Hi. I'm new here and don't really know too much about the WinMo stuff... but I like its potential, so I'm getting the Tilt 2 when it comes out soon.
Just wondering, does the accelerometer work for picture viewing, browser and msging? I tried turning the Pure around in the store and for some reason it wasn't changing views.

I got my tilt 2 last week and the screen does change with internet explorer and opera when you turn it sideways. It doesn't work with photo viewing. The photos will automatically orient as landscape or portrait depending on how they fit best. With messaging the screen only changes when you slide out the keyboard. I have used the original tilt for 2 years and I would have kept using it for much longer but the screen was messed up and I didn't want to buy a new screen only to find that it might be a flex cable problem or something else. So far am disappointed with the phone. I liked how the tilt seemed more like a computer while the tilt 2 is more like an I-phonish toy. The on off button on top of the phone gets pushed while its in my holster. I used to give my tilt a quick partial keyboard slide to turn it on to check the time but this one requires a full opening to turn it on so i tend to have to find the flush button on top and press it with a fingernail. i really miss the D-pad and the scroll wheel. The tilt had so many ways to input but the tilt 2 is very limited. You have to scroll up and down with the touch screen and sometimes end up selecting something inadvertently. If I would have never had the original tilt I would be impressed with this phone but it seems like it's a step backwards. I also have an external gps antenna for the tilt that plugs in the back of the phone and mounts on the roof of your car with a magnet. There's no plug for it on the tilt 2. The tilt 2 's screen is impressive though with its higher resolution and larger size.
