http://img686.imageshack.us/img686/2843/customizec.png
Customizing
I have customized the ROM as less as possible to gain the best performance I could. So it is your decision to customize it or no.
Anyway I like dwizzy130's (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=691493) work about WM 6.5.1 Tray Button Skins which can be found at here (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=81899).
You can also use two great themes provided by amarullz (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=402300) in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=559695). These two themes are for VGA devices and you can use these two (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4543189&postcount=61)cab files instead that are converted to QVGA by ryomahino (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=599135).
If you want to install M2D v2.0 on these ROMs, you can use the experience and guides of dear iandy1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=1376278) in the Post #241 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4859587&postcount=241) and Post #251 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4873368&postcount=251).
For more customization you can visit WMSkins Gallery (http://www.wmskins.com/index.php?cat=0) website.
Best Regards.

Tools And Fixes
I will add the tools that users have requested here to make it easier to find them.
You can find more tools in Some useful cabs for wizard win 6.5 and 6.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=564423) thread by Salooo.
Please notice: Uninstalling "InternetSharing" is impossible after installation and it reduces your free memory. Please also notice installing the right package on your device.
Note: I'm not able to add more than eight attachment to this post. So I decided to provide them in links on another server to be able to provide more packages.
ActiveSync: This pack only is useful for the version 6.5.1.1 and 6.5.0.1. The other releases already contain it. You can download it here (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?fzfmojmjnzm). This is actually the shortcut to ActiveSync. The ActiveSync exists in the releases.
ArcSoft MMS Composer v5.0: Use this package if you need to send and receive MMS messages. You can download it from this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=365783) or more specifically this attachment (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=88058&d=1211735066).
Camera Close Button Fix: In some versions the Camera can not be closed easily. You can fix this issue by installing this (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?zjx1ljgzd3w) patch. I'm adding this patch to new release so you do not need to install it on new releases.
Internet Connection Sharing: This pack only is useful for the version 6.5.1.1 and 6.5.0.1. The other releases already contain it. You can download them from these two links 6.5.1.1 (build 23053) (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mngyimgzzzj) and 6.5.0.1 (build 21859) (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ndhmynno2mn).
MediaSupport V2 (Codecs for WMP): If you can not play some types of files, this is because you are using a Clean ROM. But it does not mean that you are not able to play them at all. You can install Mi_MediaSupportv2.CAB (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=42986&d=1183610185) file shared by new2city (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=321453) to do this.
Outlook Fix: You might encounter the problem when displaying email from the Exchange server, the mail application does not display the "FROM" email address and it only shows the subject. To fix this problem you can install Outlook Fix (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?50c3znogwum) package.
psShutXP: I added Slide2ShutDown to the version 6.5.0.2 and I think some devices might not be able to be turned off by that application. So I added psShutXP here (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?b0mmhkloogv) if anyone wants to replace it.
MicAGCPatch: This patch helps you to fix the problem of Microphone setting instability after soft-resets. You can get the patch from this link (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?wgafgna5hi5). This patch can be installed on any ROM to fix the problem.
ClearTypeEnable On LandScape: You may have noticed your device has not ClearType enabled in LandScape mode. If you want to have this function, then you can download it from here (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?zymxmhn3znz). This problem will be fixed in future releases.
Windows Live: The title is self explanatory enough. You can download it from here (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?3qexrnzodwi).

I would be glad if you post your experience after using this ROM.
But please remember that this ROM is provided because of the helps and supports of Haseeb and Cracing, So never try to compare ;) because their ROMs are great.
As soon as I get access to a unlimited connection (soon), I will release a Clean ROM based on that too.

1. i seems to have problem closing few apps. for example camera, when i click the red close, it doesnt do anything. and in some apps it seems to have alignment issue on the top right bottom area. is there anything i should install? and the shortcut to touchflo in the system settings might be broken cos it didnt do anything
2. somehow i couldnt use wizard service tool with this rom. any thoughts?
other than that, its a good clean rom. Thanks !

Thanks for using this ROM, and for sharing your experience.
1. You should tap and hold Camera's red close to make it happen.
Test to see if Screen Alignment can fix your problem in the alignment issue.
Yeah, you are right. I will fix that touchflo shortcut problem in next releases.
2. I will test and let you know.
Thanks, hope you enjoy.

Do you have the same alignment issue with other ROMs too ?
I tested the Camera close button right now, by pressing and holding the red X button in the corner and could close it with no problem.
I made a mistake about the free storage. You are right the free storage space is around 42MB. I forgot I had installed many softwares, so the amount of storage I have reported is due to this. Sorry for that.
I'll edit my first post though.

