I just started cooking Roms so dont be angry if something is wrong :P I have redone my kitchen and I have cooked a rom which I will use as a base. From this rom there will be made changes and improvements.

It seems the camera hardware button bug has returned in 1.3 NLD will upload a new fixed version tomorrow.

I agree with other posts please don't stop cooking, a lot of us are after these roms as intact as as MS intended as possible, I suspect people were waiting for the bugs to be fixed that you have reported in your other posts.

Thanx, but I am getting the impression that my roms arent used that much. I am not receving feedback as much as other rom cooks.

I am spending alot of time on cooking roms, fixing bugs etc. But it seems that it is not worth it.

I will continiou for now.

P.S: I still need someone to make screenshots of the rom with vSnap.

Currently I am testing an addon for the rom.

Try version 1.3 And report back, pherhaps the issues will be fixed.

- Word completion that must be the XT9 thingy right? Where can I turn it on so I can test it.

- The artemis is not the fastest or the one with alot of Ram so I think 100 smses could be to much to handle.

Well I really appreciate your effort. I will admit it is not the lightest rom, and maybe not the quickest which a lot of people are looking for, but it seems stable and I like the way it appears like an authentic MS build! I like the themes although I don't like any of the ringtones!

Emrulez you're roms are very good especially NLD-dutch versions.I'm using one and beyond allready known bugs they working great.No memory leaks,stabil etc.
1st rom bugs
phone canvas
camera button
2nd rom
same problems
phone does not recognize 4GB memory card
3d rom
I'm going to test it in a few days

I'm using version 1.2 NLD and today I set a alarm and locked the device (without code).
when the alarm went I was able to make it stop buy only by pressing the red phone button. the onscreen buttons didn't react. could this be solved or did I miss something ?

after that I'm not able to unlock the device again and I need to reset it.
btw from the roms I tested this one gave me the best performence till now.

Isee your right volume can be adjusted even when locked. This is done by MS.

I have now disabled SMS conversations so at least they appear in my inbox in the right order. However it is a shame that they can't group then sort by date as I do prefer using threaded conversations. I am a programmer by trade and something like that should be trivial! :)

Yep there is QuickGPS but no Icon :P You can add it manually untill I ahve fixed it.

an error... but found a solution..... visited marketplace.....installed Windows live...... during installation, it asked for username/ password...... installed..ok.

Yes thats right in 1.2.1 Marketplace has been removed because of some issues I had with getting the rom working.

Hey Emrulez, I'm going to flash your 23071 WWE in the next 15 minutes. I've been using my own cooked 23071, but I couldn't install any SIPs. Going to use your ROM till I get a fix. Do you have any idea where I could be going wrong?

Everything looks good for now, it's pretty fast and zippy. Installing fingerkeyboard to see if you too are facing my SIP problem. Other than that looks very clean and nice. Personally, you could get rid of Windows Live and Messenger, unless of course you use those apps regularly :)

I dont use Windows Live either others do I think, I dont even use my Artemis anymore :P Only for Rom Cooking for others :P

Which keyboard did you install? Finger Keyboard 2.1? I am currenty Using EzInput which you can see at the start post(Add-Ons).

I cant make a poll anymore so I can have people to vote if they want to keep it or not.

I havent tested XT9 but it seems to be working. I never use XT9. I could give you the cab if you want to test it.

Your right when you first turn it on its visible when you press OK it dissepears. I guess it issint compatible with WM 6.5 because its a OEM application if I am not mistaken.

Your right when you first turn it on its visible when you press OK it dissepears. I guess it issint compatible with WM 6.5 because its a OEM application if I am not mistaken.

Last Night I have trying to include the EzInput keyboard and something else(Suprise :P) Into the rom but I coudnt get it working, very unstable at the moment.

HomeScreen ++ is just some utilities written to allow you to see some statuses and overclock the phone. If you are using Titanium as this rom does you won't see anything!

To overclock you have to install, disable titanium enable overclocking on the today screen then reenable Titanium.

I think there are other ways to overclock but this one works for me :)

I'm testing the 1.2.1 version. It is very fast and reliable, good work! The only problem I encounter is that tapping the 'x' doesn't close programs, and as far as I know there's no setting for it. Furthermore, synchro time would come in handy and I can't find a shortcut for QuickGPS.

