View Full Version : Anyone know why I can't flash an official ROM?

My dash stopped working awhile ago and I had no luck restoring it. Just got it out a couple days ago and have been trying to restore it again.

It is a T-Mobile Dash (don't know how to tell if it's the 620 or 621). On the back, under the battery it is labeled as EXCA100, the battery says EXCA160. Could that have something to do with my problems?

The error I get is [Error 300 - Use a newer update utility]. I have tried every T-Mobile ROM I could find on the internet with no luck, they all give this error (I also tried some non T-Mobile ROMs to no avail).

So, what I am asking is has anyone had this happen to them or does anyone know which ROM I need to use?

Also, a hard reset does not work. If I try to do a hard reset the screen goes completely green and then slowly fades to white and then to a dark gray. The HTC logo is faintly visible on the gray screen.

Have you tried flashing your the Bootloader way. There a Tutorial on how to do that in the sticky at the top of the first page. Remember, always remove your SD card before flashing any ROM.

Good luck