To use Wizard Service Tool, you should click on "Enab. RAPI + Unsigned Apps" button after you connected your device and got ActiveSync connected too. You need to do this after you have reflashed or hard resetted your device.
Anyway if the problem persists after doing this try to get help from Wizard Service Tool (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=329170) thread.
As soon as I find out the solution to your problem with closing the Camera, I'll let you know. Do you have these problems with other ROMs too ? Or these are issues only with this ROM ?

Anyway, you can download the OEM from Cracing's CRBuilder kitchen (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=495885) thread or XDA2_Haseeb's How to cook for HTC Wizard (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501941). Thanks for your time and effort.
Your ROM is fast and stable. Startup is less then 40 seconds.
Memory free after soft reset 27.84 MB.
Do not have any problems closing applications or the camera.
Calls can be made and received OK.
The only problem so far is for setting up the data connection to be able to
connect to the internet. May need Connection Setup and Connection
Database or some way to setup the connection manually.
Edit: Find out how to setup internet connection manually, working OK.
Thanks.

Yes, that was what I needed to setup the internet connection + some carrier
parameters. It is working OK, already setup 2 e-mail accounts and receive
e-mail to my wizard. Still having the "cannot download blank" error opening
Internet Explorer, but after that it keeps working and finish in my custom
Home page.
Thanks again.
Happy that could help you.

Hi,
thanks for your answers.
If you have not an active data connection, then the "Data Connection" button in Comm Manager will be disabled.
To setup a connection go to Start > Settings > Connections > Connections.
I didn't test your new rom, I'm at work and the company proxy don't let me download a protected archive..
Well, if you read my previous message, I said I created manually my connections (MMS and GPRS). I create 2 profile for this.
in network management, the 2 fields use the GPRS connection.
If I launch a program like Internet explorer, it successfully connect to internet. so the connection work.
But when I start the mobile phone, the "comm manager" don't let me enable the "data connection" line.. and other roms did. why?
are you isng the latest "comm manager" version?
In all cases, i'm using your rom for 2 days. it works great!
the only problem i had, is when i locked the screen too often... I wasn't able to unlock it... a window problem..
just a question to finish. you said you rom was wm6.5.1 is it possible to report this version number on the boot screen (when I see ISPL)

Yeah, you are right, the Comm Manager is not able to enable the Data Connection. I'll update the Comm Manager to the latest version in next releases. I hope that fix the problem.

I think that's a build problem and out of my hand.

This is an string in one of the files and it is not important. Yes, that's possible, and maybe in next releases I modify it too.

thanks for your very quick answer.
I tested an other WM6.5 cooked rom before yours. I had so many bugs and problems.
Yours is almost perfect, and I can use it with one finger (at the first time I was surprised... to have so big items... my wizard is very fast and I won't change to an other model)
very good work.

Have been using your ROM for 2 days, no other problems so far.
The memory drain is minimal, have not installed any memory cleaning
program yet, and still don't need to. The ROM is fast even without
overclocking. CommManager grey out the active data connection,as was
commented a few post back.
Just a humble comment; for a next release, It may be possible to not include
Office in the ROM? We can install a cab version of Office on Memory card
and free even more program RAM.
Thanks.

Thanks for testing and reporting.
Office won't take program memory, so removing office will not affect it.
All that will be free is storage memory, which is not so much of importance.

Please look at Post #7 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4599549&postcount=7) in this thread.
Please read the notice in that post before installing anything on your device. The reason that I have removed these kind of things is to gain more free memory and more performance. But if you need them you can download and install them.
Thanks.
Dears, I also cooked a new ROM based on the build 23420, but there are lots of GUI problems. The OS is really fast and the GUI is like 23053 (New GUI). As soon as the problem got solved, I will provide you the latest release.

No, that's not problem.
Your devices wanted to connect to the Internet via your PC connection.
You can change this behavior by modifying ActiveSync Connection Settings on your PC.

i've updated my wizard successfully and now in wm6.5! cool!
i noticed a few things;
-not that it's needed, the clear type checkbox is disabled
-there's an item for touchFlo under configuration but it does nothing
-the first time i left it charging (via a wall charger) it hanged with some pink/violet colors left on screen and needed to cold reset the device. I can't replicate this again though.
-i like the synchronization with exchange server; no more manual installation of certificates! great!
-i also get the cannot download blank error on IEM
I've got an off-topic question. Just trying my luck if there's an answer from here; is there a way to somehow increase the resolution of the wizard in wm65? i have a samsung i780 and a utility called truevga allows it to perform at 96dpi and makes it look like running on hi-res :) sorry for the off-topic question