Edit: I used the 'buttons' option under 'personal settings' to assign task manager under the voice speed dial button, since it is not working. I'm using this now to close or activate programs.

The radio is there only no shortcut I guess.
Check the windows folder for FMRadio.exe. You can make your own shortcut if needed

well I can open the program but I cant change the personal settings (for the messenger). it wont log in and when I try to change the personal settings it send me to windows live which seems to have no options. could be a windows live problem also....tought someone here said he had to reinstall it to get it working.

What did you use for backing up data, perhaps Windows MyPhone (from the MS Marketplace)? I'm curious how well it works, it will do fine I guess but I don't wanna lose my data when flashing.

You can customize the today screen with CHome Editor if i am not mistaken.

If you arent an official rom maker, just do it at home, they dont feel to support. Thats all, but sometimes they should think, we need some donate to feel we made something what helped people. But we dont feel... I've got some supporter and thats why i continue my work. Every donate would be appreciated... Always the same people want to donate me, but where are the others? Its hard to see your work is not appreciated. but honestly would you feel any better if you get payed for it? cause if you get payed for it, it would mean you need to do it no matter what. now you can do what you want. off course you try to help as many as possible. but you can always decided which way your rom will go, and thats not possible if you get payed for it.
Some thing I noticed also is that its good to get feedback, but no feedback doesn't always mean its not appreciated. a lot of people download your rom and use it and never come back here again untill they find a bug or a problem. and most of them wont find that or wont even remember where they got the rom. but they are satisfied users, and you do your things for them also. the peolpe who say "thank you" are nice off course but after a while it always begins to sound forced. I noticed after a while I prefered people who told me where to improve things or said whats wrong, cause those comments I could do something with and when I fixed those things they where really glad, the others who just say thank you are nice but you forget them very quickly.

Personally I like this rom very much (and also yours shaddy but it was a bit to customised for my liking) and I would be very glad if you contiued working on it where possible. You probally have a lot of ideas you want to include in it and I thin you enjoy doing it. so please continue giving the communities these wonderfull roms.

don't think thats a good idea. a lot of people will probally be pissed about that cause they like the roms but dont want to pay for it. and because of that they will go for other roms cause they dont have that system, but then find out those roms are different and in the end they will probally end up with a bricked phone or something like that.

I thought it would be easy in the beginning but it is not. I was almost going to stop cooking, because nobody seemed to reply, give feedback. I am not asking people to pay for the rom. The only thing I want is people to show the appreciate my hard work, and that could be done for example with donations or any else ( be creative). help the rom maker with solutions or something.

I do have some Ideas but, as I wrote on the first page evreyone is allowed to make suggestions. I try to keep the rom as original as possible so I wont make any major changes. Currently I am not that motivated anymore also because I have some problems fixing this Bug in 1.4 WWE it takes allot of my time.

I got school I need to worry about......Driving lessons etc.

For creating shortcuts of programmas just copy the exe and go to the folder windows/Start Menu and paste it.

The closing is done by Microsoft, try Showcase suite which should work.

I've had the P3300 until about a year ago, then it dissapeared in the corner of my room because it was replaced by a TouchPro until yesterday. My girlfriend played a lot with my TouchPro and I told her *somewere* there has to be a P3300.

Fired it up and the battery was still 68% !! But it contained an English WM6.1 ROM and she wanted a dutch ROM, so about 15 minutes ago I flashed the phone with your ROM (V1.4) together with the radio 3.34.90 rom and she will give it a shot ;)

If she encounters something i'll let you know, but my first impression is good ;) On first boot after flashing it crashed on the bios-style bootscreen, but as usual after flashing a hard reset did the trick :) After it booted into windows it is looking like my TouchPro with energy rom, nice work!!

Why I consider stopping? I am very busy at the moment. I spend allot of time on rom cooking, instead of other things which are more important :p

And when I compare my rom to others..........:( I dont have as much feedback as I would like to have, I am almost always thinking of new things...
I need help from others to........... Other cooks get donations, more suggestions etc. More downloads, mine are not that high.

