If boost operates in any of the networks supported by the quadband dash (850/900/1800/1900MHz networks) it will work.:D

Si amigo:D, If not... I assume you can set them manually with some help from the guys at boost providing you the access points.

I hope it helps,

But for data transfer, Boost uses Nextel's IDEN network, not GSM....wont this be a problem?

Amigo, after doing a little bit of research due to your new info above the only phones that are compatible with Nextel's iDEN network are Nextel phones and Boost Mobile phones and Southern Linc. Pretty much everything else is either CDMA or GSM and are not compatible. So the HTC Excalibur is not compatible with Nextel network since the device itself should have been designed to support iDEN network. There are also no touch screens that are compatible with Nextel. The only PDA's that are compatible are several Blackberrys and these are all branded Nextel (see Nextel's webpage). So, if you have your exalibur you will probably want to search another service provider.

I hope this helps.:D

as of January 10 2010, Boost mobile is using their CDMA service. I think I am going to try the starter pack sim deal through Boost and see if it works on my unlocked Dash phone. Stay tuned.

"As Boost Mobile in the U.S. is wholly owned by Sprint Nextel, they run on both Sprint's CDMA network and Nextel's iDEN network. Boost Nationwide Unlimited (AKA Monthly Unlimited Plan), which differs from their previous unlimited plan, is offered for iDEN handsets as of January 22, 2009 and CDMA as of January 2010."