Hi,
Thanks for using this ROM and reporting the errors you got.
- Checked the ClearType. The ClearType checkbox can be enabled by taping on it. If anyone has encountered this problem, please report it.
- You are right about TouchFlo item. This is already fixed in 21859 and will be fixed in future releases.
-I have no information about this problem.
-Sorry, But I did not get what you said.
- Yes, I'm aware of this problem and I have not found any fix to this problem yet. This problem is also preventing me from uploading cooked ROM based on 23060.

well so far so good, it is fast but here's what i noticed
Before i say anything bad cuz i know i have a few issues :(((((((((
I HAVE TO ADDMIT IM SURPRISED BY HOW FAST THIS ROM IS
didn't think it would be possible for wizard, i noticed it while i was adjusting the time on welcome screen after the align screen! i couldn't belive how fast those numbers were turning, and it's like that everywhere. Very nice work.
1) no mms :( lol but it's ok i installed it via cab
2) Time zone check box wont enable in phone options so i can't retrive my time and zone settings from my provider (enabled in advanced config) but wont come up no matter what i do ( had similar problem with Wizflo rom)
3) cleartype but that can be enabled.
4) for some reason it takes a while after reboot or turning radio on/off for E icon to show up in taskbar, tried a few different radios but same thing.
5) HTC Album is older version but still works out ( havent tried with M2D yet but we'll do at later date)
6) OK/X button so hard to work, Cracing had a cab called TouchFlo Scroll which is actually on Haseebs FAQ which solved the problem, i remember he had a rom with a similar issue.

Hi,
Thanks for using this ROM.
Sorry if you find some features missing and you can not find some settings easily. This is because I've put all my efforts to keep it clean and of course fast.
I'll update the HTC Album to the latest version (Thanks Cracing for the information). The TouchFlo is not needed if you are using New GUI builds (eg. 23053), but I'll fix it in future releases in Old GUI builds.
Thanks again.

oh no it's fine, it was just the ok/x button on the top right in the older gui but the cab i had fixed it with no problems, everything is fine,
The only thing that is important to me and mainly because most of our wizards have bad backup batteries by now :) lol so if the battery is taken out or something it resets the time zone, so is there a way to configure that to have it set automatically

- when the device startup, and then I go to the "comm manager" screen, if I turn on "data connection", I was transfered to the connection windows :S (my connections are ok.) An other rom was able to establish a connection..
- on the "comm manager" screen too, on this version I don't have the right button options. It was not very useful, but is it normal?

Anyway I'll search for a solution to the behavior you are experiencing on your device.

no, holding it is not working for me. The red X turns white and nothing happens. I have to press the end cal button to close it. Also the only way to scroll down in the landscape comm manager is through the scrollbarand D-pad. Meaning i cant flick up and down. Also on the next build can you put a big high res IE icon instead of it being inside a folder with one thing inside it.

if anyone is using that build and is intressted in correcting the 2 main bugs i experienced here are the fixes
1) Timezone and time update:
Using your preferred registry editor go to
HKLM\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting Change the value of the Key "ShowTimeZonesPage" to value of 1 (dword). Close your registry editor (no reset required) and tap START-SETTINGS-PERSONAL-PHONE, there should be a new tab where you can automatically set the phone to get time and timezone information from the network.
I tried selecting that tab using Advanced Config 3.3 and it wouldn't enable it for some reason, but this has worked for me.
2) The OK/X button
just install the attached Cab, softreset, enjoy :)
I do belive Cracing made that one, but as i mentioned in my post earlier, I found it on xda2_haseeb's rom page under FAQ so thanks to both :))))))

I beleive that you have this problem. But I think it is a hardware problem or conflict on your device. Because no one has reported this kind of problems.
Ayway, I hope your problem get fixed soon.
Thanks.

Very good ROM. Looks nice and pretty fast
But Wi-Fi doesn't work on my Wiz now...
It's turns on but can't find any wireless network (Even if my rotuer lays next to Wiz)
I've just reflashed him with Win6.1 and WLAN again works correctly
Any conclusion?
I'd be very pleased if you could fix it.

I agree, wifi didn't find any nodes.
I entered my router manually, it still didn't work.
Then I turned off wifi, turned it back on, and it connected.
So, it's strange and not quite right, but it does work for me.

