Restart your diamond ...... let it load up the most , aftrer the task manager button at the extreme top right loads up , you can open the applications...... Phone Canvas Will work fine ............ sometimes it messes up ........ if you don't want LITTLE issues as well , tell me i'll upload the old canvas cab , that works perfect ........ PM me .....:)

I have tried my phone with WIFI for few hours but i never had any issues.

maybe it's a problem caused by my WPA2 access point password .

Very impressed works really well, no memory leeks that i have found very impressed. Can't wait for the official version of sense to be working on this rom.

Works well, the animated home screen looks great. There are bugs as mentioned already but nothing that stops me using the phone as i did when i first got it.

Have a hero now but getting a HD2 when its realased here in the UK, if you want a sneaky peek at what you will get, this is the rom for you!

Maybe Kisja will release another one but I don't think so...

Hi, it is not true that this rom is memory hungry, in fact it is better than any of the the other m2.5 roms and very stable. I have been using it ever since the beta 1 and i must say that it takes only about 73 to 74 percent of the ram which is very normal.

I have to agree that the RAM usage on this ROM is not stupidly high BUT there are a number of instances where the ROM appears to hang or freeze for a few seconds which does make it appear as if the RAM usage is too high (particularly around SMS). Hopefully this can be fixed with the next release.

Anyone know of a way to get the SMS working on the LITE version of this ROM? i know there is a 'fix' but there is no reg editor in the lite version of the ROM

I have used the tweak posted in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556614), it will disable the htc messaging and you will be left with default sms, but I have a problem new sms light notification and manila does not show up the new message.

Regarding the freaze I have not experienced any situation on a regular usage, have you tried MTTY.

G-sensor calibration isn't ported to VGA, so calibration isn't possible (the 'Calibrate' button isn't visible). Will this be ported in the next release? Although Manila isn't in landscape mode yet, I need this for other apps such as TomTom :)

You know you can set landscape manually? start>settings>system>screen.

But you're right, it would be nice to have it back the old way ;)

Thnx,but that's not the same setting :) The calibration is necessary for activating auto-rotation, and the Screen-setting in Settings/System doesn't do the job...

Y'all need to read this thread!! Sound works just dandy, all events fire up & chime on properly; Yes, HTC Messaging is a CPU/RAM hog fit for a Snapdragon device with lots of ROM; either put up with it, or download the disabler/fix:

1. Disable HTC Messaging and revert to using poutlook by looking for zeyee's messaging fix in the Blackstone section, or where its refernced on this thread.

2. Download or put FDC Taskmgr to use if you have it to apply the ril disablesmswakeup event fix.

3. Stop bitching about what we all know, both of yous are experts that we depend on for fixes, so START FIXING away! :P

so my first impresion was great.. a nice rom.. with nice effects.. for far a i know right now.. 2 bugs find... the clock is not working fine.. the tabs are going to slow.. and when i'm getting my phone from stand by the tabs have to work around... to the right time :)

bug 2.. my screen was staying lightning. so when i press the button on the top.. the phone screen get of... but there is a light.. hopefully there is a solution...

OK, thanks, but haven't had any problems with HTC Messaging except for opening conversations which I know has to do with the HTC client. Haven't been changing ringtones, so I have no issue like that error message. My problem is that there is no sound when I receive an SMS, although screen lights up, message appears and the LEDs start flashing.

EDIT: I found the error - it was actually the language pack for Sense 2.5 (from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4884099&postcount=767)) that killed the sound!! I uninstalled it and reverted the registry edit to English langauge code, and sound is back! Weird :confused: Anyone else with sound issues experiencing that this solves the issue?

I have Light version beta 3 without Opera in ROM,i install Opera separately but somebody tell me how to start Opera program from Manila Internet tab ?

BTW HTC Messaging working fine in Light version!

I suspect that the opera you're using installs to "\program files\Opera\" not to "\windows" you'll need to either make/find a workaround, or just use one that installs to \windows dir. Tell me If you can't find one so I'll give you mine

Otherwise, this is not an issue I'm having. I'm using both my Gmail & Hotmail accounts in Manila!
If you suspect this is a problem with Manila 2.5, not outlook, then I suggest that you PM Amarullz.

Go through all the options here and customize to your liking :)

Nice looking ROM, but it use 88-90% of memory after ~5 minute taps. i.e. free RAM is around 10-13mb. I doubt if its acceptable...

sorry mate but that is not true!
this is probably the ROM with manila with better RAM management! it rarely reaches 90% and usualy stay's between 70% and 80%.

I agree completely. The Rom has a good management of ram. Rarely exceeds 90% in my case.
It just need a little more speed and fluidity.
Maybe next release.
I also want to ask when will the new release kisja?

Thanks for the response shirreer. Just to be clear (my statement was a bit cryptic), by "contact photo" I was referring to the photo of the mail's sender appearing in the top right corner of the manila mail tab message preview as shown in the image below;

With the Amarullz manila mail package installed I do not see any contact photos showing up in the message previews. Does it work on your device? Or does more of build 1920 need to be ported over still before that feature is available?

In any case, it's easy to use ROM editor and remove things to your liking.

I cannot open e-mails tapping on them in manila, when i use the WM (tapping on inbox) the mail opens for few moments and then it closes again.
Anyone else got this issue? It's a Rom's bug or i can solve it istalling something?

Thanks Dear for the hard work, i am using the rom for past 10 days and it is working fine for me, only the issue i faced is reading the message. the messages are not displayed properly.

no one knows if soon will be released an other version? above all...this rom it's fantastic...now i'm using it form 2 weeks...and no problem, no soft/hard reset...i've deleted 3/4 files in startup folder and disabled phone canvas, too...and now my ram is at 67%:)fantastic, much more fast....waiting next release...it will be wonderful!!! congratulation!!!:cool:

We have to remove and disable a lot to be minimally usable.
For now I still think that is heavy but everything is possible.;)

You made some good come-backs mate. Also, another good point, if I want a "bleeding edge" OS why would I remove tachi/LEO dialer from the ROM? Granted I'd get 10 megs of RAM but, in the process, lose a lot of functionality... the key here is "bloat-ware" and the Dialer isn't one of those...

Guys, the SMS problem has been resolved way back at the begining, search for "zenyee" witout quotes, or lookup his fix in the Blackstone forum...

Which are the file that you have cancelled?

you have to delete:"delWmpTemp..." "HTC_Phonecanvas..." "PKG"

try and say me if you can see any differencies;)

I'm not able to found the flag in Date & Time. Only in Regional Settings but it's grayed.
Anyway, I've resolved going in the old WM Settings menu > System > Regional settings > Time > style changed to "H.mm.ss" :)

Man, you're genious!!! I thought i'll spend all night finding it out and solution came to me in 20 seconds with 'search this thread' button!

Does anyone know how to fix the time stamp bug in SMS?
When I send an SMS -- the time stamp for my outgoing message is OK, but incomming messages are like 6 hours delayed.. makes reading SMS a headache :(

oggi provo a vedere se riesco a tradurre altre parti, se riesco posto una piccola guida qui.

Stò provando a tradurre i Mui del tachi phone canvas, poi cerco dove metterli per vedere se funziona ... ma è un lavoro lungo per me.

After installing couple of programs my touch flow stopped launching . It keeps saying " tap here to launch " and thats about it ... Any go on this ... :)

Doesn't exist.
here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=582792) you can find the latest Sun Y rom and a cab to translate Manila into Italian language (but not WM and other sw).

Probably not, as it is a different device with different drivers. To be safe, only install ROMs for you device.

And FYI, this thread is old - see first page for link to the new, updated thread :)
