change outgoing volume

is it possible to alter outgoing and inbound volume seperately?
the volume is fine on my polaris i can hear voices/music without a problem.
but the outgoing volume, the volume of my voice when calling, is much too loud.
is there any way i can lower outgoing volume? for that matter, is it possible to increase inbound above the normal setting with the +/- keys?

I had the same problem (on htc wizard),
but I haven't found that kind of tweak. I fixed it by changing the Radio to the newest version.