Battery life is good. Haven't had it long enough to test out the battery life. I didn't flash an official before this one, so if the battery drops too quick I'll have to re-test with the official to clear it out.
Wifi works fine. It does sometimes takes me flipping the Comm Mgr switch twice to turn it on. But I've had that happen with a bunch of WM6/WM6.5 ROMs so used to it.
Camera closes fine.
Speed feels improved from last builds. A lot better than a earlier WM6.5 build I had running. Haven't tried MSD 23064 vs CR 23064, but I'm sure they are pretty close though.
Lots of visual improvements versus old builds too.
I'm still not getting the 27MB on brand new flash. I'm getting 23.11MB. I don't have Hibernate installed, so I'll try that out later. Haven't tried installing anything yet or adjusted buffers/caches so not sure what is causing a 4MB drop. Oh well...I'll have to try another flash in a day or two.

Hi,
Thanks for using this ROM.
To fix this problem please copy WiFiInit.lnk from Windows folder to StartUp folder in Windows. Then please Soft-Reset your device.
Thanks.

If you disbale the windows default in Home settings you will get the 27MB.
If you disable Windows Default in Home Settings, you'll lose CHome (Titanium). I have 27MB of free program memory with enabled CHome.
Maybe you need to flash to an official ROM first before flashing this ROM.
Thanks.

I was able to get 26.33MB after a new flash and 27.08MB after running hibernate (both with CHome running). But since I've restored my contacts and started moving over files (CHome, My Documents, Start Menu, etc)...the memory drops to around 23MB. I still haven't installed ANY program. But its still a lot better than my last WM6.5 beta which I was getting 17MB or so and it ended up dropping to about 10-12MB after a day or two.
I still don't know why it drops from 26 to 23 without anything installed. I didn't even restore my HKLM_Software and HKCU_Software reg dumps that have all the settings for the programs stored on Storage Card. I'm sure it'll drop even more than that.
I did add over 100 program shortcuts to the Start Menu folder, so perhaps that is being loaded into memory and cached since when I go into Start Menu there is never a delay in drawing the menu unlike the original Start Menu in WM5/WM6.1
...And now I'm getting spontaneous errors.
IT CHANGED MY PASSWORD on me. I cannot access my device now. I set my usual password. I've reset this device at least a dozen times now and it never rejected the password until now. This is just weird.
When I first flashed the delay between the lock slider screen, password screen and home screen was very quick. Now its a lot longer and there is a delay in when I can move the lock slider, when I can input my password (sometimes I have to punch the keys multiple times), and able to move CHome to switch between plugins. This could just be related to creating the Start Menu in the background. When I used QuickMenu there was a similar boot delay.
Recently PSShutDown fails to completely start. I see it changing the title on the toolbar, yet it doesn't popup the window so I can press the reset button. It worked fine in the beginning. This did happen in previous WM6.5 ROMs so maybe its a build issue. At least I know its not a software conflict since there is nothing installed in the ROM yet.
Anyone experiencing any of these errors or is it just me? I'm still going to re-flash and re-test to make sure.

Just hard reset and only restored contacts (~150), SMSes (~1100), calendar (~78 birthdays/anniversaries). Went thru all the control panel apps and setup the device how I normally would. With just that done its maxing out at 23.50MB after a hibernate.
Still don't understand how it could drop 3.58MB just from that. But 23.50MB at this point is acceptable for WM6.5 on this lowly Wizard. If after everything is setup and it stays over 20MB after a couple days of usage I'll be a very happy camper.
Regarding errors, so far so good -- not experiencing any of the lockscreen delay errors, psShutdown works, lock is accepting my password =). Next I'll restore my Start Menu shortcuts and CHome/lockscreen layout. And then begin installing apps to program memory. *crossing fingers*

Hi dear SeanFromSoCal,
Do you get 23.5MB after soft-reset and running Oxios Hibernate ?
I have not encountered any of these errors you had before hard-resetting your device. But please use your device for two more days and if everything was ok then restore your Start Menu shortcuts and other settings. This might give an idea if the problem comes from restoring them.
Thanks.
Best Regards.

Ok, here goes my input for this nice rom.
I'm using the Windows Mobile 6.5.0.1 Build 21859 - Clean.
I was a Vox user previously and I must say that the speed with the wizzard and this rom is drasticly faster than my vox was wit wimo 6.5.
Altough I had the same issue with the wireless. It couldn't find any nodes but when you turn wireless off and on again, it does work.
Some other glitches I noticed:
Where's the battery icon in the start menu? Now I have to look in the system, power applet to see the status of the battery.
When I send an sms, I get timestamps but the ones I receive only have a data.
Although, I am very very fond of this rom. The only thing that annoys me is the lack of a battery status icon.
Cheers and keep up the good work!!

Dear lodewj,
Thanks for your testing.
1- You can also check your battery by tapping on the battery icon in the notification area (aka. Taskbar) in the top. A shortcut is also available in the Windows folder which you can also copy it to the Start Menu > Programs folder if you want it in your Start Menu.
2- Your issue with timestamp might be a build error. I'll notice it in the next release which might be near.
Thanks again for testing and reporting errors.