And I think my artemis is starting to fall apart :p

That is because it issint included in this build. Does it randomly freeze?

The diamond theme in my rom is a theme of microsoft if I am not mistaken. Pherhaps I can make a cab of it later.

I dont know if you can bind the powerkey to the lockscreen. search on xda pherhaps there is a sloution, dont think evreyone wants it.

You must have downloaded the standard edition, this one has the original windows mobile interface. If you ready closly you would have seen that the screenshots are not the right one, see below the picture.

try the manilla edition if youd like the interface of the picture

Ill see what I can do about IE, could you explain the problem again a bit more detailed? pherhaps with screens you could use vSnap to make em.

You can add your own skins if you dont like the cyrrent one.

I ahve both 0.2 M2D and 1.6 ready, needs a bit more testing and so on.
There fore I wont release them yet, I will edit the first posts with the changes etc.

Which version do you use? the M2D 0.1?

then yes tapping battery does nothing yet, also about closing will try to add HTC Task manager for that to work.

I only had shady to help me with some questions, never used his kitchen or his files.

I have no interest in creating a really light version. I dont think there is allot of request for it, and if there is there are other roms to try. Becausing having another version will be even more time consuming.

The unassigned icon will go away after soft resetting.

No it is not possible to patch the rom to another language. You will have to cook it into the rom.

I am not planning to make roms in more languages for now. If I do itt will take me more time. I dont think its worth it because I think my roms arent as popular compared to others

About version 0.2 of Manilla 2D version:

I am still sorting things out, I just found out that there are allot more packages needed to have M2D fully working. I am cooking these into the rom as we speak.

What does this mean: More ram usage. Also it seems that some essential packages for manilla arent working as good as it should on the artemis (different and older hardware)

So keep your fingers crossed. For now you guys can use 0.1.

Also I am not planning to upload new releases. I am not happy at the moment.

I know the Artemis isn't the fastest, but I don't think it has anything to do with that. The toolbar and the scrolling in the "Programs" are very fluent...

I guess the TD2 has a HTC custom dialer then.

If you want to have speed I would recommend the Stabdard version.
Besides a fast CPu the artemis also has lack of ram compared to newer phones like the TP2

I ju want to translate youself you will have to dump the rom yourseld and replace the files.


About my roms and there future:

Last week I have been trying to port htc mega packages and trying to get the manilla 2D working.

But I have come to a conclusion: The artemis simply hasnt enough ram and new hardware to run these newer packages without problems.

So I have decided to discontiniou my Manilla 2D version. I will see what I can do with the standard version, will have to revert some apps.

The difficulty of porting the packages issint the only reason why I have decided to stop with the M2D rom. I am getting more and more the feeling that my roms arent used as much and my work issint appreciated. Download numbers are low, I wont even begin about donatiosn, only one so far, no appreciation, no self search, I am getting the same questions over and over.

Pherhaps I should cook for my IPAQ only, I am really demotivated at the moment...............

this is an open source platform of people sharing their thoughts and ideas!
wherever there is anonymity people tend to be very "free"...
so, since nobody "owes" you anything here, my experience is only a few see the need to even adhere to the most basic socialization form: saying "thank you"!
in addition, over here in europe the big hype is all about them new touch-phones: meaning there are more and more changing their devices....and i could go on by saying there are plenty of roms to choose from ....etc.

to sum it up:
rom-cooking is an extremely time consuming event combined with a lot of personal identification.
this forum is seldomly in a position to balance this...and unfortunately, or fortunately, doesnt need to balance this: unfortunately for your feelings, fortunately for this is what a forum is all living off : giving !!!

just my 2 cents on philosophy this morning;)

I know, but It has cost me so much time and hard work. I am not even using the artemis anymore besides coking roms for others. I am more and more getting demotivated thats all I say. I only discontiniou the M2D version. And for I am taking a few days break, net to some other stuff. Pherhaps I will buy an htc hd 2 :p really need a new phone :p.

Update on the current situation:


I have decided to release a version 0.2 of the Manilla Version.
I already have a working NLD version only one that doesnt work is the WWE version.

I am also recooking after a break with my standard version.
