Can anyone tell me how to make the title of a new thread appear in Bold type so it can be seen?

They are bold untill you click on them "view them" ;)

Sorry Stylez, I think you misunderstood my question.
I am totally new to forums. When I post a new thread, it's title is in ordinary font (like this thread) whereas most other peoples' are in BOLD. Can you tell me how to do this?:confused:

When you post a new thread, you have already read it.
This is inescapable since when you post it, you open it immediately, and have therefore read it.

Hence, when you see it on the page, you have already opened it, and therefore, your computer sees it as "read", which means it does not make the title bold anymore.

Bold = not read.
Read = not bold.
Posted by yourself = read = not bold.

Hence, the title to threads you have posted will never, ever be bold on your computer (until, that is, others post on the thread which means there is something in the thread you have not yet read, meaning not read = bold).
They will be to other readers who haven't read your post yet.

I hope that clarifies things.
