I have been searching for almost 3 weeks for the solution to this problem. Maybe I'm not typing in the right keywords to find users with the same trouble.

The problem:
I would like to send short audio clips in mp3 format as a mms attachment. However cyanogen 4.0.4 will only allow me to send an ogg file, titled "dream theme", as my only option to select.

Device:
Black Tmobile G1, rooted with cyanogen 4.0.4
2 GB SDCard with fat32, ext3, and linux-swap
I flashed Cyanogen 4.0.4 after a complete wipe of all data
I did download and install rgv151's mms.apk to see if it would produce the solution, but it produced the same issue as well.

Before I rooted my G1/Dream, I was able to send short mp3 clips as mms attachments. I thought cyanogen would allow the same. I love the cyanogen rom. I'm just wondering if there is anyway I can remedy this issue. Not all of my friends and family have data plans to check emails on their phone, or computers at home to check emails. So I was kind of looking for a way around those both by sending them mms clips of music I make for my nonprofit orginization. If there is no solution to this issue, then I have no choice but to accept that. I won't love the rom any less. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I tried to hold out for as long as possible. I didn't know where else to go or whom to ask about this. I found the xda site while researching how to root my G1. Thank you for your time and your informative website.
