great rom man, congrats and thnx for your work.

I have a problem I can't resolve about dialer:

After install your rom I just installed Tachi Phone Canvas onto my Diamond and it works fine a few days. But now I have no control whatsoever over the sound settings. No ring tones play when anyone calls me (although it shows the incaming call) nor can i change any of the ring tones!
If I change the profile to just vibrate, it vibrates perfectly, but when on ring mode it doesn't ring!

If I uninstall the Tachi Phone Canvas and re-install it works fine a short time again till it fails over and over again.

Any sugestions?

Did you apply a new theme before that or installed a new program? It happened to me too but after a soft reset everything was fine.

By the way..I installed all in internal memory. not in device.

Whats with the blur?? Are you using the test ROM?
That problem was in the test ROM but its removed from the released ROMs.

Did you install HQ_background for SENSE? for some reason it removed the cpr file. I'll upload the cpr files, just put them in the windows directory.

Yes, the "three" is fast. I don´t know how much faster than the previous one, but is fast (people, remember we have a Diamond with WM6.5+Sense2.5!!)

i have installed this firmware and i have a problem

On active sync, there are no check boxes for me to choose the content i want to sync. I need to remove "notes" otherwise it wont sync my contacts.

Also my xT9 my word list is always blank, i cant add new words to it.

Yes it is still here. I have the ROM now and i have to say that i like much more the titanium version of all ROMs i tried till now.
The used RAM was about 71% with a 14 pagepool.

Problems are the same on testrom with ezinput. ram was bout 72 - 74

btw, I rolled back to superlite version 2.5 now, and found gsensor is not working 'out of the box' for calculator, but Gconfig works just fine(just for your info, to help you find the cause, not meant to criticize in anyway).

Few modules updated again [sensorsdk verison downgraded]. In fact many modules updated along with new camera version.
[I think I'll stop worrying about the appoinment editor for few days, Appoinments can be added from the default windows calender].

Will upload the ROMs as soon as I go home.

This time I will be releasing 3 versions:
1. Without phone canvas and Ezinput. [142 mb free] [57% RAM]
2. With phone canvas and Finger Keyboard. [134 mb free] [62% RAM]
3. With phone canvas and Ezinput. [127 mb free]] [62% RAM]
So now you have an option of choosing whatever you want without installing anything later :)

Sometimes it comes in the good month, but starts from 2012, sometimes it comes in the wrong month(in which you actually live).

This bug can be avoided, when you add such repeated appointments through the windowsmobile agenda itself although.

Can you please take a look of this bug if it's also in your newest rom and probely fix it? If this bug and your known bug (Appointment editor not working) are fixed, I will defenatly flash your newest rom to get excited about the faster manilla (2012) :D

I don't think it is a bug in this rom, i experienced this bug on various roms (also official) and believe it's a problem of either Microsoft Office, Office Mobile or even ActiveSync/WMDC. I've been using several versions of these programs for years and somehow my birthdays always get messed up like you describe or they appear twice on the same day, a day before the actual day or on both days. One time i managed to have 3 birthdays of all my contacts spread all over the place ;-)

It works. All you have to do is install Advanced Configuration Tool, run it. Go to Messaging and enable first three options. :D

I sent a text today and it after that it didn`t show up in inbox/outbox/sent items but after i enabled sms sent notification and thread mode it was there. I don`t know why.

I did MTTY with task 28 and task 29, flash was OK and hard reset after.

Thanks for the ROM, contact selection in the EZ input has problem, we get a white blank screen in the place of contact list, previously when i used to install ez input 2.1 in your roms i was getting the same result, looks like some required packages were removed. Hope you will fix this.

Sorry for the newb question, I've been reading tons of posts and didn't come up with an answer to my Q:

How do I flash this ROM? I saw a method in this tutorial (showthread.php?t=416211) that says "3. Run the RUU" but all I get from the ROM I downloaded is a ruu_signed.nbh file.

So please tell me, should I use this RUU (showthread.php?t=396073) along with the .nbh file?

Or should I use this Internal Storage (showpost.php?p=5026026&postcount=5) method?

phone canvas disappeared because you installed don salari tweaks :)
install advance config and under "phone" change "phone skin" to enabled.

The rom is not radio specific. In fact u cant make a ROM radio specific!

I sent a text today and it after that it didn`t show up in inbox/outbox/sent items but after i enabled sms sent notification and thread mode it was there. I don`t know why.

Ah I thought you were not getting notifications for the new messages and not for the delivery reports!
My bad.
Then you are right, you need to change those 3 options in advance settings.

I`m sure that it isn`t you fault. Diamond just doesn`t have enough RAM and speed for sense. Anyway, excepting Twitter tab and manilla text i don`t like sense that much. This is why i`ll wait for your TF3D version :D, it will fit like a glove on my Diamond. :D

Yes I'll fix it. And the GSMvsAuto option disappeared because of donsalari tweaks. You can enable it again from advance config, under phone settings.

