Cool! But still there are some minor annoying issues (at least to me) with older builds. Just as an example "if i m opening any settings from start menu->settings->system, and closing it, it will redirect to home screen, so for updating things there i will need to navigate again", "ordering start menu icons is not handy", few minor things.

Anyways apart from that, this would be a definite outstanding combination (WM6.5+Sense 2.5) considering stable free RAM. :) Thanks.

After booting, If you see the task manager. It shows 58% :) So its 58% used.

Hey this is a great ROM! Thanks!
The RAM consumption is amazing after half an hour of using the ROM and openiing everything up I can do to give it a good workout, it is still only at 76%.

The only issue I have really is that the text messaging through the manila interface doesn't work. When I select a contact and select "send message" it doesn't work at all. :(

Also the issue where opening text messages from the mobile messaging takes a while, but I think there is a patch for that.

And u cant change the background.
I have removed some component, to make the ROM lite.

And any radio should work. I am using 1.15 and olinex 1.40.

This ROM is super. its the first one ive tried that i reckon is good enough for everyday usage. I can get everything i need working including wifi, Tomtom, games, playing video files using coreplayer is glitch free. This thing is a beast! Using the Xperia radio im getting a GPS fix in about 20 seconds which is very good.

Take your SIM card out, clean the chip with a soft cloth and put it back in. This might not be anything to do with the ROM as you are the only one here with that problem.

If that doesnt work do a hard reset (vol down, enter, reset)

If that doesnt work flash it again using MTTY.

firstly, amazing job. thank you Don, the most usable 2.5 rom for the diamond.

the only issue i'm having seems to be with the contacts tab. no dial/text etc. ive disabled the contacts tab as a temp.
i've noticed a few other comments on this. is it a standard issue?

Memory usage is simply amazing for a 2.5 ROM. The only thing I miss is the Tachi dialer and being able to call from Contacts tab, but it's not a big problem.

Will have a play with it today, but first impression are VERY VERY good :D

calling from fav contacts works just fine now, and memory consumption stays at about 70 = 73%, still amazing!

HTC album doesn't scroll, and menu's in album (for setting favorite album etc) are not working. Also i can't see and play MP4 videó's in both WMP and HTCalbum.

My 'dealbreaker' is that HTC calender is display only, i can't add a new appointment or see details of excisting ones, and i truely dislike the standard WM calender.

This rom is the best WM6.5 with sense i had on my diamond, gonna play around a little more cuz i really wanna keep it.

dug my old thumbcal .51 out and added to quickdial. can now use calander.

dug out my old opera 9.5 (samsung ver) faster than 9.7 or 10 and no memory issues.

1. Can't edit appointment in Calendar tab - when I tap on Appointment , nothing happens.

2. When I tap on Sound in Setting tab - HTC Sense restarts.

And you won;t be able to make calls through favorite tab because I have removed phone canvas. It really consumes a lot of RAM (approx 5-6%). So i guess its worth excluding it from the ROM. If any one needs it, I'll upload a separate cab for the phone canvas in post#2.

Its working properly for me. LED is working. Messaging tab show 1 (in green).

thumbcal was developed on xda this is one of the 'old' betas from dev and hacking from about 3 years ago. very stable and flashy;) hope its of use as its very low footprint. i think the full version of now is paid for but not certain?

You have to select your wallpaper twice. I mean you have to go into: Menu>Home Wallpaper>Animated Wallpaper

The screen will look like it is going to do something, but then dump you back to the Home screen. But do it again and it should work, ie:

Don take your time, a fast, usable rom with some minor bugs is way better then a perfect rom that lets you make coffee (and drink it...) before it responds :)

one more thing i noticed is that the notification icon in the taskbar (the question mark) sometimes still remains even after reading the mesage or dismissing the notification. Anyone else getting this? I'd rather not have to do another hard reset/MTTY.

i don't have any probs using alarm (thank God it worked this morning...lol) i did set a different sound as the default one is not present in the Windows folder. My sense screen does show the alarm time btw

It seems my testing of the alarm may have been a little flawed; it's Friday today and I had turned on an alarm for earlier in the day, which was disabled on the weekends. So basically, Sense is more intelligent than me

In the last week, I have flashed my Diamond more than 300 times just to make sure you won't face any problem and that you won't have to do MTTY.
But now I am scared! [Coz my diamond becomes, metaphorically, RED HOT!] Thats why I am posting the Test ROM here. Please try it and mention the problems. I might not always reply to your problems in the thread but I am making notes about all the mentioned problem.

CONFIRMED! Installing the facebook fix crashes the Sense and gets stuck in the launch process. Would be sweet to have a Facebook Tab since the Twitter aint so popular. But anyhow it´s the best ROM at the moment and I have flashed nearly 120 times my Diamond to know whats good! Keep it up Don.

