Hi bikertibi.. the esmertec jbed still has that problem with passwords like in 23071 SP2.. I noticed you've updated it to a later version.. the older versions you used to include worked well.. but not the newer ones it seems..

Also love that you've included finger keyboard... saves me the trouble of installing it afterwards.. BUT.. I still gona install seperately because the version you've included seems lacking in customisation ability

I can't imagine how long you spend time to cook ROMs.
You make a very job (really) cooking ROM but we don't need 2 or 3 new ROMs a week.
Please read other threads, stay informed of new ROMs and bug fixes and *when you decide* there is a milestone and a ROM looks to be stable enough, cook and maintain a good ROM.
Some says 1 ROM every month, personnaly I even prefer a ROM every 3 months if it has SP1, SP2 ... every month.

But please don't stop. Your ROMs meet perfectly our need.

- The file "FngKbdConfig" cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.
- Error opening cfg dialog
- There are no options for the selected input method.
And, I can't use FingerKeyboard
How can I fix it?

Bikertibi has "optimized" the keyboard.. its customized the way bikertibi likes it.. and everything else including the cfg dialog is removed.. if you want to have access to the options you'll have to install finger keyboard seperately using the cab files in the finger keyboard thread.. then everything will be fixed

You should think more about this issue because this is a international forum, so there are many people from many countries come here. But there are few person who can built Rom or have knowlegde about technology as you. All users of Prophet are interesting with your work and your Rom. If we can built Rom by ourselves, that's perfect. It's not realistic. We still need your Rom and your helps. I think you don't need to built Rom fastly, you should have more time to release a Rom no bugs, no problems. I'm using your Rom (WM6.5_23001_bikertibi_sp1), I think it's stable than some new Rom recently.

I live in Spain and my language is spanish. I don't write anythink in the forum because my english is not very good.

BUT

I help to all my friends in spain not only whith the prophet rooms. The result is the people asking and asking me.

Your work is apreciated by the comunity but in the comunity there are several types of people and only a few user post anythink abut your work, and some of this ask about problems.

Hi eXtacy.. I take the liberty to respond to you and hope Bikertibi does not mind me doing so..

1. Everyone here has different opinions on what apps should be included in a ROM.. but because our Prophets are limited on memory and storage space it is impossible to meet everyone's demands.. Some people think a specific music player may be better than the native player for example.. So its best to create a "generic" ROM where people can add the apps they prefer afterwards to suite their individual tastes..

2. The builds for most of the wm6.5 ROMs are all test builds that have been leaked to public and thus it is very likely that they may still contain some bugs so to make a ROM filled with apps is alot of work involved and may all be for nothing if there is a major problem.. Every new build potentially fixes the bugs in the previous build and porting a build to work on our inferior devices is a difficult task on its own..

3. There the different subcategories within these leaked wm6.5 test builds.. Bikertibi has spent alot of time and effort to port each of these for us to decide for ourselves which one is best for our devices.. These categories are known as COMs.. do understand though that these are each still test builds and it may not be practical to load it with apps if it will be replaced with a new ROM in a few weeks(days in some cases)..

4. While you may ask for more apps.. there are people who have asked for less apps.. Thus for most of Bikertibi's Build Ports he does extra work to release 2 or 3 ROMs (a normal, clean, and extra clean ROM).. Bikertibi affords us the opportunity to personalise our ROMs for ourselves the way we like it..

5. Bikertibi does not build the ROMs for our attention but builds it for himself and is kind enough to keep it generic and release it to us so everyone can enjoy.. and at the moment I believe he is concidering taking a break from us so please let us not pressure him any further..

No offence taken. I think I should elaborate my point and answer you at the same time.

1. Yes indeeds apps are a personal preference. But a fully loaded ROM with alot of extras alongwith a clean one would not hurt.

2. Yes I know these are leaked builds. Thing is, a bit more testing and releasing what is the best builds amongst the ones out would be better dont you think ? Plus I see many SP 1/2s etc. A bit more testing, tweaking and release one solid rom would certainly get peoples attention.

