Since there are so many out there, what is everyone's input on the best HERO ROM out at the moment?

I'm currently using HERO2 Freedom of choice.

Any better candidates?

They're all pretty much the same any more. Flash and try them out.

there are many versions of hero2..

the hero2 that pretty much works flawlessly is the 1.5.1

I am using the 1.51 w/ the 1.54 Freedom update.

I'm trying to see if there is anything better and faster.

Is Mlign's Hero any better?

then u are using 1.5.4 basically then

use only 1.5.1 dont upgrade.

I have MLIGN Pre 2.2 and i personally think it better than modaco

yea but the thing is. i am also including stability. theres no flash in pre2.2, and people search FC.

exactly..... 1.5.1 set the standard. and dont upgrade to 1.5.2+

i mean i really like MLIGNs, i am using it,but i have to say htc streaming media is not working ( clicking a youtube video in the browser and have it show up in the streaming media app) its pretty useful becuz imo i think the youtube app sucks for finding new videos for ur subs

BT does im sure on the actual HTC Hero

not on a G1 with a Hero ROM though...lol!


im using drizzys Blur-Hero-V1.5.7 with a class 6 8gb sdcard and as long as i dont go messing with it it works flawlessly for me!

1st Hero ROM i actually got that was stable enough for me and to to not get frustrated with...:eek:

Responding to the original thread topic, as repetitive as it may be, I recommend the Hero ROMs kingklick has been putting out. Faster than orig. MoDaCo 1.5.1, just as stable, if not more. Biggest difference is time to open apps. There is a very noticeable improvement. You can use themes by lycoln if you so choose.

lol. Yeah, mine works 100%, too. Weird that so many are having problems with bluetooth. I mean, devs always mention that their Hero ROMs' BT works just fine...

I have MLIGN Pre 2.2 and i personally think it better than modaco

I am running MDHERO 1.6... its better and faster than MLIGN... I got rid of that ROM... ha ha ha.

the kingklick rom is not even as stable as 1.5.1. not at all. kings rom uses BFS,this will make apps run faster, but lag rosie and practically destory it overtime.. and ppl still FC when search.

hey brian, maybe you should just put use hero2 1.5.1 in your sig, since people cannot read and do not understand what real stability is over opinion and using a rom for 20 minutes and saying it is amazing and fast.

well i really like the blur animations lol. i havent taken the time to extract all the blur files and push it to 1.5.1. when i say all... i mean everything that changed the red to lime green. the red is an eye sore on a white phone. i currently running MLIGN 2.4.5 and see what i can do with that when i get home.

In my opinion JacHeroSki 2.2 is the fastest and best Hero Rom out there. You can also chose your Rosie Color with Rosie Color Changer. I currently have the blue Roise.

wifi works on most roms.....and for the millionth time....NO bluetooth does not work on hero roms

Seriously, the most stable and fastest hero rom i have tried (have tried them all) is kingks 1.6 with lycolns Blacked out (i call it black rosie lol), it is much better than he versions 1.2 through 1.4, though the speed has always been worth it to stick with king.
