I have spent a lot of time getting all the pieces of this ROM together i have re-skinned some
of the apps so it all comes together this version is about Finger Friendliness so that you
can use your stylus less and use your fingers more

Please follow these instructions if you want the Today weather to work

1/ Install the ROM as usual hard reset after successful flash
2/ When the phone first boots an error will appear to do with weather morts blah blah just click ok and ignore this Message.
3/ Goto weather tab and setup for your Home weather if yours is not in the list use weather Cities editor in the tools folder.
4/ Next goto tools folder and run mortscrip (double tap icon)
5/ Restart your device it will the boot and the Today screen weather will be showing and working

I think that you have your Prophet connected with to Active sync with the USB cable!?

Hi Wap!

I have now flashed your latest ROM and have som minor problems.
The clock doesn't update correctly. After the minutes changes the minute markers change on the screen but right after that the minute digits disapear and the field gets white. If I change tab the minute digits come back but only until the minutes are updated again. It seems like every action triggers the digits to show, starting an app and the close it and the digits are back.
I tried to make a screen capture bt that also triggers the digits to come back.
I took a picture with a shitty camera and included the picture.

The weater function on the today scren doeasn't work, even though I choose a city from the list and ran the Mort script. It even disabled the touchflo for some reason. I had to make a hard reset to get the touchflo back. The weather tab functions like it should and shows the weather.

Any suggestions!?

Other than that it's a very fast ROM for having so many apps and functions!:D

Your icon is inactive because you are connected to active sync try disconnecting then trying wifi it works i have been testing this ROM for a while now :rolleyes:

I find it hard enough to try to get these roms working and released without wasting more time uploading half finished projects that's why i wait release then fix problems if needed ;)
But judging by the last release this build has a good track record so this new version should be pretty trouble free :cool:

i had only a few minor bugs..
The biggest is that on manila, doesnt start internet explorer from the tab when i push on launch browser..
I only could start internet explorer going through start/programs/conection/internert explorer...
Could you say where is pointing the manila tab launch browser and i will try to copy there the internet explorer executable there??...
i have same problem on The clock on home, it goes to blank when have to change and dont return until i push some button than suddenly appears..
And some times when refresh goes to meridian hours, and after a second come back to my setting +1 hour Paris, Madrid....

After several changes in wm6.5 especially changes for the top & bottom bars. For me it is "ugly". So, i am going to stick with wm6.1, especially because we have continuous support from ROM gurus, like w@pvirus.

well you must understand that this is a new version of Manila 2D with some of the 3D features like a cross breed of 3d and 2d and so there will be bugs and glitches,
These will be sorted in time but don't be afraid to have a go what's the worst that can happen a hard reset ,most or all of the problems with this version of Manila are reg settings that need to be changed to make this fully working on our device ;)

Just wish i could help but with no working device i am out of the picture for a while :(

Great info, i arranged the internet explorer now works great from the manila tab...

Now i'm trying to change the date position, but unable to found the correct place...(i would like to put it on the right off the "operator name")

As for customizing the HTC Home Settings I see from screen shot that you have moved the date but you have lost the alarm that could have stayed in position and missed call replacing date position ;)

Not sure if you noticed but this version works in portrait mode it just needs repositioning to fit the screen but i managed to fix launcher Tab some others work others not :)

And sometimes when i have missed calls, i take out the enhanced notificiation(looking if are a hurry up missing call), and continue working with the phone, and after sometime i look the missed calls to call (i'm getting older and my mind goes down, i need to seee the missed calls on home to remember that i have missed calls..
And with enhanced notification i have some troubles due to my operator name (as you can see on the screenshoot as always a triangle on enhanced notification and i think its due to bad name operator (because it apears as soon as the phone gets the operator name and coberture)...

And maybe is because i like the look of the call history/missed calls and calendar icons on home...

And yes I love the rom :)no major issues to complain about :D:D:D and by the way can I change the keyboard layout to phone pad? The problem is that I followed the instructions and I can still not see the weather on the today screen.
First, I tried to add my non existing city, but it didn't work ( I kind of expected that one.)
Secondly I added the capital of Sweden (Stockholm) as my weather city in the weather tab. I then ran the mortscript file and resetted my device and the today screen still doesn't show any weather.

What am I missing in the instruction!?.:confused:
As I understand it, if you add an existinmg city in the weather tab, run the mortscript and then resetts the device it should work!?

Very strange your weather is not working can you try adding some other places to weather tab

once again update your weather tab in Manila goto tools run the mortscript then restart and weather should work

did you hardreset after first flash ?

can you go to tools folder and see if ezinput settings works as that uses mortscript and if the menu pops up then we can establish morscript is working

can i also ask have you changed the regional settings ?

