Found that somewhere else on the net:

* First boot nyour phone without a sim
* Then type *7465625*638*unlock code#
* Your phone now should respond with a confirmation message.

Could not try myself, however, my i8000 still to arrive.

* Then type *7465625*638*unlock code#This code is unique for every device. Are you sure you know unlock code for YOUR i8000?

Is it possible to unlock the device at home (flashing?) Some online shops sell unlock codes for this device so it must be possible to get the code.

Hello:

I'm interested in to unlock OMNIA II flashing or searching code without purchase one.

Please, if anyone have information I agree that we know.

Is it possible to unlock the device at home (flashing?) Some online shops sell unlock codes for this device so it must be possible to get the code. Some people (for example, Samsung Customer Service Centres employees) may have access to service unlock code generators (or database). But I think nobody will share the code generation algorithm:D
I'm interested in to unlock OMNIA II flashing or searching code without purchase one.I think it's impossible, at least yet.

I don't know where to get the unlock codes, but once you get one, you type the following string into your phone and it will allow you to input your unlock code:

#7465625*638*# - input it just as you see it, then a box will open asking you for your network key - 8 digits unlocking key. If you have the right key, your Omnia 2 will now be network unlocked. Most providers only have a network lock. If you want to see what is locked on your phone, type the following string and it will tell you what is locked on your Omnia 2:

*#7465625# - this will list the five locks and show you what is locked. As for the other locks, I can't tell you much, just google them and see what google tells you.

I want to buy this phone from Bell Canada. Before I buy it, I want to make sure than someone can unlock the phone.

Someone told me that

Go to the registry, HKCU\System\State\PHONE, and wrote down the first 6 digits of the value of the IMSI entry.

1. type *7465625*638*# to set
2. type the first 6 digits of the value of the IMSI entry here.
3. type your new NCK (12345678), then OK
3. type *#7465625# to check your lock (network lock still enabled)
4. type #7465625*638*# and type your NCK (12345678)

Please post here if you are success to unlock

I also used the method of using IMSI to unlock Omnia 2 but it doesnt work for me though I have already used the same method to unlock Omnia i900 before and it worked well. My omnia i900 was locked to SFR France and now I have Omnia 2 that is also locked to SFR. But this IMSI method worked for me only with Omnia i900 not for Omnia 2.

Still waiting for some one who can give a breakthrough in unlocking Omnia 2.

. . . . please post the method if worked for you to unlock your omnia 2 . . . .

Did they provide one code or 2 codes?

Thank You

Hi thanks for your help.
i tried using the files and method to unlock my omnia 2 i8000L
and when i enter the MCC/MNC and the 12345678 NCK
i get the message "you entered incorrect password or MCC/MNC".

I am positive i entered the correct values and i tried multiple times. but it didn't work i am on canada Bell network.
So if you have any other trick up your sleeve to help us unlock the phone let me know and i will try it.

thanks

Bell Omnia 2's require 2 unlock codes. They only provide after you've been subscribed for at least 1month and pay $70. There is no other unlock solution for Bell Omnia 2's. All other i8000 users can pay those online places for an unlock code.

thanks Killvino,
for the information. I know bell can get it done but at 70 bucks i think its just too much money. worse of all its not instant like other places you have to wait for like a month.
So if there are things to try i would love to use my phone as "lab rat" for those test.
So like i said i am still open to other methods for unlocking it. so anyone have a trick bring it up and i will try it.
cheerssss!!!!!!!

Once you have had the phone for a month, you call and get the code(s) immediately. It retains warranty and works like a charm.

Bell Canada, uses two lock keys on the Samsung Omnia II's. Since they are the exculusive provider of the the Omnia II in Canada and the Olympics are here in Canada right now and it happens to be the official phone of the Olympics ~ short version: Bell knows the phones are in demand...

Yes, Bell will provide the unlock codes for the phone for $75 under the condition you have had the phone more than 30 days. In Canada, a contract can be disputed within the 30 days and also the phone dealers here will allow for a full money back return during the first 30 days. Basically, this is Bell's way of making sure that people are not buying the phone, finding out how to unlock, reverse an unlock generator, and finally return the phone for their full money back.

Follow the steps here exactly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3T7A1eG21Qc

you will need to purchase a 20$ credit from fast GSM. Download the drivers and make sure you use the FastGSM_OMAP.exe and not the FastGSM_S3G.exe or the FastGEM_AGERE.exe. I couldn't find the OMAP one originally but then had it sent to me by their support.

These guys are AWESOME!

You better download it directly from FastGSM (http://www.fastgsm.com/en/page/download). You still need to purchase credit to be able to use this software.

how do get it unlocked from bell, if i'm not a customer? if anyone can get a way to unlock bell's samsung omnia 2, i will pay 50 dollars

You can unlock I8000 Omnia II from Bell at FastGSM (http://www.fastgsm.com/en/samsung/samsung/samsung-i8000-omnia-ii/unlock-code). They support all lock levels and it works via USB cable only.

hello,
i saw that you have success to unlock your omnia 2.
can you please describe me how you do it exactly?
on which operator were you netlocked?

at step 2 you have to configure your operator, but which operator? the operator you were netlocked or the operator which you need? how many numbers you typed in?

does the phones hard resets automaticly or should i do it manually?
can you use now all simcards?

i hope you can help me.
thx!

My operator is Telefonica Movistar. I do what you say and I select Spain and Telefonica. The OK and nothing happens. If i select Spain and another operator (for example Vodafone) then I receive a Message: To apply the new configuration, device will be formatted. Continue? I answered OK and my device was formatted but it is not sim-unlocked :(

FASTGSM is Good.
I have used it too. Easy, simple and pretty inexpensive. . Just $20

Dont waste your time and money elsewhere.
There is no Other way to unlock the samsung omnia 2 apart from paying for the code.

If it doesnt work you can try another method. You can get the unlock codes from TheUnlockSpot.com (http://www.theunlockspot.com/samsung-i8000-omnia-ii/rs10wp9/) by selecting your mobile information such as mobile , model, network and country. Follow the instructions given by them and the mobile will be unlocked.
