opened. After a couple of tries when it does open then the "menu" item is greyed out so you can't reply/forward or delete. Is anyone else facing the problem?

1. I have removed the SYS components but have kept the folder hierarchy as is.
2. Also I have shared my EXT packages as is.

Hi All,

As you might have guessed, I am not providing ROM updates since past 6 months. The reason being, my HTC touch is no longer flashable. Current flashed ROM works good on it but I am not able to flash it with new ones. I am guessing that its NAND flash gone bad. Also I am not seeing much updates on WM 6.5 from MS.

Having said that, I will not be supporting this ROM anymore. All my ROMs and kitchen is shared. So enthusiast can use it as per their will.
