Telus has just announced that they will be offering the iPhone starting next month. Since Telus is essentially Canada's Sprint, would it be possible to activate a Telus iPhone on the Sprint network in the US?

Sorry, answered my own question. Telus operates on both GSM and CDMA, the iPhone will be released on their GSM (HSPA+) network. I thought maybe they were releasing a CDMA version...guess I have to wait to see if Verison gets the iPhone when AT&T's exclusivity expires.

I was reading the specs of the phone and it seems to be coming out with both.
These are the actual specs:
UMTS/HSDPA (850, 1900, 2100 MHz), GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
Doing some research the first set of codes and numbers seems to correlate to what sprint network is.

Unfortunately, no. Sprint runs on a CDMA (digital) network, while the first and second set of spectrum are all GSM (analog).
