Hello... Over the past few days, my ppc has been turning off all of a sudden despite the main battery still having enough charge. When I checked backup battery meter in settings, it was no longer there. Prior to that, I remember trying to flash my device with WM6 with no luck therefore I reverted back to the original WM5. And then a day or two after that, while at work, my phone charge was completely drained -- had a battery low warning for the backup/internal batt but it was already too late for me to charge the phone so it shut down. When I did charge it, while the main battery charged to 100%, the backup battery was no longer detected.

I was searching for a solution through the forum but found inconclusive results . I was thinking of replacing the backup battery however I'm not sure if there is indeed one to start with (nothing mentioned in Atom Wiki). O2 no longer has customer support and where I'm located I don't have access to PDA repair shops.

Even if O2 Atom Exec's battery life is known to be crap , I really love this phone and would like to keep it longer. I hope somebody can help me out...

If none of that helps perhaps itīs time to buy a new battery:eek:

Thanks for the reply, orb3000. Quite informative link. I've got no problem with my main battery (lithium), though. It's the internal/backup battery that I'm concerned about. I don't know why exactly it went missing. There used to be 2 battery meters in start > settings > power. 1 is for the main battery and the other one for the backup battery (internal). It's the backup battery that's no longer being detected. My lithium polymer battery is still working ok.

Oh and by the way, I very recently just flashed my ppc with N-Touch WM6 OS (absolutely awesome!). I noticed that the battery life is a lot longer now compared to how it was with the original WM5. But my backup battery meter is still missing :(