Excellent ROM.
Running at 60% RAM usage after soft reset going up to about 70% after opening and closing a few programs.
As long as I can keep my satnav running whilst recieving bluetooth in car calls I am happy. That's allways been the litmus test for me. Nothing worse than getting a call and TomTom closing when in a city centre.

Still can't get any of the soft key menu items to be active in 'Album'.
Contacts tab appears to be working fine.

Just a quickie. I do also like using normal contacts with the fast finger sliding 'alphabet' selector. Is there a way to re-enable this?

2) sound and display settings restarts manila
3) calender appointments work now but the first two inputs (title n location) are not visible properly
4) dude..why did u shift to this taskbar, the previous one was way better!!
5) installed tachi dialer n getting ram cons 64% at startup!!!!!!! awesome!!!
6) messages not opening thru manila

is there a way to get the manila scrolling a bit smoother, any settings for advanced config??

+1 for this.....completely agree....after tryin several 2.5 roms, i had given up bcoz of ram issues but you have made it possible...i can proudly say dat my diamond has still some life left.. ;)..

1) I know the reason for this; will be fixed in the next rom. My bad..!
2) This I can't figure out because for few people, it doesn't happen.

Actually i have strange behaviour on the People tab. I added my favorites contacts, but when i press the picture nothing happens.
Have you an idea why?

people tab doesn't work (i mean , pressing "pictures" of contacts not working but if you press underneath the pictures, it takes you to contact details where you cannot dial any of the numbers by pressing them).

Also, CommManager is a mess (tabs are missing).

i've just flashed the rom and will see if there are other issues.

i think he is talkin about nuedynamic clock...but as far as i remeber...its for underclocking...i use it and it also comes as "Performance" under "Settings"...

GPS is working fine for me, didnt install quickGPS so it took approx 5 min for a fix, great ROM with a lot of RAM left, thx.

This app. is making overclocking from 520Mhz to 624Mhz of the CPU.

I tried it and it makes even graphics more smooth.

Another solution is to make it more fast is to install Diamond Tweak app. and make some changes to the Graphics Fluidity into high (at cost at some RAM)

lol..you have a point...but you also have to use your phone more and not only look at the weather animation; on homescreen click menu>home wallpaper and choose whatever you want. If you don't wanna have an animation or picture at all, make a picture while placing your diamond on a plain black surface and choose that...voila.....calm black backgound.

It didn't work like that for me, but I found a registry entry to force wallpaper mode in the home screen! :D

By disabling the animated weather background and the 1 hour 2 minute (or however many minutes) clock flipping (that was posted a few pages ago) in the home screen the ROM seems even more responsive right away!

Can't wait for a version with a working Camera. :) I love my Diamond even more now. :D

You mustn't have installed the latest ROM...the camera doesn't work in the latest ROM...Don Salari has already acknowledged that it doesn't work...

And my GPS works no problem in the latest ROM.

hmm.. i am not going so good here.. installed.. worked well.. then i installed Resco File Explorer.. (app only).. after that.. it wouldnt run.. so i soft reset.. then HTC Sense wouldnt start.. so did a hard reset.. which brought everything back up..

except now i couldnt access my Internal 4GB!?

4- Windows Media Player does not play certain formats such as mp4 videos.
5- When I open camera, everything is good, but focusing and zooming by touching navigation bar does not work, when I press the button to take a shot it sound and shows my picture preview but it show waiting sign and it lasts forever and then no pictures saves!
6- Video Camera works but nothing will save when I end recording!
- I've not installed any GPS software to check my GPS but I hope it works!

And after all how can I enable Call History Tab in my HTC Sense, I had this tab on my old TF3D?

You have the old ROM...you need to download the latest ROM. It's in a file called "One.rar".

Some of these issues are fixed...some aren't, such as the album issue. Camera doesn't work in the new release but it's known by Don.

-Yea, I get that black screen with SMS tab in contact card also.
-Camera is a known fault by Don.
-My sounds are working fine. I installed Diamond Tweak and did the 3 audio tweaks to make it loud.

It's not all the buttons, my bad for not saying clearly.

I think so far is the following, from sense setting tab
1. Personalize -> Font, Vibration
2. Sound & display -> Notification sounds
3. Data services

I dunno why these above on-off there is no button. Some check boxes are also not there. Wonder is it because of the tweak.

Ezinput settings is not found also.

Overall, these are the things I can live with. Just minor bug with workaround

3. my contact and add new contact dosent work for me.

i have installed the previous ROM (Don Salari), and after an Hard Reset (after flashing) i had a problem with the people tab (doesn't work).
Actually i installed tha last ROM (one.rar), but the problem with the people TAB remains. In detail when pressing pictures of contacts doesn't happens; if i press underneath the pictures i have the contact details and there i cannot dial too.

I am a little bit complicated because i saw a performance pack and other cabs(overclock e.t.c) and i dont know if i must install that cabs. i mean if i will install the rom only i will have all the ''benefits'' or i have to install the rom and then the performance cab and then another cab.....e.t.c....