Well here we run into my problem, I haven't got a battery icon in the notification area.
edit:
While we are at it, I've downloaded the dutch T9 cab in the vox forum. (I'm from belgium and thus a native dutch speaking person) But when I have installed it, choose my locale (dutch belgium, tried dutch Netherlands as well), I can't seem to get the dutch T9 activated. any tips on this as well?

It might be because of some modification by some software.
You can fix it by going to Start Menu > Settings > Clock and Alarms > More and unchecking the "Display the clock on the title bar in all programs".
Or you can take it back by installing Advanced Configuration Tool (http://www.touchxperience.com/) and changing the "Show on title bar" in the Today partfrom "Clock" to "Battery".

I just gave my G4 a hard reset.
But it doesn't seem to help the problem with the battery icon not showing up on the notification area. If I look at your screenshots (on the first post). I see that you have a clock 'and' a battery icon.

CRACING, yeah that makes sense. My memory will probably drop even more when I add my 100+ shortcuts. But for right now I only have added 1 shortcut to Hibernate. So I don't understand the 3.5MB drop by only restoring my PIM data and going thru the control panel settings to set things up how I like them.
Currently topping out at 23.92MB after a soft reset and hibernate. Deleted 300 SMSes, soft reset, hibernated and it didn't even go up at all. So I don't think its my PIM.

This is the nature of these builds (COM3 branches). Yes, They are big to be more finger-friendly. If you don't like these builds you can use COM2 branches builds (Like 21859) which have the old GUI.

The 3.5MB drop is from the Lock application. As long as I have it enabled (even its schedule not to turn on for 30 minutes) it'll still take up about 3MB worth of RAM.
So I don't understand the 3.5MB drop by only restoring my PIM data and going thru the control panel settings to set things up how I like them.

Oh, sorry, That's the problem you have got with RapidShare.
I'm afraid, I can't. My connection is a limited one and I have not enough bandwidth and traffic to upload it again on another server.
Try to solve the problem by using a proxy or IP Changing softwares.

MD_Bluelily,
I found some files in the windows folder that aren't used. Perhaps deleting these from the ROM flash would make the device faster. 100% unnecessary because they aren't for QVGA.
Titanium*.cpr (that don't fit our resolution)
LS_SimplePinScene_*.cpr (that don't fit our resolution)
LS_PhoneCallScene_*.cpr (that don't fit our resolution)
LS_PhoneAlertScene_*.cpr (that don't fit our resolution)
LS_LockScene_*.cpr (that don't fit our resolution)
LS_InkingArea_192_*.png
LS_Global_*.cpr (that don't fit our resolution)
LS_AlarmScene_*.cpr (that don't fit our resolution)
Also are these files needed?
*.htm (appear to be help files but I can't see any program linking back to these files, maybe it was in a Welcome/Intro to Windows Mobile app that is not in the ROM)
*.css (same as above)
arwL_entry_*.png (no clue what these are)
arwR_entry_*.png (same as above)
SCRD_*.png (same as above)
Is it possible to install these as CABS instead of hard flashing in the ROM?
HTC Album (lots of files in the Windows directory...would be nice if these could be installed in its own Program Files->HTC Album directory or use a different image viewer altogether)
HTC Calculator (similar to above)
Themes (similar to above)
Start_Icon_*.png (some of these will probably be overwritten for heavy customizers...all these apps with low-res icons)
If these are removed the Windows directory will probably contain 33% less files. Having a single folder with 2100+ files in it would appear to me as being not very efficient filesystem wise. Sorry its my tech-OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) I like keeping my windows devices super clean. CRACING can attest to me asking "do we need..." questions :-).
I downloaded a kitchen just to see where they are located and I could write you a batch file if you want. That'll help speed up deleting these unnecessary files on new builds. But I'm assuming you might have to delete a bunch of entries in text files too, huh? If it is too much effort to delete these in your kitchen, no worries at all. Just throwing it out there.