I don't have any thing against letter recognizer lol it's disabled by ez-input 2.1 why would you want 1.5 when 2.1 is included in thi ROM :confused:
To change the keyboard layout or settings go to programs\Tools and run ez-input settings :rolleyes:

The weather icon on today will only update if you update weather Tab as our device has to take weather from weather tab ,

The correct way was for weather today to update independently but this requires the device to have GPS inbuilt and prophet does not have this so some clever dude worked out a way of getting it working from weather tab so devices without GPS could still benefit from this version of manila :)

I posted a fix before for you to get letter recognizer working use the same fix ;)

More news, i arranged all things and now for choose the alarms and date i have to push over date (on the right of the operator name), Now i have a clean space just upper the calendar for call history/missed calls, but comparing the htchomesettings.xml with the old htchomesettings.xml from non weather version, and they are the same on missedcalls (only changed a little the coordenates to display), i'm lost and dont know what i could do..
Will have to read so much info on it...

It works really fast and stable, but everytime I switch on my Prophet Activesync is active.....is opened.....
I installed QuickMenu as a WinMenu ant I have on the check 'Close Activesync when disconnect PC' but everytime I open QMuenu in Running Tasks Activesync Is opened anothertime......


Can I close really Activesync? Why It starts itself?? my mobile was in my pocket all the day.......?¿?¿

More news, i arranged all things and now for choose the alarms and date i have to push over date (on the right of the operator name), Now i have a clean space just upper the calendar for call history/missed calls, but comparing the htchomesettings.xml with the old htchomesettings.xml from non weather version, and they are the same on missedcalls (only changed a little the coordenates to display), i'm lost and dont know what i could do..
Will have to read so much info on it...

But to be honest with you i think that these changes are more than just XML coordinates and are changes to the Manila.exe that means no chance :eek:



It works really fast and stable, but everytime I switch on my Prophet Activesync is active.....is opened.....
I installed QuickMenu as a WinMenu ant I have on the check 'Close Activesync when disconnect PC' but everytime I open QMuenu in Running Tasks Activesync Is opened anothertime......

The version of QuickMenu included in the ROM works fine with wifi i use it all the time just some times don't launch on first click this is sill never mind :rolleyes:
But i must tell you you have installed Ram sweeper please make sure that you add Camera Loader.exe to the non closed apps list as this app controls camera drivers and if it is removed the camera wont start and you will get a error ;)
I don't want to tell you how to run your device but QuickMenu has hibernate which does exactly the same as Ram sweeper :rolleyes:

When i see that my memory goes down quickly look on running task, and always found active sync and audio com manager, i close them, and after few moment active sync start alone again...and some times start audio com manager alone too.

I don't have any thing against letter recognizer lol it's disabled by ez-input 2.1 why would you want 1.5 when 2.1 is included in thi ROM :confused:
To change the keyboard layout or settings go to programs\Tools and run ez-input settings :rolleyes:

The weather icon on today will only update if you update weather Tab as our device has to take weather from weather tab ,

The correct way was for weather today to update independently but this requires the device to have GPS inbuilt and prophet does not have this so some clever dude worked out a way of getting it working from weather tab so devices without GPS could still benefit from this version of manila :)

I posted a fix before for you to get letter recognizer working use the same fix ;)

Tried the fix....worked like a charm. Just hate the fact that I cant have both letter recognizer and phone pad layout. Thats why I wanted Ez-input 1.5 guess old brooms know the dirty corners:)

2.1 has phone pad layout you need to go to tools folder and run ez-input settings from there ;)

No prophet ROMs support wpa2 there is a wpa2 fix on this thread but it don't wonk with some ROMs you will have to try it ;)

You must update the weather on the normal weather TAB in manila set to your location and update when the manila tab is showing weather you have completed the first step

Next click Start\Programs\Tools there you will see Mortscript double tap that to run it a message will appear telling you that .mscr and .mortrun extension are registred

Restart your device it will the boot and the Today screen weather will be showing and working

My Prophet hangs on the tri-colored screen, after the ROM-update says everything is completed. Now I'm going to try Bikertibi's 23506 build, which worked well before.

And another thing - i'm desperately trying to make the audio manager play in standby mode - I tried editing the windows media player registry as mentioned in another thread, i also tried setting the enter_suspend registry of the AudioManager to 0. Both times the result is that the player does play in standby, but after a few minutes playback stops for a moment, then continues, and after it does this for a couple of times stops completely. Anyone know what could be the reason, or better, how to fix this?

I tried the fix but it still isn't working, no playback in standby.. I also noticed another thing - i thought i got the weather working on the home tab, however, the information doesn't update. I have to restart the device in order to show the current weather info, otherwise it only shows the info from the last update before the restart...

For weather to update i think you need to allow it to auto update, touch weather on today screen to bring up settings ;)

Errrrrrr the exe for locking :eek: you will have to install a lock control app as it's not there :eek: Sorry didn't notice that as i just suspend my phone then it's locked anyway ;)

When you flashed the qtec ROM this is the recovery ROM so you have removed HARD SPL so did you re apply the hard spl ?
If yes have you tried to flash a different ROM with lazy tool ?

