Hi,this rom is functioning good.
Though one problem i find is, there is no task manager included in the rom.
Other than this is a very base rom no sip included, no phone canvas, etc.

I like this rom, for a new version just include htc taskmanager and microsoft's task manager.

I've installed the old EZInput, I like it more than the new version. It's strange...in other ROM's the Input settings appears even with default keyboard only.:confused:

users like me (ELF) are happy when those are removed, but I do understand that other users might want those , so the best approach in my opinion would be to ask the guy who builds them to provide 2 versions if possible :)

I really like this rom, clean and fast.

It may sound silly to you, but:
Does it make sense, for elf users, to change the page pool to 4 MB to gain space for running programs?
When switching from 8 MB to 4 MB, I go from 15.35 MB free to 19.15 MB free (just after a soft reset for both pp).

Those apps can be intalled by cabs...It isn't difficult...I like the clean Roms because you can adapt it to your preferences...

Alarm does not work properly, e.g. if I set alarm to 6:50 am, the alarm sounds at 7:50 am, also when I dismiss the alarm, the phone hangs. I have to reboot the phone to make it working.

See that this ROM changed COM port to 4, insted 3... data cable won't work anymore (at least with me). Just plug data cable, connect to a bluetooth sync and then you will be able to flesh it again.

If active sync is broken, flash your elf from the SD card.

I always do this because it's faster and not depending on a running windows mobile...

1. turn down the phone
2. take your sd and sim card out of the elf
3. copy a rom file (the .nhb file) to the root of the SD card and name it "ELF0IMG.nbh" exactly.
4. now insert the sd card back in the phone.
5. while holding the camera button, insert the mini usb cable, wait for a while a white screen will ask you if you want to flash the new image..

just wait and see the speed :)

Love your rom build 23060 cleaned qith the new contacts... Its the best of all the beta builds... has powerpoint (hate to install from cab cause menu doesnt work) and has small font in the bar :) ... the only thing I miss is the Iolite album (htc album) but im gonna figure how to make it the default album to have it start from the titanium wm menu and from the icon on the camera screen.

I see a white screen for a second and it says searching for SD card but then it goes to tricolor bootloader...

any ideas?

I am using Build 23060 in my Elfin. I must say it is a fast and lite rom. But have you ever experience stuck during the reminder. I use calendar frequently. It displays a reminder whenever a event occurs. But when I press the reminder soft button on the screen --> it stucks, so I have to soft reset. Or sometimes it displays a "No wifi a/v" in the time and date section of Home desktop, pretty annoying!

Any idea to solve such problems?

For months I was a pleased user of Onyx WinMo 6.5 versions. Then I was sorry hearing that Onyx builds will not go further.

The last weeks I experimented a bit with the newest builds. Disappointment was big seeing that all the builds are full of errors and - much more important for me - are useless for Elf users: program memory falls under 15mb level and an old problem of Windows mobile seemed to rise from the dead: the memory leak.

Then I tested this new 23060 build by mannmannmann with cleaned sys, 23420 contacts and quite a surprise: no memory leak, no errors (except for the above mentioned - I do not use the reminder feature, so no problem for me).
And:
I get a total free program memory of nearly 20mb - with some changes in the configuration.

Here are some hints:
For me I do not need all the stuff in the startup folder of windows (starting poutlook before using it? Not necessary. Voice command? Never used it). The only link I left there is the WiFi Initializating the others were deleted.

Then some modifications with advanced Configuration tool (I do not know the reguarding registry tweaks):
1. HTC Touch Flow: Disable Cube. Only waste of memory.
2. HTC Task Manager: Enable auto kill. Otherwise application do only sleep and block the memory.
3. Security warning disabled. Disables the ugly security warning.

With these changes I have a fast and stable system with sufficient memory.

A wish for future versions:
a) uc feature - manually installation lasts too long
b) Titanium plugins atcontacts and Showaco Weather preinstalled
c) the above mentioned registry tweaks.
d) Give this build a nice name - posting a threat with "23060 build" makes it difficult to differ from all the other builds.
e) Place a date in your threat name or the actual version number.

Hi... Im having a SMS problem... everytime I try to compose a sms message it gets stuck. The problem is that when im writing the name in the "To" space, the SMS suggest names as also my Ezinput 1.5 making the stuck problem.

hi this is a strange problem in eZInput.

I have reformatted (clear memory) my elfin for the 4th time now trying to figure out what went wrong why my WiFi won't turn on ..

1st test was to install the first apps that I need
-- tested the WiFi and it's working properly
-- then install all my applications in my StorageCard (including ezInput)
-- after that, WiFi is not working so I have thought of isolating the problem.

2nd test was to install the first apps that I need again
-- tested the WiFi and it's working properly
-- installed eZInput, rebooted to install the eZInputSelector
-- tested the WiFi .. and it's now working
-- wondered ??

3rd test was to install the first apps that i need agaaain
-- tested the WiFi and it's working properly,
-- rebooted, test the WiFi again .. turning it off and on and it's working.
-- checked the Connection control panel, WiFi icon is there..
-- installed eZInput, rebooted, tested the WiFi, and now it's not working!!

Except for one crucial thing. Can only use the standard sip keyboard. Can't use EZinput 1.5 or any other software keyboard. When selecting another keyboard, it only shows the standard keyboard. Maybe it can use EZinput 2.x but that versions doesnt have swedish language so we swedes can't use it.

Please include input settings in control panel.

But there is no china regional settings and connection setup, which is always included in new cooked roms.
How can it vibrate when call connect? Which is a good issue.

Hi, I cant make EZinput 1.5 to work... it installs and let me choose from its 3 different layout modes, but none of those writes what I type...
Now with the EZinput 2.1 it only appears the full input (that works great), but I like better the phone keypad. So I tried to install the Ezinput Selection but it didnt work. Everytime i tried to open it an error message pops up.

Do anybody its having that problem?? Could someone tells me how to make any of those two versions to work correct?

2) I could not install obexinbox so I can receive files only to my device's memory, not to storage card(
3) IMHO it would be great to see working htc x-button in this ROM (all the more I found it's files in Windows folder) because tapping on x button do not want to close the program(