Im not pressuring him. Just suggesting what would get more attention. I remmeber using Onyxs ROMS on my HTC Touch. Reason I opted to those were that there werent as many updates to them, a nice host of features and most importantly a lot of testing before it was released.

RIght now a flood of ROMS 23069/71/81 along with the Service Packs ... 23502 (Which im currently using, has quite a few bugs sadly) is more confusing rather than helping.

This is a problem with the later versions of the Esmertec jbed.. as yet noone knows why this happens as far as I know.. Search for "Cloudyfa's jbed" and install it over this one.. Cloudyfa's jbed is much older version but guaranteed to work

I used your second 's rom. This rom is very fast. But I have some problem.When I install the language program (Thai-G) , the connectivity have some problem which no have signal of connectivity and when I see it ,the message is "There are no data sessions active.Programs connect automatical as needed." I have already checked in setting of connectivity and it is ok. I also tried to uninstalled the language program but it is still have this problem although it was uninstalled.

PS. The connectivity somtimes had some signal when I close and open again in phone function. But no have signal normally especially when I reboot pda.

Please give me some solving problem.

I switched to 23088 from 23506 because of the internet explorer bug in 23506..

I usually reinstall finger keyboard over the cooked-in keyboard so I can customize it to my needs.. but in this 23088 after the reinstall it tells me it cant load the skins for my screen resolution and then Im stuck with no finger keyboard at all.. I've checked the finger keyboard folder directory and the files did install fine.. this is weird because its the same QVGA cab file i've used on all of your previous builds..

any suggestions Bikertibi? I'd really like to customize the keyboard to include the predefined text and digit layouts?

try ... a fake overwrite to rom files ;)

1. Total Commander with "hide files in rom" and "virtual 2 window mode" ticked,

2. make a text file with the same name and make a "one tap copy" function button,

3. if nothing rejected, you are in luck ;)

but i always get one problem with all your build...the SMS always getting screwd when im travelling to the city (i leave at suburban), the time n position on conversation will be random, maybe am i the only one with this problem...or i'm just stupid person who cant resolve this problem?please help

Thanks dio.. i managed to fix it another way though without total commander:
i installed fingerkeyb..
pressed cancel when the config appeared.. changed to standard keyboard..
went to the program folder and de-registered fingerkeyb with the register program that was in the folder..
then uninstalled..
then re-installed..
problem solved and fingerkeyb is now fully customisable using the config program ;)

Hi. 1st post. I feel kinda bad asking cos this stuff is way over my head & I can't see myself contributing much. I have tried what I know.:confused:

I've tried this ROM and WM6.5.1_23085. Both had the same problem for me. Syncing files was taking forever. Eventually realised it was syncing files to the storage card (plenty of posts about making this happen, none about stopping it!). Usually it wouldn't get to finish cos the connection would drop out after a while. Only about 6M of files. If it did finish it would just start syncing again straight away.

I've tried:
- Advanced config - location folder was already set to device, not storage card, so I couldn't see why it was happening in the first place.
- Turning off encryption on storage card
- Replacing the ignore_my_docs file on the card
- Removing the SD card and setting up a new Activesync partnership - then it wouldn't let me sync Files at all.
- flashing ROM with SD card removed - same again

I had to change ROMs to get on the road - unfortunately - cos I loved the look and feel of this one. These were my 1st 6.5 ROMs but now I'm using another 1 (wapvirus 23004) with no problems so it's not the 6.5 OS on my hardware. Also when I do transfer to storage card now it's actually very fast so it's not my cheapo SD card either.

Saw earlier that bikertibi has had enough. Totally can't blame you. Cannot believe how demanding some people can be on volunteer heroes. If not for you guys I would have spent $1000 on an iPhone by now. Thanks for all your work.

So I'm not asking you to fix my problem - just reporting a bug I think. I could be wrong. :o

Suggestions appreciated. Sorry if I'm leaving something important out.

You can make a shortcut with totalcommander to the file Camera_loader.lnk, placed in windows folder.

Is not posible to remove apps after flash. You have to recook the rom or to instal a clean version...