Yeah you are right. Some of these files are really unnecessary and some of them are related to Help, LockScreen, PIE, ... . But this is hard to find which one is a must and which one is not. So I have to test them to see if I can remove them or not. Some of them can be known by their name but we can not remove the others without testing.
I think of HTC Album and HTC Calculator as two useful and usual application and as far as the Windows folder is not a common place to use there is no problem to have their files there.
Themes are part of the OS and the path of the images are hard-coded in them so if we want to change their place, we need to edit them too which is a time consuming task.
And Do you mean removing Start_Icon_*.png files too ? But they are already used to customizing the Start Menu. Maybe we can remove some of them but not all of them.
I do agree with you on the number of the files in one directory and this is really important for me too. So I will try to clean it as far as nothing bad happens to it.
I really liked and enjoyed the idea of the batch file to delete the mentioned redundant files above. But as I stated before we should be wise about it.
Thanks for your great attention.
And how did you find the new release ?
Is is satisfying ?
Best Regards.

ur rom seems to be getting better, especially the newest one (23071). I have a big problem though:
Everytime i charge it using wall charger or usb, the phone keeps resetting itself. it wakes up and then doing soft reset..
i try hard resetting but it still does that. and then i try flashing it again, but the problem still there. and it must be software problem cos i roll back to another rom and everything just fine.. so, any thought? Thanks

I'm really sorry for the inconvenience. I think this might be driver problem which I can not fix it at the moment. But I will try to solve it in the next releases by changing the drivers.
Please check if you can charge your device while it is off. In this way you can charge it with no more resets.

Gotcha. Hopefully the first group of files should be easy deletes since they are WQVGA, VGA, WVGA, etc. resolution files

Tried out the newer HTC Album its pretty nice. And yeah its probably deeply integrated. Perhaps the calculator would be an easy switch. HTC Calc - 139 files @ 347.7KB. SPB Calculator (freeware) - 4 files @ 153KB. SPB is skinnable. I've attached the files for your consideration. There are better skins out there than the one I just attached:

I gave it some thought. Probably better to keep those. I was thinking that people were going to come out with WM6.5 Icon theme CABs, but I'm not seeing much. If there were I could see more benefits of installing default icons as a CAB.

I've download 23071 XIP_SYS and 23071 CE_OS files so I'm somewhat familiar on where the physical locations for these files would be in the kitchen, so when you decide what is safe to delete some of these, please let me know and I'll create a batch file to make it quicker for you in future builds.
Your 23064 is very nice. More stable than older builds. Quick too, fast enough even without overclocking. It was draining battery power pretty quick, but that was correctable. Just had to turn off some DisablePowerManagement reg entries in HKLM->Comm.
I'll try your 23071 tonight since I've been reading its even better. Thanks again.

I found the SPBCalculator nice, although it is less advanced calculator than HTC Calculator but I think those advanced functionality won't be too necessary. So I'm going to use it in future releases.

Yes you can do it. But you must first install an appropriate MMS application.
These ROM(s) are clean and customizing them is up to users. All of this cleanness is due to earning more performance.
Anyway, If you need MMS application, please tell me so and I'll provide you the cab file to install it on your device.

I had been trying the great CRACING releases for some time ago, and in the post of him i found today your ROM, and i have read now that it runs super fast in our old (but also loved) WIZARD.
The CRACING work is awesome and i have read that you learned from his work, so i think that your ROMs must be same good than CRACING ROMs are.
I will try your latest ROM (23071 based) today and i will leave some comments for you if don't bother you.
Thank you for share your work with us.

But please notice that CRACING's great ROMs are feature rich and contain everything that you might need. But the ROMs in this thread are clean to let us have performance instead.

Sorry to read about your stolen Wizard, SeanfromSoCal. Wish you the best.
MD_Bluelily, I have tested with your 23071 ROM the new build of M2D 2.0
installing the cab files from XDA's Development and Hacking section.
I had 3 extra panels installed on the CHome side. After installing all needed
files, had 16 MB of storage and running with about 20 to 14MB of program
memory. Had to overclock to 264Mhz and still a little slow, but usable.
Everything worked less change background on Home, and the auto updating
Home tab weather returned no weather data available after asking for
location services confirmation. The other problem is that the startup takes
about 4 1/2 minutes. If the M2D 2.0 files are already in the ROM, the
startup will be faster?
Only sharing my experience with the M2D 2.0 cab files install. Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for the information about running the M2D.0 on this ROM.
Anyway, the memory usage seems to be right.
I think some one once solved this but I can not remember what the solution was. All I can remember is it was on M2D 2.0 thread in the development and hacking section. It can be solved though.
I think a ROM with M2D 2.0 embedded in it can start faster. CRACING is a master of embedding M2D to Wizard ROMs. For sure he knows the solution to these problems.