Don't worry about my noob question re: .wmp files. I realise now that you mean .wma files and that Windows Media Player can be used to convert non-wma files to .wma.

I'm running phone canvas though, along with S2U2 lock. Both together add another 8-10% of usage, but the difference with 80%+ is too wide.

Think I'll redo the whole thing again with MTTY, Basic and see if things change.

I've been playing with your Sense 2.1 ROM and it definitely feels faster than Sense 2.5 as you have said. Is there a cab file that could change the Taskbar and Bottom bar of the Sense 2.1 ROM to the same plain black ones that are in your Sense 2.5 ROM? I think the plain black ones look much better.

Also I've just tested your Sense 2.5 Basic ROM and can confirm that the memory usage is ~65%/. But I really need EZInput and the baked in Phone Canvas seems to work better than when installed using the Knoop cab, so am waiting for the fixed ROM.

Actually, my sense ui crashes even when i choose "Updates and events" within the people tab. "Call history" and "Favorites" work.

Thanks for a great ROM, like it very much. But would you consider leaving the FingerKeyboard out of the ROM in the next version?

Right now it only runs with english and pretext keyboards and adding other (in my case swedish and german) keyboards does not seem to be possible because of the alredy built-in Finger Keyboard.

For me and other non-english writing people it would be so much better to just install the FingerKeyboard app on our own. :cool:

Thanks for the great ROM, I've tried and tested a couple over the last weeks, but yours just does it ALL, and FAST, and with LOTS of mem !!

One issue I ran into yesterday though. I can't connect to 3G for some reason. (noticed it when send a Twitpic took aaages, so connection speed is really not there !)
I did a back to back test (sorry, I'm an engineer ;-) with my girl's diamond by switching Sim cards to see if it was a provider issue, but my sim worked in her phone and she did not get 3G in mine. Even tested downloading the same app from o-market simultaniously and BIG difference in DL speed.

Long story short... what am I doing wrong, or did I miss a fix for this ?(searched for "3G" and "HSPDA" without success...)

I have been using your new rom for 3 days. I found Every thing fine for me except for Incoming Call Ring Tone is not played. All other notification & alert sounds are played but except the call alert.

Tried it but it does not work. The calibrator is there and it even opens, but the bubbles inside the horizontal and vertical bars do not move at all and when pressing calibrate it takes forever with no result...

1) Without Phone Canvas
Free main memory : 140.656mb
RAM used : 50%

2) With Phone Canvas
Free main memory : 138.976mb
RAM used : 55%

Camera version updated.
Windows lock removed.
And few module versions downgraded and few modules removed.
Much more smooth and fast than the previous one.

Right now SENSE2.5 version is also getting uploaded. [Please wait for 2 hours from the time of this post] :)
I have no time to test it.
The above changes are made to the SENSE2.5 ROM as well.
Please confirm if the appoinment editior is working or not.
The Second version of SENSE2.5 will get uploaded later. [With phone canvas and EzInput].

Just open settings from SENSE settings->all settings.
install start menu tweak and it'll remove the settings icon from the start menu.

note : settings icon works properly on SENSE2.5 ROM..

Thanks for new updates.
There is still a problem with setting a ringtone. As it was mentioned a few posts ago, the phone is silent when receiving an incoming phonecall. The predefined ringtones don't work - system says that the files are corrupted (also mentioned few posts ago).

Despite a minor bugs your rom is getting better and better:) Huge thanks for your hard work!

BTW Does anybody know a working cab for videocalling for current releases? I mean different one than linked in 3rd post (it doestn't work for me). - Thanks!!!

I am running this rom, the Sense 2.5 and i think its great :D
I have MSN, Tomtom, Opera, all works fine but 1 thing:

My HSPDA/3G dont work. It only connects via G and not via HSPDA/3G.
On Settings -> Connections -> Advanced Network i have selected 'enable HSPDA only'. I also tried another RADIO (1.00.25.05). With my last rom it had a button in Communications manager under 'data connection' where i could activate 3G. In this rom there is no such button.

Does anyone knows how i can activate my H/3G?

I did Mtty and Installed Sense 2.5 with canvas and EZinput. The Incoming Ringtone worked for some time and stopped working after sometime.

I installed the following after ROM Installation
1. S2U2 2.34
2. S2U2 Left Lock Plugin
3. DON Tweaks 2.0
4. Clean RAM
5. GB Soft Gprs Plugin
6. HTC Network Wizard
7. Avanced Config
8. Opera 10

Later i Uninstalled each app one by one and found the ring tone came back when I Uninstalled S2U2. I dont know why but the Ring tone is just working fine for past 2 Days but without S2U2. I hate throttle lock. I would like to have the S2U2 Working or at least Manila locker. But the rest works fine except as I said before in the Don Tweaks is installed the phone canvas dont work and contacts dont show up

But the roms too good to be changed for the above petty reasons. The battery backup stands good and rom dosent hangup.

