ok also,

@d-two,
I have been waiting for someone to port this. I gotta say, this is pretty sweet!! The rom is blazing fast and it has no issues with Synchronization with ActiveSync, BT seems to be working OK (searched for and added a device, I will try data transfer later on), Wifi is working fine as well. The only thing that you are missing is an extended rom since the rom is as plain and vanilla as it can get (not that there is anything wrong with that :)) Having said that, do you have this Extended Rom (particularly Office, I don't care much about the rest of the stuff since I don't use half of it).
Do you know of a registry entry to disable the phone? I try to turn it off in CommMgr but it comes back on a few minutes after. This is a pain for me since I do not use my BA as a phone anymore (at least for now).
I will try to report more later, but so far Great Job!!!!!!!

ok, status report:
flashing with vmware : NO
flashing with windows 7 xp mode in virtual pc: NO
finally i found an xp machine, that i could use for this purposes and it worked out as planned.
it's really fast and i like the general looks and feel of the new buttons and also the integrated large title bar, but that was to be expected.
@homam_france:
wow, there's tons of stuff missing, and i'm not talking extrom here. what about power settings, backlight, owner info... all the things i would normally set up first
ok, first time using the wlan manager, the start or X button don't work, i'm stuck, soft reset.
will edit with further info, once i am done setting up the device

The Extended rom is already in work. (The office will be included.)
I don't know anything about any problems with the phone itself - I tested all the diffrent functions, on my ppc everything works pretty fine.

ok, first time using the wlan manager, the start or X button don't work, i'm stuck, soft reset.
will edit with further info, once i am done setting up the device

@Chef and Homan,
The owner info seems to be something with the 6.5.1. I have seen a few roms in the Raphael section with similar issues.
I believe this link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4268138&postcount=3) has all the info that we need to get our stuff back :D (thanks Da_G)

u can find power ,backlights icons in the upper bar.
about the Owner info.,it is a problem with some sofwares that its activation depend on the owner info.
there are alot of softwares dont work properly, like finger keyboard and some dictionaries.
another missing here, about the option of the keyboard,we cannot set the keyboards option.
by the way, i update the new rom by windows vista, without any problem.
some times the x bottun is not respond, but it will respond by press ok hardware bottun.

I can confirm that the "x" does not work on the wlan manager. Although you can get out by pressing the "End call" button. This will take you directly to the home screen.
The start button does work, but not on the home screen. I just tried to use it in the Contacts screen and it works ok.

English Version:
Wireless Manager does not close but works fine.
Device Information missing
Thanks for the hard Work.

HTC BlueAngel d-two de branded "MyMobiler Skin (http://www.swiss420.ch/xda/d-two_de_mymobiler_skin_v05.zip)" forMyMobiler Freeware (http://www.mymobiler.com/)

hey nice, the bugs i reported were not really bugs, i see that now, but i always feel like there is a lot to do after flashing a new rom, so i was stressed out and didn't have the time to try out all the options before posting, it was just some first impressions and from my previous experiences with wm6.5 i was used to a rather full settings screen, whereas now it is rather slim and vanilla, which i like even more.
@swiss:
i wasn't offended by anything you said, you seem to have misunderstood me, i was rather a little bit jealous that you made it work so simple while i have been trying for quite some time now and was just small steps away from realizing it, but more on that further down.
let me first say: "way to go, buddy!"
i think no rom has seen this many screenshots before, which i think is great for the community, they really know what they're getting with this rom, when they have such a great look at it before. i also said i would make some and already prepared the device mask to put the screenshots in, but you saved me a lot of work.
about windows 7 xp mode:
just a few quick questions
1. i set up xp mode and it worked out fine
2. i installed activesync in there
3. i connected the device to the pc (still on, no bootloader yet)
4. i clicked on usb and linked the device to the vm, so disconnecting it from the host system
5. synced favorites (no outlook in the vm)
and then the problems started, because for entering the bootloader i disconnected the device, put it in bootloader mode and re-connected it, windows 7 was searching drivers, and in the vm i could only see "unknown device" in usb, so i connected that. but then my bootloader was gone, the device's display was entirely grey, which i unfortunately just saw after starting the upgrade, which seemed to get a connection but didn't show any values except for the new rom version i was going to have, so getdevicedata didn't work, and after starting it got stuck at 0% with a completely grey display.
so my problem seems rather special, it wasn't the problem setting up the general environment, but connecting the device, when it is in bootloader mode, because there are no working drivers for my system, so the "unknown device" issue would pass, and if there were any, would i still need the xp mode? i mean that would be quite similar to the flashing in vista method, once there is a driver for the device in bootloader mode, the flashing works, right?
if you managed to bypass that or went a completely different way, please let me know so that maybe we can work out a working wiki for upgrades on windows 7 to be integrated in the wizard. btw i use windows 7 ultimate x64 build 7600 msdn.
@d-two:
after reading all the new posts that were written just since yesterday night, i realized that my last post was not written as positive as i originally intended.
this rom is great, it is fast, it looks great, it is so vanilla, and since the things i reported earlier were merely my own fault, i have to say, there is no real bug in it!
i actually have a lot of stuff to install to set the device up to my purposes, but i think i'll wait for your extrom and what you have to offer there, because i would set up my own extrom with it.
i hope more people try this rom and give it a chance, which is actually the reason i wrote in english, let's not exclude anybody or scare them off by using another language than english, as stated in the forum rules.

