hi i am a newbie, please bear with me as i dont know where to post this thread.
i recently loaded duttys bsb6.5 rom. i have following questions.
1) this rom has a different interface such as pics, music, text, email clock etc are written on home screen, its not manila. is it called titanium?
2) i loaded rom but after few hours, the system hangs and reinstalls the rom itself, i have tried the direct flashing from internal storage as well as from RUU inclued.
3) i read about mtty, but dont know how to use it, mtty opens up with a notepad like thing, i am completely lost
4) please suggest a best rom for diamond similar to dutty's with text interface, please suggest why my phone hangs after duttys and what shud i do to avoid it.
5) i like rom which is minimal, text interface, complete with softwares such as change screen, c home editor etc
i do not want the icons on the bottom ( softkeys written in clutter), i want just text,no bars etc
everything as this picture is fine but i dont want the lock , start, at the bottom, neither the softkeys in clutter, simple text softkeys are fine.
if anyone knows a light, titanium, like bsb6.5 duttys rom, please suggest or help me to resolve the hangs and freezes on bsb6.5

windows mobile revolution is slow, i dont want that.

Hi, your problems you are having are simple. They are dealt with very easily! The MTTY basically formats your phone to get rid of any "left over bits" of the old rom. There is a thread where someone has explained in detail how to use it, if I were to explain here, I would simply be copying his thread so please read it! The thread is titled "the difinitive mtty thread".

Regarding the rom you have chosen, you are just not used to the new layout. I'm not a fan of titanium either. The original style interface is called manilla, which I prefer. People are trying to move away from it because it is RAM hungry. I recommend using energy rom. I recommend this because he has a manilla (or touch flo 3d) version, AND his rom is pre loaded with fun applications for you to try out! Here is the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=517300

Good luck, dont panic! It's not as difficult as it seems! :D

To do an MTTY you dont need any SPL. You need hardSPL to flash a custom ROM... Have you done a HardSPL ?

To do an MTTY basically all you need to do is charge your phone, then bring it into bootloader (press reset button under the stylus and press volume down until the 3 colour screen is shown).
next step is to connect the phone to the pc with the usb cable. the phone should say USB instead of serial. if it doesnt then your pc doesnt have the correct drivers. (drivers found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540290)

once your phone says USB, then load the exe file mtty1.42.exe (also found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540290) and select USB in the drop down list and press ok.
a white text box will appear, type task 29 and press enter. once it's finished, use CustomRUU.exe to flash your new rom. job done.

Now, where are you getting stuck? I think the MTTY guide is pretty noob friendly! I've attached a custom RUU to save you looking...

Hey, I found this on the main page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211
It's a complete upgrading guide. may be read that before doing anything to your diamond! You dont want to break it for good!

Do you make use of MTTY ver 1.42? It seems the MTTY that you use is Test version.
For MTTY complete instruction go to:
