So, I have read many places that the Android OS can be "installed" onto the HTC Tytn II (it's not the Tilt). I have been to www.androidonhtc.com, this forum, and many others and only found ONE thread that some guy said "Alt+w" and "Alt+s" worked... ok, glad it worked for you buddy... but there's no "Alt" on the Tytn II. Oh? It's the Fn key? Yea, I tried that.

I have tried many different combination of files and many different configurations of the default.txt file. I have a 4GB microSD card that has all the files (I'm guessing) that http://www.androidonhtc.com/installing_android told me to put on. I have modified and double checked the boot options here: http://www.androidonhtc.com/boot_options . I've stayed up all night the last few nights (ok, I did sleep a couple hours.. yea, no joke) trying to get this thing to work and am getting rather frustrated.

Has nobody else had this issue? Or am I just getting too upset to see the obvious answer? Either way, I need a fresh perspective. Thank you so very much! ^_^

After 30+ hours, I finally have the apps screen up but no data access yet.
I will go over what I think finally worked for me. I went to http://www.androidonhtc.com/kaiser/latest_builds

I used base files dated 11/16/09 and Android 1.6 dated 11/14/09. Note for other users, turn off file conversion in active sync.

Extract and copy base files including two directories to root of SD card. Rename system-droid-ion-r2.sqsh (Android 1.6) to system.sqsh and copy to root of SD card.
Delete default.txt and renamed default-kaiser.txt to default.txt.

On device run haret.exe, click yes to security warning, click run leaving default.txt.

After a few minutes of staring at ANDROID, I saw the little green android to touch.

I hope this helps.