I would say that your hardspl has not taken properly try re applying it have you tried Bikertibi Prophet Upgrade 2.2 this can do the hardspl then flash your ROM

Please explain more what you mean as your description is a little unclear :confused:
Map search only works if you install google maps i don't include it in the ROM as it is a spy and also the software i is constantly updated

As far as I know the answer to both your questions is no I will look into the clock option but the font colour can't be changed in version 1 and the weather can't be removed ;) but i am sure version 2 has other clocks they just need fixing i will look into this for you if it,s not a complete nightmare ok :)

It's me again. I found a quickfix for the font problem in your first 3D Look. Just edit the hh_people_frame.png in the windows folder and add a white background. Doesn't look very nice but at least you can read the names of the contacts. But I still can't get rid of the weather plugin in the home tab.

It's not a font problem just a colour but the changes are in the manila.exe so unchangeable but in version two htc have sorted the problem i am working on optimizing the Manila to make it run faster on our device ;)

thax so much for your ROM it is just great!! Never would have thought that the touchFlo would work so fluently on the Prophet! Really I am amazed!!

I hope that the next rom will not have bugs. Previously I had TouchFlo 3D Look I, there is the same bugs:

- 5 minutes after listening to music, pda turns off, auto ,,turn off" in power settings- is off.

-a volume control is hopeless, it has delays.

- Map Search doesn't work.

I have been running this ROM for a while now and as for the Audio Manager standby problems i can't find a fix i have tried several different reg settings but none will work ,So my suggestion is to move on to a ROM with a older version of Manila as this is the latest and still has bugs that need sorting out i have posted many times that this forum is for development and you will find problems in these builds some can be fixed others can't and if you really like the ROM then learn to live with them or help find the solutions ;)
As for me not posting that Maps don't work i also never posted that they do work i always post in Post#1 a clear list of what is included in the ROM this is so that you can see what is included and what is not ,If it's not in the list then it's not in the ROM :rolleyes:

OK i was feeling generous so i have made a cab file to do the job for you ;)

Just install the cab file restart then IE can be launched of the tab using dpad :)

Ok it wont connect to wpa2 not supported but wep works just fine i can connect to my home and my neighbours wpa/psk just fine :confused:

Have you installed any applications to do with wifi switching scanning ect... as i am thinking it's something you are doing wrong or a second party application interfering with connections

I am still running this ROM daily on my prophet and I update the weather and emails on a daily basis mine working fine :confused:

check your PM

ok i have worked out how to have 24hr clock goto settings\Regional Settings -select the clock tab in the time style box change from HH:mm:ss to H:mm:ss then reset your time will be 24hr

as for the keyboard that ROM uses ez-input v2.1 so search for language files for that version and all should work fine ,Also if you install the rotate clock as it runs really smooth

Do you plan a wm6.5 version for "TouchFlo 3D Look II" ? May be that will fix the volume control lag that makes useless the the volume button on device.
And some integration between the theme and the HomeScreenPlus would be great. I am holding my breathe :)

Firstly thanks for your feedback I can no longer cook for Prophet as i no longer own one so i can't test the cooked ROM so my suggestion would be to have ago your self or try Xsite_01 as he has some interest in Manila ;)

Have you tried wjfi monster see if that keeps connected it's freeware search xda for latest release :)

this my problem. my wi-fi dont work, even with shadow 2.0 rom. i turn on wi-fi, it works, so i search connection ( named msi and apple), when i try to connect it starts connection but then it turns off and then connection is unavailble. pls help i spent whole week searching for some fine rom i like this and im tierd of reading all posts searching for solution. any suggestions?\

Ok the taskbar is a matter of opinion I personally hate the standard white icons this is why I modded them and you are the first to ask for them to be removed ok they can't just be removed as they were lovingly cooked into the ROM :D
But what i can do is make you a cab file to overwrite them with the standard icons this will change the start icon,Taskbar icons,wait cursor all to windows standard boring 6.1 :p

Run cab file if it does not reset then soft reset after install for new icons to take affect

ok the camera does work please take the time to read post #1 for instructions on proper camera use in this ROM ;)

as for the weather update i removed it because it didn't work but if you are using the ROM and realy need to add custom cities i will look into a fixed version please PM me ;)

This ROM is a fully working as i was running it every day before i sold my prophet and even though i don't have one any more i am still trying to offer support and updates for this ROM ;)

if using windows7 try disabling windows firewall then connect if it works then you will need to add an entry to the firewall rules ;)

This ROM is for HTC Prophet: JAMin, XDA Neo, S200, SPV M600 only if you try to flash this ROM to your device it will brick it the only way to have this ROM is to cook it for your device :rolleyes:

OK i have found what was causing the issue with the audio manager it's to do with the standby settings causing conflicts ,
I am trying to make a cab file to remove the conflicting reg keys :)
