Ran into a problem with my vzw htc vogue (xv6900). Did a soft reset
and when it booted back up it hangs at the vzw flash screen. Its out
of warranty and verizon was no help. I've searched all over and can't
find any information to help diagnose.

Text that usually shows during boot has changed.

It used to read:
M 03
B 05
P ACAAAAM-4070
R 1.60.30
D 1.15

Now it reads:
M 03
B 01

R None
D 1.15

Does this mean the phone is bricked or is there
anything that I can try to repair it? Relative noob when it comes to
cellphones, but I've got some limited electronics experience, so I'm
willing to try anything.

thanks :)

You have no radio so it won't boot, somehow the radio code got corrupted.
I would try installing the complete bell rom and see if that help... (but *do not* run customizations, soft reset as soon as it says anything about customizing! as it'll turn your phone into a bell phone)
Then flash to the latest nfsfan and let it customize.

That makes sense.

Any suggestions on a good guide for the basics of flashing a rom?

And where would I track down the bell rom?

Oh, and what's an nfsfan?

I guess I'm more of a complete noob ;-)

go to
ppcgeeks.com
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=19071

it shows all the stock rom links.
i would click bell, update radio. *search stuck in bootloader mode, there should be a thread made by me. the answer and links are provided*, or just reunlock, flash radio, and put custom rom

-nfsfan is a user overhere and ppcgeeks.com, he makes roms which are very popular and stable. iwould recommend using his roms, seeing as they are pretty good.