Hi,
Sorry, for posting in German this afternoon. I followed the rules and translated my post so more people can understand it.
After reading in this forum for a long time (checking the wiki, understanding your BA, etc.) I finally registered. Your work helped me quite often so first I want to thank everyone.
Keep on working like that.
First I flashed xplode's ROM WM6.5 Build 23004 WWE R7.1. Ran quite stable but I couldn't neither phone nor send messages.
Maybe because of the English ROM not accepting my German T-Mobile SIM?
Anyway, I didn't check it in details, because I decided to give your ROM WM6.5 Build 23004 German/Deutsches ROM V1.0 a chance, d-two.
Apparently my BA doesn't like XCPUscalar or the other way round ;)
The Screen freezed after only a few inputs so the only thing I could do was to perform a soft reset but it still kept freezing after a starting an app.
Scrolling was very slow too. Once the XCPUscalar options appeared, but clocking down the CPU didn't fix the problem.
Do I have to change something on my BA to run XCPUscalar or does the app just not harmonize with my BA (Intel PXA263 processor)?
Next, I installed your newest ROM WM6.5.1 beta Build 23052 (english/german) in German, d-two.
It's running very stable and fast and the GUI reacts fluently, no scrolling problems anymore.
WORKING
- Phone Calls (incoming and outgoing) - work
- Text Messaging (incoming and outgoing) - works
- Buttons on BA: Calendar, Contacts, Voice Recorder, Camera, Windows, Message, IE, OK, D-Pad - work
- Camera and voice recorder function properly, but you can only exit the camera mode by pressing the red lit hang-up button; no exit button.
- WLAN - works (first it didn't find any hotspot so I put ssid, pw, etc. in manually and it worked, after a while it found all the 20something  networks in my area automatically
- LEDs for Network and Bluetooth - work (didn't work for me when I had xplode's release and your 20034 german rom installed)
- ActivSync - works (but I could only test syncing "favorites" and "files" because I haven't installed outlook. yeah, I only use thunderbird ;)
At the first time syncing I could set up the new device in ActiveSync and now it connects to the BA flawlessly.
When I had WM2003 installed I could choose between the 2 pairing options "pair as guest" and "standard" every time.
I experienced that I have to kill all running processes on the BA via taskmanger before syncing. Otherwise AS won't connect to the BA.
NOT WORKING
- Close Button in wireless manager doesn't work, but you can exit using the hang-up button (as others have posted, too)
- Home Button to return to the start screen doesn't work on my BA
- I think there was another place where the OK/EXIT Button didn't work, but i can't remember where
I am very happy with this so far, thanks for your work, d-two.
A few problems accounted on my BA, maybe they have nothing to do with your ROM release, but perhaps someone can help.
After changing the SIM card or just taking out the battery and putting it back in the booting process stops at the 4 colored screen. "R" and "G" display "NONE", just the Device CE Image Version "D" says 5M6.5.1.Softreset doesn't fix it, I have to perform a hard reset, go into bootloader mode and clean the registry and format the storage (Enable KITL: NO, Clean Registry Hive: YES und Format Storage: YES). Now the BA will start up and boot the OS but I have set up all the settings, etc. again. Does someone know how to fix this?
A few general questions about installing apps on my BA.
I already know a bit about flashing and installing ROMs (debranded a t-mobile BA, etc.). First I wanted to have a relatively stable version of WM6 running before installing apps. Which apps should I install? I know I pretty much depends on what you want to do and like. ;)
But which apps are a must have. For example increasing stability/power of the BA. I have read a lot threads but it's a vast amount of applications people use.
I got the cabs from Helmi's release and the EXTROM from explode's release.
One last topic. I haven't merged EXTROM and storage yet. Should I do that? I know that WM5 and WM6 in contrast to WM2003 don't use non persisting memory for storing programs.
In the EXTROM on the BA are there are currently the old T-Mobile cabs lying around. Can I roll back the memory merging and split it again in case I want to downgrade to 2003?
I know that you can install cabs either from a sd card or from the EXTROM. Is it a good idea to put the cabs you like in the EXTROM folder, so they're executed automatically
via autorun.exe and cfg.txt after a hardreset? I'd like to do so, but I need to unlock the EXTROM first.
I tweaked the registry once with PHM Registry Edit to make the EXTROM visible (changing "MountFlags" key in the registry from 1 to 0) but this doesn't work with WM6.
I tried the xda-developers_Unlocker.CAB but it doesn't work. Tried unhide and then unlock. Error message tells me that ""unlockextrom" could not be opened.
It either hasn't a trustable security certificate or one of the components can't be found." How can I fix this and successfully unlock the EXTROM?
I hope to solve the problems with your help. Thanks in advance.
My BA:
- HTC BlueAngel PH20B MDA III (T-Mobile DE)
- Intel PXA263 Processor
- ROM WM6.5 Build 23004 German/Deutsches ROM V1.0 by d-two
- actually no cabs installed

