And this time I present to you the MEGA ported ROM :D

It has WM 6.5 build 21857 (slightly better than the new COM 4 branches IMHO ;))

Packages from HTC MEGA include:

Mega M2D 2.0 (with flipping clock :D)
Mega CommManager
Mega TaskManager

NOTE:
This ROM is not the quickest ROMs around. Stay away if you want a clean ROM. This is for users who want to experience the cool TF3D like flipping clock on Artemis, thanks to the flipping clock now on M2D!!

Looks great and i understand that it does not support lots of RAM, but how much is it?

On Dheewatra's Rom Ive find only 10-12 mb of ram free which is too little.

To be honest I flashed my 6.1 base after checking if everything was working with this one and I didn't check the memory :o

If you are talking about the software, then no I don't :(

As for the M2D tab, I haven't tried to enable it through M2DC. You can try if you want, because I haven't edited the manila package. I'd recommend against it because footprints tab has a history of not working with our Artemis phones. The only time I got it to work was when I used the Iolite M2D package in my M2D 6.1 ROM. Even then the tab was still buggy :(

ok thanx for the quick reply, and i have just flashed ur rom looks amazing everything works great can connect to wifi but it doesnt work when i try to enable it through the comm manager, manila runs very smoothly but i cant seem to update the home screen weather other than those two things no problems at all, if u want me to check anything else let me know:)

The wifi from the Mega CommManager has a bug, that it does not activate it through the CommManager itself, it takes you through to the wi-fi settings page and you have to activate it from there. It's tedious but it's a known bug :(

As for the home tab weather, if you got to the Mega Manilla2D thread in D&H, there are a few location pased cabs that you need to install to make it work. Try it out. However, they don't seem to work anyway on CDMA phones, so if you're on CDMA you're unlucky :(

Can't flash with this ROM. When the flash process begins, after a few seconds it says the file is corrupted.

All it ends up doing is putting some asian girl as the background wallpaper. The rest stays the same :confused:

I downloaded and USPLed my 3300. Still that rom i downloaded doesnt install. I tried flashing good old manilla 4.01 and it installed perfectly so i suppose there is something wrong with the rom (maybe size?). I use windows 7 rtm.

PS: i just checked it. the nbh file is close to 75mb. Being a lil of a cooker myself i think artemis cant flash any larger than 59.99mb. If any other knows better please reply.

if you use cmon's spl u wont have problems with size.

Nice rom. Only bluetooth + wifi link in comm manager are broken. Hopefully you'll find a fix for that :)

Thank you :) The problem is in the MEGA commmanager itself. The only way to get rid of it is by using the old commmanager :( I'll get to that soon !

I totally like this MEGA version. I expected it to be much slower, but it's certainly fast enough for me to be usable everyday.
Is the 21857 you are using better then rtm 21234?

Download the cmon USPL from here. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=521406) It is a .nbh file. Put your phone into bootloader, and flash it like any ROM. Your SPL version will now read 1.11.cmon. You won't have the file corrupted problem anymore!

Download my ROM.

Unzip to folder.

Replace the.nbh file that came WITH MY ROM PACKAGE with the nbh file that comes in CMON USPL

Put phone in bootloader mode.

Flash the cmon nbh file with the RUU in the folder.

Process gets one within 2 seconds

Replace the cmon USPL nbh file with my original ruu_signed.nbh that came in the package

Flash through bootlader and RUU :)

OK it has been a complete day since i have used the ROM there is one major problem that need fixing right away:

1. When the power button is pressed and the screen goes out upon pressing it again to bring the display back from standby mode it doesn't seem to work there is no screen however the trackball and other buttons are illuminated and WiFi lights starts flashing but no screen...are there any setting for it that i might have disabled accidentally or is somebody else experiencing the same problem as I am?

Apart from this problem some others tht i have noticed are:

1. Apparently there are 3 Task Manager application, is there a way to remove them?

2. In the begining when I flashed the ROM the weather tab seemed to work fine as in showing the temperature in Celsius (which is by default) when when i restarted the phone and went to the weather tab it showed me temperature in Fahrenheit!! (although i've checked the settings and it says celcius there!! and also tell me how to fix the weather update on the Home screen below the clock.

Since you mentioned it yourself that this ROM is not for people seeking a clean version so the RAM doesn't seem to bother me that much. But I loved the flipping clock!! :) and the menu now have big icons which is really good. Please advise me on the above problems. Thanks

1. The resume from standby works perfect for me, I don't know why it's not happening for you :( Maybe reflash and after first flash do a hard reset. Maybe that will help.

2. Are the three task manager icons in your start menu? If so you can delete the shortcuts from windows/start menu

3. The home screen wewather needs the geo localization files which you can get in the Mega cabs thread in D&H. About the weather tab, I really don't know, it worked okay for me throughout :S Again a reflash with hard reset should help I guess

Bags of this rom (which i find):
1. От the home page of manila weather doesnt work an di can see the text 'tap to update weather', but on the weather psge the weather works
2. WiFi dont turn on from commanager
3. The settings / backlight doesnt works
4. Tapping on the battery icon in the top bar doesnt work.
5!! Its so little program memory <14 therefore when you start the big program (gps, opera or smth else) the manila turns off:mad:

so we need more program memory, i hope you will do beta 2 :)

The answers to your first two points are given in the previous few posts :)
Point 3 I will have to look into, I didn't check it so there could be a problem there. Tapping on the battery icon worked for me :(

About the program memory, I mentioned on the first post itself that this ROM is not for people who want a quick ROM, but only for those who want to check out the new MEGA M2D. Because of this M2D, with better graphics, and flipping clock the memory is low, We all know how much RAM the old M2D ate, so imagine how much this one would eat! Still I have tried to make it as roomy as possible by removing unwanted apps..IF I make beta 2, I'll probably remove the MEGA commmanager and try and tweak it a little, but I have no hopes.

Russian version will be in the pipeline, but not soon I'm sorry, very very busy with college work :( Maybe soon though :)

Firemountain, I see what you mean. I cooked another 21857 ROM, just for me only with M2D 1.2 installed, and yes, the tapping on battery doesn't work. If anybody here has a fix please let me know? Once I get this I might release a version 0.2 of this ROM :)
