Im going to upgrade to Win 6.5 when its released so i was collecting the CAB's for the applications I have installed.

However I have some applications installed that I cannot find the CAB's for or they are now charging for applications that used to be free.

Is there a way to dump the applications off the phone back into CAB's ready to re-install after the new OS??

Cheers

If you could identify every file and registry value that goes with the application, it would be easy to build a .cab file from that. There are a few .cab file "packaging" programs around. I use Cab Manager (http://www.ocpsoftware.com/products.php).

SK tools (or the newer SK CABIntegr) does exactly what you want. You can re-pack any programs that appear in the installed programs list into cabs, and you can add custom files and reg values as well. It's easy to do (but you have to pay for either program). If you don't already have sk tools, it's pretty much a must-have program. If you do have sk tools, you may need to upgrade to the latest version to get the improved cab manager.