i agree with chef tony, there is no bugs here, just some fixes in registry, every thing work fine, and it is very fast and stable rom.
@chef tony, there is a driver to make BA connect or sync. via vista(and i think it will be ok with windows 7),just update the driver of BA usb connection, then sync, BA with ur computer, then make ur BA on boot loader, then flash the new rom.:)
note: sometimes we r not sure it will run properly, but u can ensure by trying to flash the rom without make the BA on the boot loader, then u see the current info of the BA rom, if u see that ,when u make it in boot loader it will work.

I can handle a thread with a few posts that I cannot understand, but about 3/4 of this thread is in German! While I understand that there are a bunch of people with English as a second, third, fourth language (my second actually ;)), as pointed out by Chef, this forum is an English speaking forum. See the rules. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=260)
Please be courteous to others and write your posts in English. This makes the knowledge base of the site more user friendly.
@d-two,
Please make a note about this in the first post or something.
By the way, the builds 234xx which offers the newest os builds and the newest features are not as stable. On the other hand, the 230xx builds which offer the old os and old features are far more stable.

If you have Windows7 try this:
Reboot your system and press F8 key. Choose "Disable driver signing..." or something like that. After system boot up follow this step by step http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel_WM6_WizzardUpgrad e4_Vista
After flashing reboot again.
Tested on Windows7 x64 Biuld 7600RTM with Vista 64bit driver with current version WM6.5.1 beta Build 23052 (english/german)

For the R and G problem, i also have that sometimes. For me it is because my SIM card gets loose. If you don't feel like doing a hard reset, then taking your battery out and moving your SIM may help.

thx 4 your re, cmstackar. I know about the SIM-Card Problem. It somtimes happens with some other phones, too. It's because the SIM-Card is not properly inserted (has no contact to the metal pins), you're right. But in my case the SIM-Card is operating well, then I just remove the battery, put it back in and then the BA automatically does a hard reset and I have to completely set up the device again. So I don't even move the SIM a bit.

Missing out solitaire is a good thing for productivity...I guess...in my case. ;)
For me closing the wlan-manager with X was already in earlier version not possible. I thought, that this is the cause for the Exit-Button?

Actually, the problem that you are describing with the "None" instead of version numbers is widely known (and has been around since WM5). Basically, before you take out the battery, press the on/off button (to turn the device off) and wait for something like 10 seconds. Then, turn your device on again. Getting out of the "None" thing is as simple as doing a soft reset though.
Now, here is what you wrote regarding your issues:
NOT WORKING
- Close Button in wireless manager doesn't work, but you can exit using the hang-up button (as others have posted, too) confirmed
- Home Button to return to the start screen doesn't work on my BA the Home button will open up the Start Menu from any screen other than Today, which is pretty normal behavior except for the fact that the Start menu should open at Today as well
- I think there was another place where the OK/EXIT Button didn't work, but i can't remember where beats me :)
See my explanation above
A few general questions about installing apps on my BA.
I already know a bit about flashing and installing ROMs (debranded a t-mobile BA, etc.). First I wanted to have a relatively stable version of WM6 running before installing apps. Which apps should I install? I know I pretty much depends on what you want to do and like. there is no unique answer for this as it depends on your usage of the device.
But which apps are a must have. For example increasing stability/power of the BA. I have read a lot threads but it's a vast amount of applications people use.
I got the cabs from Helmi's release and the EXTROM from explode's release. there are some apps for overclocking the device but doing that will only drain your battery and you will not notice much of a change in using this. cleanRam is actually pretty useful to keep your device running at full speed.
In order to unhide, repart and clean the ExtRom that shipped with the device, you have to roll back to 2003, do all the pertinent changes there, and then upgrade to any version that you want. There are a bunch of advantages by doing this. For once, you get more free memory inside of your device. Second, the device actually runs smoother since it will not load all the crap from T-mobile (or whatever the carrier may be), which will make it easier on the memory consumption for the running programs. If you wanted to get all the stuff back, you can always reflash the stock rom.
As far as putting the cabs in a Storage card, in my opinion this is a must. In fact, since you will not have an ExtRom inside of your device trying to run every time you reflash (or hard reset) your device, this will allow you to create your own personalized ExtRom to run from the SD card, where you can install anything that is on your mind as well as preconfigure settings. I hope this helps.
Thanks for changing everything to English. You see? It paid off in the end since I was able to give you a hand with your issues :D. BTW, here is the tutorial to unlocking, unhiding, and resizing the ExtROm (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel_WM6_WizzardMain)

