Does anyone know why TomTom7 will not recieve GPS data when the telephone has no simcard inserted.
All other GPS based programs work just fine.
Thanks

It should do.

I use an old Artemis without a sim card, but it takes up to 10 minutes to lock on to the satellites.

(so, I usually leave it next to a window at home before setting off!)

Sorry, I put my question wrongly.
Without the simcard gps info in TT7 works allright.
However the telephone in flightmode (simcard inserted but telephone switched off) Tomtom gets no gps data. It says: "All connections switched off(Flightmode)".
But all other gps based programs work normally.

Thanks for your answer.

My Orbit 2 works fine with only BT on. If You switch OFF everiting TomTom detects fly mode and get stupid mode. 7.915 shows the advice but use GPS, but other versions need something ON.

When the phone is in flight mode, the gps is disabled to.
It's unnecessary to navigate in an airplane? :-P
