I am running Android Ion and have calibrated the screen by touching the two little red dots. My problem is that when i touch, like when i am texting or dialing, i feel like i am touching a 2 inch area because some times if i hit one thing it registers something an inch away.
Is it too sensitive?

Are you saving after you calibrate?

I came here the other night looking for the answer to the exact same question -- on first boot of android, I could run the calibration utility, and it would change the calibration, but I could not get it to approach correctness. The entire right side of the screen was about .5-1cm off (touch 's' on the keyboard, and it registers 'a'... or vice versa; I don't remember).
Someone suggested that on first boot, this was a problem, but it seemed resolved on subsequent boots. I shut down, started again, calibrated (and then hit menu [aka winmo power] -> save), and now it works much better. Still not perfect, but within the range of poorly calibrated (couple mm on the vertical axis), not broken calibration mechanism.

I have re-booted several times. It has not gotten better. Texting is borderline impossible without the stylus. ARGHHH

There is another calibration tool, where you use the qwerty keyboard to type out the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog. It makes a MASSIVE difference and makes the keyboard as good as a winmo equivalent minus the smaller buttons.