This process needs you to know what kind of Wizard you have, it is a G3 or a G4. Then you want to upgarde in Hard-SPL mode or Soft-SPL mode.
I highly recommend you to start from the following links (I did the same first time I wanted to upgrade my device):
How to determine if your Wizard is a G3 or a G4 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Wizard_Versions)
CID Unlock your G3 Wizard (Only for Wizards with less than AKU2) (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=249474)

Solution for CID Unlocking G3 Wizard with AKU2 or higher (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=263116)
CID Unlock your G4 Wizard Hard-SPL (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=332320)
CID Unlock your G4 Wizard Soft-SPL (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=329147)
Upgrading your device (G3 and G4) (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Wizard%20Windows%20Mobile%206%2 0for%20newbies)

Ok, I got it.
You can not run this file on its own. You need to copy this file to the folder of your previous ROM Update and then do the same procedure as you always did before.
Please notice that this nk.nbf file it the ROM and needs to be flashed to your device using an appropriate tool.
Because updating devices differs from each other, then I prefer to leave it on you.

Hi,
I am using version 23064. When I try to play any music from SD card with Windows Media Player, I get the following error:
"Cannot play any items in teh playlist. For additional information, on the Now Playing screen, select an item, and then press Menu > Error Details."
In Error Details, it says,
"Cannot play the file. The file is either corrupted or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play."
The files are mp3, and I know that they are not corrupted because I can play them in Sound Settings to preview for ring tone. Does anyone have the same problem with MSD 23064? Or is it fixed in 23071?
Thanks a lot,

A new release (6.5.1.5) based on the build (23075) is available for download in the Post #1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4599011&postcount=1).
I fixed a few minor bugs that I was aware of and made a few changes in this release as follows:
WMP can now play video file formats. So there is no need to install the MediaSupport package.
Fixed the missing Camera Picture Template.
Fixed some missing icons in the Settings > System.
Changed SPB Calculator with HTC Calculator.
Some minor registry fixes related to power consumption.
Some minor registry fixes related to customization.
Fixed the missing bouncing action in the version 6.5.1.4 (build 23071)
Fixed the orders of the icons in the Start Menu and its sub-menus.
Cleaned some useless files to keep the ROM cleaner.
I hope you enjoy this release.
Please give your feedbacks and post the bugs that you encounter.
Thanks.

I haven't seen such a thing before:
Everything is fine, fast, beautiful, except the mail program, when displaying email from the Exchange server at my work, does not display the "FROM" email address, only the subject.
Your other ROMs did not do this. I am experimenting with settings now because I find it hard to believe that this would be messed up in the ROM.

Looks like it is a 23075 build issue. I have also a Samsung Omnia and the same happen after flashing a 23075 ROM.
People on the forum are researching for a solution or fix. Will let know.

Dear n2rjt,
Unfortunately that's an issue with the build 23075.
I hope a solution be found soon.

This ROM is like the build 23075 but I noticed a few more free memory (a few) and better performance up to know. I'll let you know if I found out more.
You can see the release 6.5.1.5 (build 23075)'s change log here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4794718&postcount=178).

Dear wko668,
Please try installing MediaSupport package from the Post #7 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4599549&postcount=7) and then soft-reset your device. Then try playing your files.
I had not this problem in 23064 and I don't have it in 23071 either.
And also try copying one of them to your phone memory and try playing it from there.
Please let me know the result.
Thanks.
Best Regards.
I updated to 23075 and Media Player can play my music now. Thanks a lot. Great ROM!

I added a new package named Outlook Fix in the Post #7 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4599549&postcount=7). By installing this package the problem of outlook while connecting to Exchange Server will be fixed.
Some of the users have reported that the problem does not exist in the build 23081 though.

Yes, it is G4 safe, already tested. You are very active on the M2D 2.0 thread, may you please give me a little advice? Have a G4 Wizard with GFX M2D 2.0 patched, everything working OK less weather in Home tab. It tries to update and connects to GPRS but returns no wheather data available.
Thanks for any insight and apologies to Md_Bluelily for the out of topic question. Also thanks to Md_Bluelily for the Exchange fix.

I was using the new M2D on my Nike - but alas last night it died - no longer accepting any rom, stock or custom. With the Nike it worked okay, didn't really do anything other than include all the cabs that were required and it worked.
Maybe I'll try and do it on the wizard, but at the moment it is my only phone and I can't afford it to be bricked :)
Did you install the google location service, aGPS, google maps and HTCGeoService? that is what is required to get it running. Is there enough room on the wizard to run all the necessary packages??

Thanks for the reply d_train.
Yes I install all geolocation service cabs and all basic cabs. Dshow cab will not
install, but apply a workaround install from the M2D 2.0 thread.
Yes there is enough space, using a clean ROM like Md_bluelily's MSD.
M2D will be slow to start, need to overclock to 260 or 275, but usable.
Have Footprints working from the shortcut, if try to enable the Footprints
tab, M2D 2.0 will not start.