Hello,
i have a question: is it possible to change the 4-coloured screen and the splash screen to the original manufacturer ones and is it possible to change the phone's design to the original rom or add other pictures there?
1. no, it is not possible to change the 4-coloured screen to something different, this has been known since windows mobile 5. we learned to live with it.
2. about general picture changing, search for qvga dialer skins or open "pictures & videos" and go to the windows folder, there you see all the pictures that you can easily replace.

You do not need to create a new key. The reason why not a single one of you can find this is because neither of you read the post with the link that I left a few days ago. The entries for Owner, Input, and all the missing Settings are there. Once again, here is the link

actually, i found a tiny bug today: the notifications in combination with the large title bar
when i have a missed call and click anywhere in the title bar for the larger icaons to come up, instead of an icon for missed calls there is a battery with the number 21 in it, and instead of the sms notification, there is a battery with number 17 in it, screenshots below. can someone confirm that? it is not a big deal though, maybe someone have a look into it, and find out, which pics got mixed up?or maybe i can find the time to do it myself tomorrow.

Hello everyone.
Just registered because i noticed that the HTC task manager won't do its magic in this new ROM: programs are not really terminated when you press X. I suppose this is somehow related to the new interface...
Is anyone aware of a workaround for this problem?
Other than that (and the missing Settings that can be enabled in the registry), this ROM seems pretty nice and usable.
EDIT: The version i'm using is 2.1, build 34837.

Sehr gut gemacht!!!
I've found a few small problems. The IE button on the front of the device doesn't link to IE. If you link it, then reset, it is unlinked.
Also, I cannot seem to set up syncronization with my Exchange server on the device.
The ROM is fast, stable, and otherwise works very well.

Hi
any body want to avoid the problem of the shortcut hardware buttons, like IE or msg or any hardware button, just try to assign the buttons to another application then press ok,then return back to assign it again to the wanted application.
if the problem in IE button, just try to change its function from :setting>personal>buttons, then chose the IE button 5,change it to any other application, then ok, then again chose the Button 5 and chose Internet Explorer ,press ok,it will work without any problems.
u can do that for any related or similar problem.

hi,
i've been trying this rom for this two days and found something that makes me a bit difficult in using my installed apps because of the bottom bar is just too big.
app like im+ has some button in the bottom and I hardly push them because of the WM bottom bar.
do someone know how to resize the bottom bar, so that i can shrink it a little bit?
and also, how to adjust backlight in this rom? I found nothing to configure the backlight. Is there any registry changes that I should do?
also, i found my wifi to be always disconnected when the device get to sleep and re-connected when i wake up the device. I've configured my wifi power save mode to off, but it just like that, anyone experience the same thing?
btw it's great to see Windows Phone 6.5.1 work on BA^^

btw, since upgrading to WM 6.5 and WM 6.5.1, my BA power button sometimes cant be used to power off the device, also my volume down key sometimes error, make the volume goes lower and lower. so that I need to use remapping keys software to remap them. the only option, that would spring to mind right now is, to get a program to have an advanced configuration of the hardware buttons and set the ok button from ok/close to CLOSE. i know spb pocketplus could do that, but that is impractical and too huge to be used for this tiny purpose. maybe some regitry tweak can do the same thing, but i doubt that that would also work for the software x button. the problem with htc task manager is, that it would cause graphical errors because it would put an overlay at the TOP right corner, that was the glitch to be seen in many early wm6.5.1 screenshots.

@Chef,
You are partially right. I am using 23420 (and have used 23060) in my Fuze with a rom from herg. This comes equipped with Task Manager. The only catch is that you cannot see it, but if you press where it should be, it pops up. A smaller program for button configuration would be HButton (far smaller than SPB and useful for this kind of things).
I will try to install a version of Task Manager on my BA and will let you guys know how it turned out...
