Canadian users: Anyone know if the Elf works on Telus' new network?

Their device compatibility page says that it "should work" on their network but doesn't guarantee it. They advertise HSPA and nothing else, but the Elf doesn't do HSPA, only EDGE and GPRS for data. So, has anyone here tried it?

no the htc touch (elf/elfin) will not run on Telus' new HSPA/3G network.
telus and bell have added support for 3G gsm phones, but not for legacy EDGE phones, as they still rely on CDMA and EVDO technologies for 2G.