Dear iandy,
Please notice that this free memory is really a little. So, please consider it before reflashing your device.
I can make the ROMs have more memory but then I have to remove InternetSharing.
All users please vote if you need InternetSharing or I can remove it to gain more memory.

OK. Now you can copy the downloaded nk.nbf file to the Soft-SPL and ROM Updator utility and start START-sSPL.exe. Then you can follow the instructions to flash your device. You can use both Hard-SPL and Soft-SPL. You need to copy the downloaded nk.nbf file to the related folder and run the appropriate starter file.
I prefer using Soft-SPL, I think of it as a more safer way to flash the device.

Dear ntmm,
If you don't like the new GUI (which has big buttons and big dialogs), you can use the old GUI ROM in the Post #2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4599013&postcount=2).

I don't have any experience on JAVA Embeded.
I just know that you should find a Java Package that is compatible with WM6.5 and install that on your device. Then everything should work fine.

I just loaded Windows Mobile 6.5.1.6 Build 23081 and I cant believe how fast this 6.5.1 is. I was tempted to go back to 6.1. Great job!
The only problem that I noticed with this build is that I was always able to hold down the comm button to enable/disable vibrate. I tried going into the button configuration menu, but there doesn't seem to be a way to enable one of the buttons to do vibrate. Am I missing something?
Thank you!

Has anyone gotten M2D working with any MSD Series ROM?
If so, could you give some guidance?
I got the patched version for WinMo 6.1 to work with a different ROM (see my signature) but have never succeeded in running the newer M2D with WinMo 6.5.
The MSD Series seems to have enough space available, but something is missing.

I got the patched version for WinMo 6.1 to work with a different ROM (see my signature) but have never succeeded in running the newer M2D with WinMo 6.5.
The MSD Series seems to have enough space available, but something is missing.
Follow step by step the instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4732815&postcount=1469 This guide created by aestivalisakito thanks to him.
First, look close to the end of this guide and download the GFX 2DManila 2.0.19191432.Patched.cab. This is an optimized M2D cab for non HTC devices.
Our Wizard is a little old and behaves for the M2D 2.0 install like a non HTC device. Download the install package and substitute this patched one for the regular one in the package.
Dshow cab will not install, the workaround is here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?nz2wihmy5ig
"Copy DShow zip file to your phone and unzip to \Windows directory. Also you will have to import registry settings from reg file included in same zip."
"Debbug logger is enabled in some applications by default. So you will have to disable it by deleting this registry key as soon as you have finished installing all programs.
The key will reappear, but don't worry, it will not log anything." HKLM\Software\HTC\DebLogger
Thanks to WhiteAlien for this.
Delete this Key with a Reg editor or your free memory will be consumed by the Deblogger files.
To reduce total memory needed by M2D to run try this reg edit: "Browse to “HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\ResProxy” using a registry editor and change “ShareMemSize” to 0. " Thanks to Sector.
For the weather on the Home tab there is a fix here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4643759&postcount=1265
Forgot to mention not to install Album and Audiomanager
from the M2D 2.0 file package because they do not work as is.
They need additional procedures to work that I am not familiar with.
Use Album 2.0 or Album 2.5 (this one is included already on Md_bluelily's ROM, so you don't need to install it).
Also install Audiomanager 2.0 and Google Maps to main memory not to memory card.
This worked for me, the only non working items are autoupdate Home tab weather and change background on settings.
Will be slow to start up and will need to overclock to at least 264 Mhz not more than 276 Mhz.
Please note that M2DC is not fully compatible with M2D 2.0. Do not try to
add more lines or rows in Programs tab. You will not be able to see the name
of the program in the shortcut.
For themes, do not use old themes, they will
mess up your Home tab, use new themes created for M2D 2.0 from here

Pocket IE 6.0 is slow on our devices because HTC Wizard does not have enough memory and the CPU speed is also low too.
I'll give it a try to change it with an older version but I think there are some functionalities that needs PIE 6.0's files.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy using it.
Best Regards.

Dear users,
A new release (6.5.1.7) based on the build (23085) is ready to download at the Post #1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4599011&postcount=1).
This build a little faster than previous builds in my opinion.
I hope you enjoy using it.
Please post your feedbacks and bugs you see.
(I'm still searching for Comm Manager button and vibrate mode bug.)
Best Wishes.

Hi md_bluelily,
first thank you for the ROMS you made. They are fast but I have some problems with it.
In both releases WiFi doesn't work on my device even if I copy the WiFiinit in the startup folder. Is this only by me or is it the issue ?
Second, I have instaled the new MD2 from user with a nick "aestivalisakito" but it also does not work properly and ofcourse I used MD2 for non HTC devices.
Can you give some answers about this questions ?
Thanks in advance.