Hope Don fix the lock problem and the canvas switching after tweak install

Well you don't need to include vbookmanager into your rom cause people who don't use opera won't find it useful.
IMO the best would be to provide vbookmanager as a cab :) (a cab to enable AGPSSetting would be great too)

I am not very sure if the cab will work. I will PM you the files after going home, put them in the windows folder and let me know if its working.
If it works then i'll make a cab :)

Just realised that when I get off Bluetooth the volume for the system changes to low. So the ringtone which was working earlier stopped working. :)

Not sure if its the same issue others are facing.

Hi ,

This month I have tried all the 6.5 roms on XDA.
My conclusion so far is that the bsb-rom from Makeveral by far the fastest is.
No stuttering and everything works as it should.
Followed on a good second place is Don Solari & I3v5y !.

Now i am gonna try you're improved lite rom for the last time.
And hope i have found a new first place holder, otherwise i switch back to Makeveral and marry him ;-)

First of all thanks Don for providing us with sucha spacious ROM, what a relieve to have some memory left after installing everything i want and being able to stay at an acceptable RAM level!

I am on the latest WM6.5/Sense2.5 release with PhoneCanvas and Ezinput (17052010). Somehow i'm not able to play the MP4 video's i made with the device, not in HTCalbum or WMplayer.
I've installed several Youtube applications, but i can't get them to play videos either(error: this video can't be played).

Tried to use Youtube in Opera 10 and IE but againto no avail.

Is it just me or is this a bug??

Try installing latest flash player [link (http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/)] BTW i think Don removed something to make the ROM lite and you have to install something to be able to play them.

Another issue I was walking across, was the gsensor that stopped working after GAlarm 2.5 sets of the alarm. to get it working again, I need to reset the phone.

I've just tried your new Sense 2.1 3.0 (without phone canvas).
I've just modified the pagepool to 16 and let me tell you that my diamond runs at an incrdible speed, I couldn't belive it ^^
So many thanks to your great work again ;)

There is just one IMPORTANT problem I have with it:

In the Start Menu I couldn't access the setting path: when I clic on Settings it said:

The file LSCustApp connot be oppened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file

So am I the only to have this problem (which is very important as you can imagine ;)) and if no, how could I fix it?

Thanks in advance for solving this, and I will keep return some feedback later asa I will have enought time to test it properly.

Edit: Well, I followed the indications you gave previous posts ago (in the sense settings /all setings and it worked...but I needed to disable sense and reenable it but here I am stuck: I couldn't enable it again since I don't have the sense...

So please fix this enormous problem and your Rom will certainly be the best one ever released ;)

I have found this rom quite good, its seems to work well for me.
Though I do have a few niggles id like to iron over.

1. The messaging is not in 'conversation' form
2. There is no windows live application like I remember on my stock o2 rom. I have to use internet explorer to access hotmail
3. I have just signed up to paddypower I they have a java application which i cant open. Is there a way to get it to work.
4. Can I change internet explorer in manila to opera? IE is pants!

I'm using the latest Sense 2.5 ROM, and just realized I don't have a ringing sound when there's an incoming call.
I've set the ringtone properly, but it just doesn't play it when the phone receives an incoming call.

One thing I noticed is when the phone starts to ring, I see this window that pops up with the title "Phone - Incoming" for a second, then goes away. Not sure if that has anything to do with the no ringing sound.
Also going to the old Sounds & Notifications settings, I do see the ringtone set, and pressing the play button, the mp3 will play.

Hope it gets fixed in the next ROM.

The Incoming Ring problem keeps coming back after some time after each Hard Reset. I request you to let know is there a possible fix through cab or a update will be made available any sooner as I dont want to change to any other ROM as I said this one is too good to change.

With the sense 2.5 rom i found that converting the ringtone to a wav file instead of a mp3 works. I also stored it on the storage card and it seems to work for me without any issues.

Because Initially Ringer stopped working when Don Tweaks was installed, When removed it worked for sometime and stopped. Then it stopped working and worked when S2U2 is uninstalled. Now again its not working

I don`t think that there will be a fix for that. Just use settings from Settings Tab, at least that is what i did.

Yes, of course it works, but the problem is that I want to install the theme I've created and I need to switch off the sense, install the theme then re enable the sense (but it's impossible with this problem :()

Mtty will format your phone memory. After that you have to flash your new rom and it should work like a charm.

The superlite 2.1 canvas works great except there ws some iisue in network for which connection setup was installed.

ALthough one small issue is still there, regarding the incoming call display on screnn , first the windows one pops up then the Tachi , can Don check this?

This has got nothing to do with the rom or your phones memory, this problem comes around every now and then with TomTomNavigator and probably is related to a corrupt file of either the application itself or the map you use. Try installing a fresh copy of the application and place a fresh copy of your map to your devices internal memory.
btw....installing to device (why not...this rom give you plenty of room) might do the trick too.

Sorry i can't be more specific, but it's been a while since i encountered this problem and once solved the solutions tend to fade away in my old brain....
